clouds have cleared out over south jersey, we're expecting sunshine. 46 in allentown. mid 40s in will come, reading, and trenton. 60 in sea isle city, cooler than yesterday. wins are running out of the west a little out of the west/northwest. not real strong this morning, calm in allentown. 7 miles in philadelphia. as you head out the door to the bus stop. 52 degrees by 6:00 a.m. and probably the same by 8:00 a.m. as we roll through the day, not as mild as yesterday. we did get into the upper 60s, today we stop in the mid 60s. 60 degrees by noon. 64 by 4:00 p.m. cooler air coming in for the weekend, the season's first frost likely, as well. i'll have the details on that. >> reporter: i guess it was
bound to happen. let's hit the roads and get the day started on the vine street expressway. we're still seeing closures, they have been reopening earlier, i wouldn't be surprised to see westbound traffic moving through. looking live, i've seen one car come through right now. they are starting to allow the traffic on the vine street expressway. although it's not scheduled to open until 5:00 a.m., but the first cars are moving through westbound. the ramps are blocked from the schuylkill expressway to the vine street expressway. the cones are set up on the scene. as we look at the big picture, speeds are in the 50s, looking good. the chestnut street bridge that connects penns landing is shut down for emergency construction chestnut street bridge shut down. they are not saying how long
we'll be without the bridge. that could cause problems getting to p.m. we have construction on 295 and broom street. this scheduled to clear in the next half-hour. use rockwood road. >> police are investigating two armed robberies near the temple university campus, in one case, a student was carjacked at one point. katherine scott is following the story live at the 22nd police district. katherine what's going on. >> reporter: that's right, matt, there were two alerts that went out about armed robberies. one we know a temple university student was carjacked at 10th and susquehanna. he is working with investigators to put together a special description of the suspect. they are looking for surveillance footage, that dispiewnt -- student was not hurt. this happened at 10th and
susquehanna. the 21-year-old student was behind the wheel of a cadillac when he was approached by two men. one had a gun. one of the suspects flashed the weapon and said you know the drill get out. the both suspects jumped in the 2005 cadillac with new jersey plates and drove off. the student was left on the side of the street, but was not hurt. late last month a student was sexually assaulted near campus on the way home. temple sent out an alert about an armed roashed at 10th and -- robbery at 10th and susquehanna. in the last half-hour, another t-alert came out, we don't know
the details, but we'll bring you information as we get it. katherine scott channel 6 "action news." >> gunfire in south philadelphia left a man dead and two others injured. the 19-year-old man died at the scene. police say they found a gun in his hand. two others turned up at area hospitals one with a gunshot wound to his arm and the other in his leg, they are in stable condition. a 90-year-old woman is fighting for her life she was hit by a septa bus. mary gable and her nephew were crossing the street. the back of the bus ran over the woman's legs and crushed her torso. the woman is in critical condition. the nephew escaped serious injury. the accident was captured by the septa surveillance system it is
under investigation. police in haddon township are looking for clues in the death of bran -- brandon creato. they found his body, but they cannot determine the reason for death. the auto that his father mailed has been released. >> i just woke up, i don't know where's. the door was unlocked. i guess he unlocked it and left. >> yesterday police investigators have searched for clues. s father has not commented. charles ramsey is retiring. >> it's time moving to another
level. i think i can have an impact nationally on the issues facing law enforcement today. ramsey's retirement will be effective on january 7,017. the fraternal order of police appreciate how ramsey helped the officers families who were killed in the line of duty. >> president obama selected ramsey last year to could chair a committee on policing some response to civil unrest around the county. the president i should a statement yesterday thanking ramsey for his service. dozens of members of the

>> developing right now police in upstate new york are searching for suspects in the deadly shooting near syracuse university. the possible gunmen were seen running into a 160-acre cemetary. they are wanted for killing a 15-year-old boy and wounding a 17-year-old. there was a brief lockdown at the university that has been lifted. officials are asking the community to remain vigilant. firefighters could get extra help battling wildfires. lockheed martin showed off their helicopter in idaho. with a push of the button, they can tell the helicopter to drop water. the base price is $5 million. turning to accuweather,

taking her to the grocery store and the beauty salon. between the months of may and july of this year, the victim noticed money missing from her bank county. the investigation began and last week, mcauliffe turned emple into police -- he, fortunately, into police. new chip credit cards were canceled because customers received new cards with account numbers. target has been converting all of its red card credit to chip and pin cards. customers who use them had to use a personal identification number and signature to complete a transaction. it's an extra layer of security following target's massive data breach two years ago. stocks fell yesterday with the dow losing 157 points.
