philadelphia. in langhorne route 1413 construction southbound blocked both lanes, traffic is squeezing by off to the side. you can see the cones out there, they are still out there. >> this is breaking news, a robber stabbed a walmart employee in northeast philadelphia overnight. katherine scott is outside the store at philadelphia mills mall with more details. >> reporter: good morning, tam that walmart cashier was slashed when somebody tried to leave the store without i paying. police are looking for the man behind it. you can see some police vehicles remain on the scene at the walmart at the philadelphia mills mall on the 4300 block of byberry road in northeast fld. philadelphia. this happened around 1:30. ment police have a clear picture of who they are looking for. there are surveillance cameras

inside and outside the store. police are looking for tips or hoping someone recognizes the man. police say the man tried to leave the walmart with two boxes of boots in the cart and 34-inch tv worth $400. when the cash seer confronted him, the male reached in to show the receipt to the cashier for ten dollars. the cashier knew it was not for the tv or the two pairs of boots when it become confrontation. >> that's when according to the cashier the perpetrator said leave go or i will kill you. he pulled a knife from his pocket, a folding knife and unfolded it and lunged toward

the cashier and attempted to stab him in the chest. >> reporter: the cashier blocked the stabbing in his chest with his that's when he was slashed. as he was putting the tv into the vehicle, apparently he got into a confrontation with the customer who was outside the parking lot and witnessed this. that customer tried to chase after the vehicle and ram his vehicle with the shopping cart, but was unsuccessful. the suspect got away, but they have clear pictures of him, so police want to hear from you if you have any tips on his whereabouts. katherine scott channel 6 "action news." >> thanks, katherine. a 21-year-old college students is behind bars charged with the murder of a delaware visit. christopher frick admitted to

stabbing her in her home. he is a senior at the university of delaware majoring in mathematics. he was obsessed with ekong and she was unaware. he was planning the killing for three years. ekon worked for the rock folder center in newark. authorities stopped short of calling frick a patient of hers, only saying they had a professional interaction. a man is in the hospital after being shot in the face in west philadelphia. the man was hit twice and rushed to penn presbyterian medical center in critical condition. it's not clear why the man was shot and there are no arrests. an 80-year-old crossing guard is chasing child

into court yesterday, a 19-year-old freshman died after a ritual during a trip to pennsylvania two years ago. the grand jury recommended charges against 37 people as well as the fraternity itself. some members could face homicide charges. new this morning, a pennsylvania woman who has accused bill cosby of rape is suing the comedian for defamation. ronita hill spoke out last year claiming she was sexually assaulted by cosby. more than 25 women have publicly accused cosby of rape or sexual assault. cosby has never lincoln criminally charged and denied any wrong doing. donald trump and ben carson have threatened to boycott the next republican debate if organizers do not change the

a cool breeze is the way i would characterize that. by 5:00 p.m., 65 degrees, if you're out walking you might want an extra layer you can peel off. clouds and sun, breezy. highs in the mid 60s in allentown and reading. upper 60s in atlantic city and cape may. the coldest air charges down from the hudson bay and knocks us down for the weekend. we'll have temperatures ten to 20 degrees below average this weekend with highs in the 50s and more importantly overnight lows in the 30s and in a a lot of areas we'll be close enough to the freezing mark where we'll get a widespread frost. you'll see some of it saturday night, but the bigger issue is sunday night. i-95 corridor, urban centers not affected, but 95% of the area will see frost. bring the potted plants in, it's a great weekend, especially
