>> good morning, everybody. we're off to a cloudier start than the last couple of mornings. you can see how thed clouds are start to build in from the westly we'll probably see early sunshine but then those clouds will get thicker. i think that happens pretty quickly this morning. off to another cool start. 36 degrees in allentown, 37 reading, just 41 degrees in philadelphia, still in the 30's in millville. and typically next to that ocean water that's still in the 50's right in sea isle you're still up in the 50's. as we head out to the bus stop look for 40 degrees by 6 o'clock, we'll drop a little bit there. by 8 o'clock up to 45. mostly cloudy skies with some sun early but again those clouds thickening up fairly quickly this morning. as we take a look at temperatures it's going to be a tad milder. noon 60, 63 by 3 o'clock and that is going to your high. six clock 60. this afternoon the possibility of a spotty shower here or there. tomorrow the bigger rain arrives. i'll have details on that with future tracker6 coming up karen and what about roads early. >> we can see they're dry

right here in delaware county. this is i-95 at 420 northbound traffic just a few cars there headed towards the airport with no problems this morning. southbound near the blue route the construction is cleared so we've got a good looking ride right now on i-95 let's see if the vine is opened yet. looking live and not seeing any traffic. westbound, eastbound both copter to be blocked and that's with that overnight construction. usually they open the westbound lanes any minute now but not seeing any cars go through just yet. it's scheduled to be clear by 5:00 a.m. we had an accident that has cleared here middlesex township in bucks county route one southbound moving better now at 413 and lots of construction continues in camden county, they're blocking up to two lanes for the most part wrapping up at 6 o'clock this morning, matt and tam. >> okay, thank you karen. and back to the breaking news from france. a raid has been going on for the past few hours in a paris suburb as police continue to chase suspects from the terror attacks. >> french authorities believe they had cornered the man who planned out last week's coordinated assaults in their capitol and it's unclear if

they got him. erin o'hearn is following all these developments and has new video in from the satellite center. >> reporter: still a lot of questions. it has been a tense situation the last few hours and french authorities are saying that this raid was targeting the mastermind of the paris attacks on friday. now, there are a number of varying reports and this is still unfolding but we know that at least two people were killed in the town of saint-denis. one of those is a woman who detonate add suicide vest. five others have been taken into custody. three of those were inside the apartment where the suspects terrorists were hiring. there are also reports that some police officers were wounded. now, loud and continuous gunfire was heard throughout this neighborhood. it's a suburb of paris in the last few hours. residents were told to stay inside and some of them captured the drama as it unfolded.

[gunfire] >> reporter: so you hear that gunfire there obviously very scary for the witnesses surrounding that eastern people in the area clearly anxious and on edge as the situation developed at a rapid pace. people have been recording what is happening on their cell phones as you can see right there. now, the focus since friday has been on hunting down abdelhamid abaaoud who you see there the alleged mastermind of the attack. french officials say it is believed he was inside the apartment that was raided this morning. as mentioned we don't know if he was killed arrested or remains at large. abaaoud is a belgian citizen and until this morning it was believed actually that he was in syria, that he had escaped to syria after those attacks. this intense military effort, it is in a suburb of france and has left at least two people dead, five people injured and several people -- several officers we understand

injured as well. this is a very fluid situation. again these numbers are likely to change throughout the morning so we're going to be giving you updates as they come in and keep you on top of this situation so stay with 6abc to get the latest on the raid outside -- just outside of paris. back to you guys. >> thank you for those latest details. federal officials say security concerns force two air france flights bound for paris to divert to different airports in north america. this is some new video from the airport in salt lake city utah overnight where one of the planes a flight from lax landed safely. bomb threats were called in hannon mussily last night. the other flight from dulles was diverted to halifax canada. it also landed safely. >> a tip to police in south jersey helped authorities in texas catch a man accused of threatening to shoot up a mosque. 26-year-old clayton cancelor is charged with taking

