excitement here is certainly building, so many visitors are in town. they are trying to see the sights around the city. some of them are coming to the parkway to see the progress as everyone is setting up for the papal mass and the festival of families. tonight is the night security fence goes up around the security perimeter and the secure vehicle perimeter. with all the museums and historic sites philadelphia has to offer. it's hard to visit them all. >> he there's too much to see and not enough time. >> we went to the cathedral. it was beautiful. very nice. >> reporter: there is one stop many are making time for, the rocky statue with the classic run up the steps. >> this man, my husband, his name is rocco. >> reporter: as visitors enjoy the city, the flurry around the papal visit continue. more security went up at 19th

change. right now we have a canadian high pressure center off to the north that's driving all the dry air into play. we're getting the sunshine. but the coastal low to the south has formed. as we head into the weekend the rain from the low and its related front will head to the north. at the same time we have high pressure dropping down from boston. the two will do battle. it's going to be a close call. we'll have lots of clouds for the weekend, probably more on sunday than saturday. rain should hold south of philadelphia on saturday. the big question does it push into philadelphia, most models are saying no, but some have been robust saying some of it does get here, we'll go with the idea of 30% chance of rain. most of the models expect rain to push close to philadelphia and holding to the south. wouldn't that be nice if that's the way it worked out.

they found a man stabbed multiple times. the attacker drove himself to the hospital because he was cut in the head. they arrested him on assault charges. developing an explosion and fire in columbia maryland that left two people hurt. when crews arrived the down house was engulfed in flames. the cause is under investigation. officials suspect it was do to an natural gas leak. an autopsy will be performed on a baby boy found dead in a walmart parking lot in ohio. the boy's father was usinged grandmother's suv and forget the baby was in the back of the car. the grandmother drove the suv to walmart where she worked working the full 8 hour shift without knowing her 8-month-old grandson
