right now if you can. highway northbound between route 40 and 272 we have speeds at 50 miles per hour. construction blocks the right lane until 6:00 a.m. we've been seeing big delays with this and i would expect that this morning, tam. >> now to the latest attacks in paris, the fate of the suspected ring leader of the attacks is unclear after the intense raid in the paris suburb. that raid netted 8 arrests and left two people dead. the identities of the dead are being determined. police believe that these they targeted yesterday was ready to launch new attacks. >> house respects on capitol hill will vote on tougher screenings for syrian and iraqi refugees who enter the u.s. the attacks have brought up opposition to the resettlement of syrians.
paul ryan wants stricter settlement. ryan wants the u.s. to pause for now. >> we think the prudent and responsible think is to take a pause in the refugee program in order to verify that terrorists are not trying to infiltrate the refugee population. >> president obama said the u.s. has the toughest standards for checking refugees and veto any refugee bill. >> "good morning america" will have more on the terrorists attacks and the response across the world. >> happening today, airport workers will walk the picket line in just a few hours at philadelphia international. they walked off the job here and at airports around the county. let's go live to katherine scott with the details. >> reporter: that's right, tam, the airport workers walked off the job last night.
today thousands will be on strike here at philadelphia international, the protesters will be joined by mayor-elect jim kenny, several city council members will be here as they continue their fight. subcontractors walked off the job last night part of strikes being launched across the country. baggage handlers, cabin clearance and other passenger serb e serve vis workers -- service workers employed by three airline contractors. they will protest their pay in what they say is unfair labor practices, while airplanes are reaping record profits they are struggling to survive on low wages and little or no healthcare coverage. some were promised more. >> my co-workers and i work
hard we help to make this airport run and we deserve to be treated better. >> reporter: it is unclear what the impact will be at the airport today. but the airport said they will be working with the airline to insure smooth operations for passengers. we're live at the airport. katherine scott channel 6 "action news." >> thank you, katherine. new from the overnight fire damaged apple bees in the overbrook park section. everyone was able to get out of the building safely. fire crews got the flames under control in 15 minutes. l&i was called in to inspect the buildings. residents in kansas are digging out from ten inches of snow. national guard teams were out all day searching for stranded

struggles. our french partners. a mild start in advance of the rain coming in. 58 in philadelphia, 58 in allentown. future tracker 6 showing you the next change, now it's a spotty sprinkle herary there, between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m., the western half of the region has the threat of some rain. it's not the steadiest rain we'll see today. but it's enough to get things damp and slow you down. as we go between 9 and 12:00 there are bits and pieces of heavier precipitation coming in. there may be areas where but get a lull, but it will be windy and damp all day. we might have thunder in south jersey and delaware, in particular. the evening commute is on the wet side. it looks like it will get out of here fairly quickly. by 11:00, most of it will be off

florida mother is livid and looking for answer after a fight broke out between her son and the teacher. the fight started when he made a smart remark to the high school teacher. the teacher said he put his hands on him first. officials are investigating. a maryland college will shut down through the thanksgiving holiday while authorities search for a missing stiewrnt from the area who could be -- student from the area who could be armed. he came back home and left with a firearm. he is wanted for bringing a gun to his fraternity last month. he is a former cheltenham high school student. authorities may have recovered the weapon used in the murder of an indiana wife of a
