>> hello, again, here are some of the stories we're following on "action news" at 12:30, new arrests have been made in the deadly home invasion in montgomery county. two people are in custody after a man was shot in front of a house last month. burlington county adult day care worker is accused of sexually assaulting a members of the jurily challenged client. one of volkswagen's executives is on capitol hill facing an emissions cheating scandal. we have news out of california. one of the americans who stopped a terror attack on a high speed train in france has been stabbed. he and his friends took down the gunman in august. according to police in sacramento stone was stabbed multiple times he was protecting

a friend. he is in stable condition. we have updates at philadelphia firefighters are trying to put out flames in the city's hunting park section. the first call also came in an hour ago about a series of porch fires this is what chopper 6 show when it flew over the scene. no word on what started the flames. no reports of any injuries. >> two people have been arrested in connection with the deadly home invasion in montgomery county. happened last month from the 2300 block of philmont avenue in lower moreland where police found a man shot on the front lawn. he later died at the hospital. vernon odem was at a news conference about the arrest that wrapped up moments ago, cern is live with the -- vern is live with the latest. >> reporter: the montgomery county district attorney has busted two people so far in the investigation of the murder that took place after the pope's visit to philadelphia ended last month. these two philadelphia mendes

monday smith and abdul ali he are in jail charged with savage crimes including murder. 53 kevin brown was shot in the neck on his lower moreland home. the d.a. said brown was murdered because his 18-year-old daughter was trying to break off an abusive 3-month-old relationship with abdul ali. >> we learned during the course of the relationship there was an incident in august during which it is alleged that he and desmond smith together sexually assaulted his girlfriend. she was told that if she told anyone about that event, she was told by mr. abdul savment -- ali if she told anyone about the event she would send desmond smith to shoot her and her

family. >> reporter: the district attorney said this case is under investigation there could be more persons arrested in connection with the murder. live in lower moreland township, montgomery county. vernon odem channel 6 "action news." >> thank you. philadelphia police say they have tracked down a man who they wanted to question in connection with the sexual assault of a temple university student last week. this is surveillance video of the man taken after the attack last monday. police say they have arrested the man for an unrelated offense. they have not linked him to the assault, however. a 20-year-old student was robbed and sexually assaulted on the 1400 block of carlisle by a man with a gun. students across school across philadelphia skipped class to take a stand to their futures. there's a budget stalemate in harrisburg. pennsylvania has been operating without a budget since the end of june leaving schools without

funding. today the students wanted to send a message to lawmakers. >> we are not hooligans messing around. we are serious about our education, we're serious about civil rights and we're serious about letting hour teachers know how much we care about them. >> the students organized the rally using social media. >> police in camden are investigating an early-morning shooting that happened around 1:45 a.m. a man was shot in the chest. was rushed to cooper hospital in critical condition. no motive or suspects. police are looking for more victims after a worker at a day care center for mentally challenge adults was arrested. authorities say 58-year-old william claiborne of north philadelphia had a client touch

him in an inappropriate sexual manner. the female victim was severely mentally challenged and claiborne was her caregiver. lawsuit filed by judy hunt. the court intends to keep details of the deposition under seal until a later hearing. she said the star forced her to perform a sex act when she was 15 years old at the playboy mansion. cosby calls them false and baseless and how her former attorney tried to extort a quarter million dollars from him before she filed the case. 25-year-old model filing a civil suit tuesday claiming he drugged and assaulted her at the playboy mansion in 2008. >> when you were watching him on tv and thinking about what you said he did to you, how does that make you feel.
