around philadelphia and one of the shootings is now being investigated is a murder, katherine scott is at the scene in southwest philadelphia she's got the very latest. good morning, katherine. >> reporter: good morning, tam, that's right it was a violent night across the city with five people being shot in four separate shootings we're on the scene of a homicide in southwest philadelphia. you can see the block remains closed off with the police investigation. this happened before 2:00 a.m. on the 700 block of senator place, a man in his 20s was shot five times in the face at pointblank range and was pronounced at the scene. a weapon was found under his body. witnesses saw a man flee, police stopped a man who fit the description and they found a gun on him he is in custody. two shooting victims were dropped off at the hospital by private auto around 2:30.
the driver left the hospital. the victims told police this happened at 5th and rock handle. a 24-year-old victim was shot 6 times. a 25-year-old victim was hit twice in his back, both in critical condition, but expected to survive according to police. police have no description of the shooter and they have not been able to find the crime scene or any evidence. police say neighbors didn't hear the gunshots. in the meantime, investigators are trying to interview the men at the hospital. they are checking nearby surveillance cameras. >> we are not certain at this time if the victims are not telling us the truth or may not be certain where they were when they shot. north detective personnel are on location trying to interview them, but they are being worked upon by doctors. >> and back here live on the 7800 block of centor place. the crime scene unit and homicide detectives are here

a 14-year-old girl from delaware. he was conversing with an undercover officer. away was arrested an ordered to turnover his gun and badge. it's been one month since brandon creato was found dead. police are questioning his aunt. she made a movie video about a little boy who disappears and ends up death. >> it's an uncanny coincide, it's salacious because of that, it's a red herring it's a diversion. it brings nothing to the table to find out what happened. >> investigators in cases like this also question the people closest to the victim.
