morning. we had a sprinkle pop through north of philadelphia. some of you might get a slash on the windshield, but it won't last more than a couple of minutes. temperatures are cool, 54 degrees in philadelphia. 46 in allentown. close to 50 in trenton. 49 in wilmington. 6 is degrees in sea isle city. see if the winds are doing very much. starting to pick up a little bit. 1 miles per hour in philadelphia. as we get past sunrise and into the majority of the day i'm looking at breezy conditions building with wind as high as 20. 8:00 a.m., 53. noon, 62. 66 by 3:00 p.m. the high of 67 around 4:00 p.m. a breeze accompanying the clouds and sun mix. when i step inside we'll have dropping temperatures including the possibility of a killing frost. what you got on the roads, karen? >> reporter: we have the schuylkill expressway expressway 26th street on-ramp we have an

accident with two vehicles right here. look at the number of police officers, penndot on the scene we have fire crews they left the scene an ambulance is out here, an accident involving two vehicles, they are blocking the two left lanes, earlier i saw an accident eastbound in the same spot. looks like people may be stopping to check out the westbound accident. the westbound accident still on the schuylkill expressway this is at the 26th street on-ramp creating a tie up on the schuylkill expressway. traffic was closed for construction but nice and open at 4:30, clear on the vine. southbound traffic heading toward center city on i-95 heavy from allegheny to girard, 16 minute ride southbound from woodhaven to the vine. that will get worse, matt. >> police are on the look out for a robber who stabbed a

retail employee at a northeast philadelphia store and took off with a television. katherine scott is live at the walmart at the philadelphia mills mall with surveillance pictures. katherine. >> reporter: police are hoping that someone recognizes the man in the surveillance pictures who police say stabbed a walmart cashier who was trying to stop the man from leaving with items he didn't pay for. there were customers going in and out of the mall. customers are allowed inside the store, the store is open right now. it is on the 4300 block of byberry road in northeast philadelphia. let's go to a picture of the suspect. there are surveillance cameras inside and outside of the store. this is the man police say tried to leave the walmart with a shopping cart and two boxes of boots and sony42-inch flat screen tv worth $400.

he showed a receipt valued at ten dollars. when the suspect tried to leave with the television, the employee tried to grab the flat screen. they were struggling over it when the cashier told police, the suspect said let it go or i will kill you. police say he pulled a folding knife from his pocket and lunged toward the cashier trying to stab him in the chest. the cashier blocked it with the forearm that's where he was stabbed. he has a puncture wound and slash on his forearm. a customer chased him boo the parking lot. >> the customer can be seen grabbing the shopping cart and ramming the perpetrator's car with the shopping cart. the perpetrator sped off making a left on franklin mills boulevard. >> reporter: the suspect left in a vehicle a gray or light

colored smaller vehicle that was a hatch back. the boxes of boots were left behind in the shopping cart. they were dusted for prints. if you have any tips or know who the man is, northeast detectives want to hear from you. katherine scott channel 6 "action news." >> it is 6:05. a woman is on the mend this morning after being shot in philadelphia's west oak lane section. gunfire erupted on north 20th street. police say the woman was sitting in the car when she was shot in the back of the neck. she was rushed to albert einstein medical center in serious, but stable condition. no arrests were made. police rounded up johns after a prostitution sting in camden last night. police say sting like this one happen several times a month. authorities say the men come from all over the south jersey looking to buy sex. >> we have had some professional people that come

the accident has cleared the schuylkill expressway westbound at the 26th street on-ramp. traffic is moving better. we had an eastbound accident as everyone stopped to look at it. that's clear. we have another problem montgomery county 309 route 73 that's flourtown, southbound traffic a disabled vehicle was pushed to the gore point. penndot is on the scene. traffic is moving better on 309 southbound now that they pushed that off to the side. 309 southbound approaching county line road. an accident here blocking the left lane, you see slowing you see police on the scene, flashing lights right there. it's a mess, a number of accidents all on major highways this morning. >> we continue to follow breaking news, philadelphia police are searching for a robber who made a violent getaway slashing a walmart cashier on the way out the door with a stolen tv. katherine scott is live outside the store on byberry road in

northeast philadelphia. >> reporter: that's right, tam, that wal-mart cashier was slashed in the arm and treated by medics at the scene and doing okay. police were investigating the slashing and robbery at the walmart at philadelphia mills mall. a 24 hour store. it happened at 1:30 on the 4300 block of by about her i wouldn't road in -- byberry road in northeast philadelphia. let's look at the picture of suspect. the man tried to leave the walmart with the shopping cart. i had had two boxings of boots and flat screen tv worth # hundred dollars. -- $400. when the cashier asked for a receipt, he showed him an old receipt valued at ten dollars. that's when the scene became confrontation. the two were struggle -- struggle over the tv when the

perpetrator reached for a knife. >> the perpetrator pulled a knife from his pocket a folding knife, he unfolded it and lunged toward the cashier and attempted to stab him in the chest. >> reporter: the cashier blocked the stabbing in the right forearm. he got slashed in the right arm. he left the boots behind and police dusted the boxes for from time to time. the suspect entered a gray or light-color vehicle with a hatch back. a customer chased him on foot, but the suspect got away. there are clear pictures of him in surveillance footage on the inside and outside of the store. police hope someone recognizes him and calls police. just into "action news" a

young man was murdered on the streets of allentown. list were called to the 300 block of west allen street and found the victim a man in his early 20s shot dead on the ground. an autopsy will be performed tomorrow. so far there are no arrests. a 21-year-old college students is behind bars charged in the murder of a delawarepsyc. christopher frick admitted to stabbing carolyn ekong. he called a half-hour later from his parents home to confess. he is a senior at the university of delaware majoring in mathematics. according to police he was obsessed with ekong and she was unaware. he was planning the killing for three years. >> the documents from both residences let's make it clear.

>> welcome back we're following breaking news coming out of north philadelphia. a woman was injured during an abduction. police were called to the 2500 block of north college avenue. a man got his ex-girlfriend into an suv while driving away he lost control and crashed into a parked car and wall. the suspect fled on foot.
