in delaware county put several schools on lockdown and donald trump offers an olive branch to the republican party after admitting his words can be decisive. >> looking live from sky 6 hd, showing you a dreary philadelphia international airport it is cloudy with periods of rain today before cooler air moves in just in time for the weekend. david murphy is keeping a close eye on double scan live radar with a first look at the soggy forecast. >> we started out most of the rush hour dry in most parts of the area but as expected the rain moved in and now it is wet out there. you see all the rain highlighted in yellow through trenton and philadelphia and a bit more of the yellow in south jersey and a bit out toward reading, the yellow is lighter precipitation

and green is fairly wet and wet roads across the region and on the other side of baltimore a little bit of drying, but that takes some time to get here, i expect raining for the majority of afternoon and steady enough to pile things up on the roadways, stormtracker 6 live double scan we are waiting for a frontal boupdry to get on through and a wave of low pressure along the front and we'll quickly dry out in the evening hours and cooler air from the west coming in in the exclusive accuweather forecast for the weekend. temperatures right now, not that you want to be outside with all of that wet stuff, but if you have to go outside it's cool, winds are not that strong but 54 in philadelphia and 51 in reading and 52 in trenton and wilmington and milder south of the region and you may wind up with a couple of extra degrees in south jersey and delaware. today's high is 59 degrees, well above the average of 44 but of

course with the raving it's not exactly a great day, when we come back we'll track the end of the rain and have more on the big chill down coming for the weekend. >> thank you david. we are following breaking news now from wayne, delaware county, that is where a police officer on a motorcycle was injured in an accident that happened just about an hour ago. this happened on the 300 block of lancaster avenue, it's unclear if the officer was on or off duty and his condition is not known as this time. we are following more developing news in delaware county, several schools were locked down as police investigating reports of an armed robbery in radnor, police were called to the 100 block of pine tree road at 10:00 this morning, right now they are going door-to-door asking residents if they have seen anything. cabrini college and arch bish

high school are all on lockdown and have since been lifted. and now arson investigators are looking into a fire at the new jerusalem baptist church for the second fire in two weeks, on the corner of pine street and vandmere avenue. katherine scott is live on the scene with the very latest. >> reporter: i spoke with fire officials and they say that the fire investigation is well underway and they have to bring in heavy equipment to clear away the debris so they can continue to search for a cause and it's too early to know if the devastating fire is suspicious. the roof charred and collapsed and the bricks carefully laid by hand in the 60s tumble into the nearby streets, the second fire in the matter of weeks destroyed the jerusalem church

investigators are back at the scene in wilmington today, long time church pastor dean brock got a call last night. >> someone called me and said the church is on fire. i said are you joking two weeks ago we had a fire. they said no it's on fire now. >> the fire broke out before 7:00 last evening and firefighters were met with heavy flames that ripped through the church and the last fire was mainly in the basement and the church had already made strides to rebuild. fire officials say it's too early to know if this fire is suspicious. many here are not rushing to judgment either and are confident in the recovery of this church. >> it's just a building, it burnt down the building, or whatever happened with the building, you see the cross is still standing, that is still in

testified for him. and kenny gamble is expected to testify during today's hearing. in baltimore protesters stayed peaceful overnight hours after a jury failed to reach a disin the case of the first police officer charged in the case of freddie gray and that officer's trial is back to square one. lauren lister has more. >> reporter: a jury up able to reach a decision in the officer's role in freddie gray's death, a handful of arrests and authorities clearing the streets but overnight the protesters were peaceful, nothing like the widespread mayhem that erupted when his death was first announced. along with gray's family expressing faith in the system

that did not find a verdict in the first officer on trial for gray's death. >> there will be another trial with a different jury. >> freddie gray die sd of a spinal injury while in police custody, porter faced four charges including involuntarily manslaughter, with prosecutors claiming he could have put a seatbelt on gray or called a medic when the victim asked for one when he asked for one several times on the way to jail. >> the juries tried for three days. >> my reaction is how? with all the evidence how? >> police are on trial, we are talking about what the police did, they shot someone and were they justified or not. >> porter denied guilt in gray's death and it's unclear if the state will pursue a retrial. a little rain couldn't keep

a nebraska state trooper's act of heroism was caught on camera, police spotted an out of control trick or treat barrelling down the roadway, they later discovered the driver was diabetic and his sugar levels crashed and he jumped on the moving truck to help the driver come to a stop. they are both expected to be okay. federal officials are on the hot seat on capitol hill they are facing questions on the house oversight committee on the safe guards to keep would be extremists out of the u.s. and it comes two weeks after the deadly terror attack in san bernardino, california, the two people were killed and one came into the u.s. on a fiance visa after passing background checks

u.s. markets are in the led this noon, less than 4 hours after the federal hours reserve announced they are hiking interest rate a quarter percent and enthusiasm is being to fade, looking at the big board. stocks down 114 points, fluctuating quite a bit now to 17,635 and change.

meteorologist david murphy is here now with details on the rainy forecast. >> it's rainy out there like accuweather said and look at stormtracker 6 live double scan you can see yellow on the map along with the green and as we take a look at philadelphia up close now, you can see a lot of that yellow moving through philadelphia media and chadds ford and jenkins town and as we go in tight to the city itself, if you are driving around on the blue route or the expressway.

up and down the new jersey turnpike you get decent showers here and they are off and on steady to heavy probably through the majority of the afternoon, there is wilmington delaware and it looks like you are about to get more of this. we go out wider and start this up, we are looking at a movement of this rain from the south to the north-northeast. and bear, delaware, another spot, i leave you with the wider view and allentown getting intense rain and it's expected up there from the shore to philadelphia, probably winding up with a little less in the northern and western suburbs, we have cloudy skies out there and rain as we take a look live at sky 6 hd in wilmington delaware, some of it coming down steadily, 54 is your current temperature and winds are light today east-northeast at 5 miles per hour, not a wind driven rain but

wet nonetheless. 53 in wilmington and milder as you head down to south jersey and closer to the shore. future tracker 6 shows you that between now up until 3:00 it will be pretty wet with downpours and later in the afternoon, 5:00, 6:00, there is a chance that will die down. how much are we expecting? over an inch on some models and the low estimates are down to .75, not a flooding rain but some backed up storm drains and that sort of things. up in the lee lie sally, cloudy skies and periods of rain and down the shore a wet afternoon with dry potentially by dinner time and 60 is the high and in philadelphia a high of 59 degrees and cloudy skies and periods of rain and winds from the southeast at 6 to 12 miles per hour cloudy skies and a