terroristic threats. someone told the gloucester township police they saw the threat on facebook. they contacted the fort ben sheriff's countsheriff's office. >> enhanced security measures will be in place for sunday's marathon. mayor michael nutter says he's spoke to security officials and there's no threat to the city. runners say life must move on. they look forward to putting their times to the test. >> it's a sense in the running community of resilience. it's an endurance sport and it's one that does promote resilience and really embraces resilience. >> we can't be afraid and we have to keep, you know, living our lives and reaching towards our goals. >> all runners and attendees who enter the secure zone around the start and finish lines on the ben franklin parkway will be screened and belongings stout a search. our coverage of the investigation and the aftermath of the paris attacks continues on

right now you can view current photos and tributes from around the world. >> we have more breaking news. a woman is thanking her nephew from rescuing her from a fast moving fire from overbrook section. katherine scott is live on the scene on west columbia avenue. katherine. >> reporter: matt, this fire moved very quickly. there was a woman asleep inside at the time. she was not injured in all of this. however, she says the home that has been in her family since the 60's is in ruins and you can see firefighters remain on the scene here blasting water at this home in overbrook. this happened around 1:30 this morning on the 6100 block of west columbia avenue. heavy flames were pouring out of the first and second floors. witnesses tell us that the fire started in the back of the home and then the flames just quickly spread throughout. the roof eventually collapsed and we were speaking to one

man who said he happened to be walking by when he saw the fire in his aunts home. he kicked in a window to help her get out safely is. his aunt tiffany booker says she believes this start fred a outside grille. she said when she left it last night that grille was secure. >> there was a grille cooking in the yard. the grille was closed, locked, covered, you know, and i wake up and all i hear is the glass breaking and it's the glass in the kitchen. when i do come outside the grille is on the ground. >> reporter: and she says that grille didn't get on the ground by itself. she's suspicious how this fire began. and as you take a look here you can see that again firefighters are still on the scene. they're wetting down some hot spots. the fire marshal is on the scene as well investigating the cause of this early morning blaze. we are live in overbrook, katherine scott, channel6 "action news." matt. >> thank you, katherine. also flew a driver was killed after losing control and landing an suv in the woods in south jersey. it happened along the atlantic city expressway in hamilton

township at midnight. new jersey state police closed the westbound lanes while emergency crews were on the scene. the cause of the crash is us under investigation. >> happening today the philadelphia school district will hold a parent meeting to address concerns about recent violence at george washington high school. this is video taken last thursday of a violent outburst at the school in the city's somerton section. students say there are fights nearly every day and some of them don't feel safe. parents say the fights have actually been a problem for years. last year a school police officer died of a heart attack after breaking up app fight. >> "action news" obtained surveillance pictures of two men who police say vandalized a delaware church. the pictures show the men outside the saint matthew's church along east newport pike in wilmington. the pair used a ladder to get onto the roof and drop down inside through a skylight. the vandals did $10,000 worth of damage. if you recognize either man call delaware crime stoppers

>> ♪ >> 4:43. it is midweek. taking a live look outside our sky6 window at center city philadelphia and it looks like we're going to squeeze in a couple more commutes that are dry. >> but us a promised yesterday by the afternoon you could feel a little bit more of a chill. >> yeah, well, it's going to be coolish today. big story with the rain i think is tomorrow and might even arrive before the end of the morning rush hour. let's start with storm tracker6 live double scan right now and we he do have dry conditions out there this morning. as we take a look outside, we are looking at sky6 at the

airport. little bit on the chilly side this morning once again. and little milder later this afternoon but of course we are in the process of getting ready for that thickening cloud cover today and that rain tomorrow. 41 degrees is your temperature right now in philadelphia. little cool. and winds out of the northeast at 6 miles per hour. not all that strong right now. future tracker6 showing you that while we might see some early sunshine after the sun comes up later, you advance this up to 10, 11 and 12 o'clock today and the clouds really do thicken up. the model wants to put a slight chance of a spring sprinkle in this evening. i think the better chance is later in the evening hours but obviously the clouds are pretty much an issue for most of the region today. going to be a tad milder this afternoon. 45 degrees by 8 o'clock. 57 by 11 o'clock. and then 62 degrees by 2 o'clock with an afternoon high of 63 around 3 o'clock. we'll still be holding onto 60 by 5 o'clock and the overnight lows actually are only going to hold close to 60 degrees

