the good times on the blue cross river rink. memorial day service is being held later today the event kicks off at noon to the resting place of general george meade hero to the battle of the gettysburg. church services are honoring the fallen today. st. john's church is holding a special mass after mass all will take part in the salute to the dead. american legion post 21 will hold a memorial. memorial day day starts at pennsbury east. it ends at the legion hall.

a memorial service will be held at the park across the street. sends us photos of the military members in your life or share your pictures join the action at 6abc.com or use the #6abc action on social media. >> 9:05, 8 people are in the hospital two in critical condition after a carbon monoxide leak in montgomery county. one of those sickens was a paramedic who was trying to help. firefighters were called out to west airy street around 11:00 p.m. they found elevated readings in five homes. the source of the leak with a generator in the basement. >> power from the home was shut off on the 21st of this month and sometime between then they purchased a generator running that to power the home. >> when they came up, the guy could barely walk. and the lady she wasn't moving, we thought she was dead.

>> 8 people in all were taken to the hospital, including a a paramedic. crews had to rescue and give oxygen to two dogs. three people are out of a home after a fire overnight. the action cam was on the scene north 25th street in north philadelphia. firefighters were called after 3:00 a.m. they were able to extinguish the fire in 30 minutes. nobody was hurt, but three people are without a home. no word on what sparked that fire. in new jersey, state police are investigating a deadly crash along route 42 in camden county, this weekend. you can hard i -- hardly see the back of the car in the trees. the driver lost control and crashed into a wooded area on blackwood clementon road in gloucester township. one person was thrown from the car and killed. four people are in the hospital nearly two weeks after the deadly amtrak train derailment. the focus of the investigation turns to brand -- brandon

a firefighters has died while trying to rescue residents trapped in northern oklahoma. transportation officials say 15 highways across oklahoma have closed due to flooding. you can see the water pouring from the gas station at mcdonald's. the area was saturated by rain last week. the storm are responsible for spawning a tornado in oklahoma city. one home was destroyed but a tornado in gradey county, but nobody was at home at the time. the storms are blamed on bringing down trees across parts of oklahoma this weekend. it's been rough weather out there. >> reporter: and like we talked about before, severe weather season got off to a slow start and now it continues to hammer away to people in the midwest.
