the home. worst of all her sleeping children were feet away. katherine scott is live on shipley street with all the details. >> reporter: police are trying to get the description of the they men who broke into a home. a 33-year-old woman terrorized her children asleep while this was going on in this northeast philadelphia neighborhood. police have left, but they were here earlier investigating. this happened after 1:00 a.m. police say a 33-year-old woman was waiting for her husband to come home when she heard a noise in the basement. when she went down to investigate she found three masked men who broken through a dead bolt on the door they tied the dog to a pipe. they pushed the woman into the kitchen and put a towel over her head. while a man head a gun to her
head, the other two ransacked the home. they pulled out drawers there was clothes everywhere. police hope they left evidence behind. >> according to the 33-year-old victim, none of the three males were wearing gloves. northeast detective's are on the scene dusting for fingerprints. a 2-year-old and 10-year-old were inside asleep at the time. they were not injured in all of this, the men fled with $800 in cash. the woman's husband came home and called 911. she was interviewed by northeast detective's, northeast detectives want to hear from you if you have any tips about what happened. katherine scott channel 6 "action news." >> thank you for that. now an exclusive, philadelphia police busted a car theft ring worth half a million dollars. only "action news" was there as police loaded a porsche and a
dodge on to a truck. the raid went down on oregon avenue. this is the culmination of a 2 month investigation. investigators believe the cars were about to be shipped to liberia. police will release more details later today. a flurry of gunfire struck two men and several days parked cars in the olney section. detectives found 8 bullet casings between 44th and gratts street. the two victims are in stable condition with gunshot wounds to the hands and leg. a man spotted near the scene of a center city fire is a person of interest in an arson investigation. a viewer shows the intense flames after it broke out tuesday morning. the fire destroyed a restaurant under construction. >> there was approximately $1 million of damage done to the
structure and displaced approximately 40 individuals from their homes. >> the bureau of alcohol, tobacco and firearms posted a 35,000-dollar reward leading to an arrest. philadelphia needs help finding a bike this one was stolen and the man on the right is the one who stole it. the bike was snatched outside 7-eleven on west girard avenue and spring garden. if you recognize the man seen on surveillance, call east detectives. >> runners and bikers might notice an increased presence of police along the schuylkill expressway. the police have gotten complaints about a woman who was confronted wednesday. according to a facebook post, five young boys surrounded her. >> all we know we got e-mails there were adolescent boys on bikes harassing women on the

officers are recovering after being attacked on the street. a man approached an officer outside the police station 20th and spring garden near the whole foods. officials say the man threw a punch the officers called for back up. he bit another officer. the injured officers were taken to hanheman happen for treatment. >> investigators tracked down a couple who they say abandoned a sick dog in chester. they could face charges of animal abuse. that is duffy barking for the first time. it happened yesterday the first time since arriving at the delaware county spca last week. someone found him stuffed in duffle bag in the chester park. he is being treated for parvo a viral illness.
