morning, we have sun up over the horizon, sun glare will be an issue. some cloud cover to the south in southern delaware and along the coast in south jersey, that will be thinning out quickly. we have reports of light patchy fog here and there. 64 degrees in philadelphia currently. 56 in allentown. these numbers similar to what we've been looking at the last couple of mornings at this hour. heading out the door temperatures. 61 degrees by 6:00. # p.m., 63. winds are light and overall it's comfortable. this afternoon it gets warm, 8 # degrees by noon. 86 by 3:00 p.m. the high today 87 like yesterday hitting about 3:30 or 4:00 p.m. we're introducing an air quality issue into the picture today. it's a code orange ozone action alert in philadelphia and parts of southeastern pennsylvania and particularly in urban centers,

people who suffer from heart and respiratory ailments want to limit your exposure from noon to 6:00 p.m. karen rogers this pattern continues into the weekend. i'll have the details in the seven day. >> reporter: this is i-95 at the blue route, northbound traffic as you head toward the airport. we've been watching construction crews backing up and picking up the cones and clearing out on time, looking good out there, you're moving better on i-95 northbound. on the big picture, construction i-95 northbound at cottman, extra construction is cleared. the benjamin franklin parkway outbound we have the right lane blocked, you want to get readier for -- ready for the restrictions for the papal visit. we see crews out there and the ramps to the eastbound lanes we have crews out there currently this morning that will be clearing out in a couple of

minutes or two if they are on time. let's look in new jersey, 42 northbound traffic southbound past 55 we had emergency sign repair. it had been blocking the three right lanes, they cleared that. so looking better right now. traffic is moving okay northbound. matt and tam. >> thank you, karen. developing news this morning, there were two separate shootings in philadelphia overnight, three people were hit by all of the gunfire. now in the first incident it happened at 54th and walnut in west philadelphia. two men were shot during an attempted robbery late last night. both men were taken to presbyterian hospital where they are in stable condition. police are looking at nearby surveillance video hoping for possible suspects. in the second event of the gunfire, a 23-year-old man was shot at 55th and walton avenue at 12:15. he heard gunshots and realized

he was shot in the thigh. that man was taken to presbyterian hospital and is in stable condition. police are checking surveillance video in this case hoping the video tape yields some clues. we're nine days away from pope francis. crews are working around the clock preparing for the historic event. starting next week people in certain areas need to move their cars or they will be towed. every day you'll see new things and hear new things and penndot will release more road closures and restrictions. let's go over to katherine scott live along the parkway with the latest for you. good morning. >> reporter: good morning, tam, yeah, there are going to be a lot of closures in the city, on the benjamin franklin parkway where we are, the set up is underway for the event next week and a lot of heys in the area. we have more information on the closures and when they come to

an end. >> i live in king of prussia and work in philadelphia. we'll see what happens. >> reporter: as the papal visit approaches the reality of the traffic restrictions are setting in. i76 eastbound will be shut down from 476 to i-95. i-95 will be close to route 1. the schuylkill expressway is open webbed from the boulevard to the blue route. 76 will be closed in both directions 76 to route 1. state police and penndot will put up barricades tomorrow at 10:00 p.m. you'll probably wondering why so many roads are closed for such a long period of time. >> public safety first and for most, it's to allow security details and law enforcement to

for that. there's a new parking option for people coming in from new jersey for the papal visit. the city of camden is opening along the waterfront that was going to be used for bus parking. there will be space there for 8,000 cars. drivers have to preregister, the cost is $43 a day. once your parked what are the options? ride patco or the river ferry or walk over the ben franklin bridge. you can get continue updates on the pope visit pope on twitter. -- pope. officers were transporting robinson when he broke the window and jumped out of the moving vehicle. he was seen along the 400 block of martin luther king boulevard.

end of summer. things will change as we go into early next week. bright and warm today, high of 87. we'll repeat that forecast for friday and saturday, beautiful weather might be a little bit more humid friday and saturday, but not too bad. sunday a front comes through giving us a clouds and sun mix. if there's a shower attached to this, it's spotty and light and mainly in the morning so i'm thinking things look good for the eagles home opener and the union game at ppl park. next week, it's back to reality. we'll see highs in the 70s, and well get a little unsettled with a lot of cloud cover around and chance of pop-up shower, monday, tuesday, wednesday, monday i'm on the fence with that because some of the models are disagreeing, but we're back in the 70s next week. >> a strong earthquake in chile

international airport. a cool start to your thursday morning, 67 degrees, it is 5:15. what you got on the roads, not many people on that one. it's early and we're moving nicely so far. we're sure that will change later, so enjoy it now. quiet scene on the schuylkill expressway, 202 westbound traffic heading toward the turnpike. overnight construction has cleared. no big problems. we had an accident on collegeville road it cleared. it wasn't very serious and traffic in that area moving a lot better. on the turnpike westbound near bensalem we have crews blocking two lanes, one westbound near willow grove and restrictions on the ramp from fort washington to the turnpike westbound. crews are out there and working hard. 295 northbound between 47 and 43 watch for the construction blocking the left lane and the

exit ramp for another 45 minutes or so. on the turnpike between exit 3 and 2 we have the left lane blocked. we have a touch of fog in one or two places. earlier in millville we saw 5 miles. 2.5 in reading. i'm noticing a little bit fog in and around the reporting sites right there. 64 in the city. nice and comfortable in the suburbs, just in the 50s, again, but temperatures today will be ten degrees above average. lots of sun, 87 for the high. >> breaking news, an earthquake in chile at least five people have been killed in the wake of the magnitude 8.3 quake. that struck off the county's northern coast last night. that's a biggy. people ran into the streets of santiago after buildings started to sway. you can see the camera shaking
