a pleasant good morning to you, it is 6:00 a.m. on this saturday january 30. here's some of the stories we're following on "action news." a family's search for justice, relatives are speaking out after an innocent man is shot and killed during a robbery in juniata park. new details on a racoon attack in north jersey that sent a 6-year-old boy to the hospital. fasten your seat belts, te philadelphia auto show starts today. we have a sneak peek inside.

so glad you're waking up with us, chris sowers joins us with the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast i'm so happy with you this morning. >> reporter: you like that 60. yes. >> reporter: we have a ton of warm weather in the seven-day forecast, a touch of spring as temperatures climb all the way up into the 60s by wednesday. today will be cooler with highs around 40. as we get into the second half of the weekend from that point on you'll notice the change. 17 in philadelphia with the wind. 189 in trenton and feels like 12 in the poconos and 14 in wilmington. the good news all the cloud cover stays up to the north. snow showers, rain showers that passes us by. we'll see mostly sunny skies from start to finish, just a couple of clouds from time to time that's about it. the day planner looks like, 8:00 a.m., 25, 10:00 a.m., 30 degrees, you can see how the numbers steadily climb closing in on 40.

clouds mixing in the breezes subside as the day wears on. touch of spring in the seven-day forecast him we'll have near record warmth temperatures by wednesday. we have an update on breaking news from collingdale, delaware county, this is an "action news" exclusive, a two hour standoff between police and a man who was holding his 3-year-old son has ended peacefully. the man was a history of substance abuse, he got into an argument with the mother of his children that spiraled out of control. the woman got out of the house with two kids. she called police her 3-year-old was still inside the home. police ended the two hour stand job offer by going inside. the police say the man is facing a number number of charges finda number of guns inside the home.

police are searching for suspects after someone shot 20-year-old man. donald green was leaving a grocery store wednesday night when he was randomly gunned down. jeff chirico spoke with his grief stricken family members. they took the light out of our family when they took donald. >> reporter: green's aunt spoke to "action news" on behalf of his mother. he was the familyokester. >> reporter: he was robbed outside the store two blocks from the home he shares with his parents. he was shot at pointblank range. messages cover the store's brick wall remembering the man, family and friends called ducky.

he didn't bother anybody, it's just sad. >> reporter: "action news" featured green's family during happier times during 2012 as his navy reservist father named donald returned from average. the reunited family torn apart, as the family searches for the killers,s aunt pleads for justice. turn yourself in, just report it. we can give donald a proper goodbye. there are surveillance cameras near the scene, but it's unclear if police recovered any image also of the suspects, a 20,000-dollar reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction. at police headquarters, jeff chirico channel 6 "action news." happening today, firefighters in berks county will return to the scene of a fire that seriously injured a 70-year-old man. this all started yesterday at a home in tuckerton road

muhlenberg township. the man had burns to his hands neck and face, medics flew him to the hospital. no word on what caused the fire. test have confirmed that a racoon that attacked a 6-year-old north jersey boy had rabies. the animal jumped on the boy wednesday morning as he was walking to school. the bystander got it off that child and beat it to death. the 6-year-old has been released from the hospital and expected to make a full recovery. police officers in delaware county will be the first in the world to carry a new form of the heroin antidote known as narcan it is a nasal spray that makes it easier to administer. delaware county leaders say officers have saved more than

guard is back on the job after being suspended. the chief of the police said her two days suspensions would be dismissed if there were no more infractions. she was recommend mannedded for breaking -- reprimanded for breaking the chain of command for texting the mayor. they said they have specific procedures in place for a proper emergency response.

air bags may explode. volkswagen passed auto sales last year amid the rigging scandal. white house believes the president's plan would give 30 million additional americans access to a retirement account. his ideas includes tax credits for small businesses that enroll workers in retirement plans, all those proposals will be outlined when the president submits the 2017 budget that will happen next month. jp morgan chase will be able to use their smart phone at their atms. customers will be able to withdraw money using a one time pin number sent to smart phones. they will get cash by tapping their phones right at the atm.

"action news," breaking police and s.w.a.t teams respond to a standoff in delaware county involving a man and his young child. we have exclusive video for you. philadelphia police are searching for a suspect who shot a man in the back. voters in iowa are preparing for the caucuses in the hawkeye state. meteorologist chris sowers back with the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast. chris, two thumbs up for you. >> reporter: mother nature continues to lend a helping handle a lot of snow is meting especially across south jersey where places like atlantic city picked up a foot of snow there's nothing on the ground at all. i know where i live we had 14 or 15 inches now we have one or two. temperatures have helped out

and twitter and behind behind-the-scenes look at the coverage at a 3-year-old boy is safe and sound this morning after being caught in the middle of a standoff between his father and authorities. only "action news" was there as this all happened. it started at 1:15 a.m. on the 1100 block of montgomery avenue in collingdale. aa mantua history of substance abuse got into a dispute with the mother of his children, the mother left the house, called police, the 3-year-old was inside. the female did tell officers the man had guns in the house and rifles and handguns and she was very concerned. officers and s.w.a.t teams responded they tried contacting the man with no success. after two hours they made their way inside and took the man into custody without incident. fortunately that little boy was not hurt.

authorities recovered several guns from inside the home. the man this morning is facing a long list of charges. this morning a man is in critical condition after he was shot at the scene of an accident. chopper 6 was over old york and tabor road in logan section last night. police responded to a crash and found an overturned car and two others hit. they found a 30-year-old man with a gunshot injury to his back. so far no arrests have been made and no word about a motive. philadelphia police took five students into custody after reports of shots fired inside ben franklin high school this happened yesterday. the action cam was outside the spring garden school always police took away students in handcuffs. officers found a spent shell casing of a 45 caliber handgun on a school stairwell.

students say they can't understand how anyone could get inside the store. every door, how do they get it in they suspended me for five days for a lighter when was this big. a student shared this piece of video with "action news" of a fight in the school claiming it was taken yesterday before the shot was fired. the school was placed on lockdown until police finish the investigation. 6:36 a murder mystery remains unsolved in new castle, delaware county. investigators say 352-year-old 352-year-old -- 52-year-old gregory parker is a person of interest in the case, a man was found dead inside his home in new castle. a motive has not been released his brother is baffled. i never seen him out here, i never seen him with this guy or whoever it is they are

looking for. police tell us they believe sparker and spens new each other. trish hartman has more on the case in the next half-hour. chopper 6 hd was over a fire that ripped through a house in trenton, new jersey. this happened last night. the fire left one person injured. it all started at 8:00 p.m. in the three story home on hamilton avenue near south clinton avenue. it took crews almost a half-hour to gain control of the fire. the injured person was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation, the injuries we are told are not considered to be life threatening. happening today, the auto show opens at the pennsylvania convention center. 700 rides will be spread out across the convention center through next sunday. the auto app let's you plan your