probably getting down to the mid and upper visits across the region as a whole. lots of clouds today after a little bit of early sunshine, a bit milder with a high of 58 in allentown. getting up to 59 in reading, 62 trenton, 64 wilmington, 63 again in philadelphia and 65 in millville and a little cooler down the shore but not bad, low 60's, lots of clouds building. and then overnight and into tomorrow morning we are looking out to the west and waiting for some rain to arrive. by 6 o'clock while we're on the air, some of the western suburbs may already be picking this up and then during the morning rush hour up until 9 o'clock it looks like the rain does want to push in closer to philadelphia and become steady at times in the western suburbs and then the rest of the day we look at periods of steady rain. sometimes it may not be raining all that much but the day as a whole really looks like it's going to be damp. this is 2:30 about the time the kids coming home from school and then we move up into the evening rush hour and it's possible that by 6 o'clock the heaviest rain is over to the east but it will still be a slow commute with damp conditions out there and the last of the raindrops

probably not getting out of here until much later in the evening tomorrow. how much rain were we expecting? a half inch to an inch in most neighborhoods. a couple spots might go higher than that but it is going to be a fairly good rain tomorrow and as you just saw lasting through most of the day. your exclusive accuweather 7-day, lots of clouds today, 63 is the high. later in the afternoon and the this evening a couple of spotty sprinkles and showers are possible but the bulk of the rain holding off until thursday morning as you just saw and then continuing in through the majority of the day. tomorrow will be mild with a high of 69. and then the rain is gone for friday its breezy and cooler with a high of 58 and even chillier for the weekend. clouds mixing with sun on saturday a high of 54 degrees. only 49 on sunday and we'll be starting out in the morning in the 30's so if you're headed down to the philadelphia marathon you want to bundle up especially if you're going to be volunteering. once the runners get going they like that colder air. if you're standing around do you know there dress warmly and bundle up for the eagles. we stay in the 40's on monday and then back into the low 50's on tuesday.

>> all right, thank you david. well, this is new on "action news." a blizzard hit elizabeth colorado particularly hard this week but the fire department is fighting back with a blizzard busting tool of its only a decommissioned snow kat was given to the department for free thanks to a military to law enforcement gifting pro. the snow kat allows medics and fire crews to get to areas that haven't been plowed. we have a new people magazine sexiest man alive. this year's honoree was revealed on jimmy kimmel live last night. >> are you david beckham? >> yes, i am. [cheers and applause] >> i can agree with this choice. kimmel played a question and answer game with the audience before announcing beckham. some of the hints were a former athlete not an actor but has a few tattoos. he has four children with wife victoria. eats supported charities like unicef for years as a goodwill ambassador.

>> the studio says they agree. particularly all the females here. time for your first look at business, talking about uber. it could face a $50 million fine for operating in pennsylvania without proper approval. two judges are recommending the fine which must be approved by the public utility commission. an uber spokesperson says the company is disappointed and hopes to reach a reasonable resolution. philadelphia's largest airline is changing how it calculates frequent flier miles. starting next year american airlines which used to be u.s. airways will award points based on ticket prices instead of miles traveled. that will benefit those who buy last minute flights which are typically more expense tiff. american is the last major carrier to adopt this change. the major stock indices entered tuesday mixed and futures are pointing to a slightly lower open. aaa predicts 46 million americans will travel for the thanksgiving holiday it will be the highest number since 2007. the service organization says 90 percent of the travelers will drive.

>> watch as a 64-year-old grandmother faces off a suspected carjacker in missouri. the woman was at a gas station near saint louis on sunday night when a man walked up to her car. he told her to get out demanded her keys and said he had a gun. >> i said really? i said go away and leave me alone and i was going try to shut the door and that's when i realized i couldn't get the door shut. and so i started kicking and screaming and beeping the horn. that's when he yanked on my clothes and ripped them and pulled me out and threw me to the ground. >> the grandmother suffered scrapes and bruises to her hip arm and head. police used the car's on star system to track it to north saint louis where they also
