we have an issue with a fire location southwest philadelphia in a junkyard. it is under control. nonetheless you have crews on the scene at passyunk avenue they are restricting traffic at 61st treat. give yourself extra time. we have an earlier accident ashbourn road in cheltenham. there's debris you might be swerving around, use caution there. this is i-95 cottman, southbound traffic heading toward center city, nice easy ride so far so good, tam. developing overnight, philadelphia police say a man is in the hospital after his own girlfriend set him up. two armed men burst into the victim's apartment in port richmond before 2:00 a.m. the pair beat the man with the baseball bat and the girl friend joined in. the trio stole several items from the police before they

fled. we'll have a live report on the suspects in the next half-hour. on to the turmoil for a number of people who thought they were making the american dream owning their home a reality. instead they are victims of a local real estate scam. anne is live at the suspects' office in old city. >> reporter: good morning, tam, authorities say to appear legitimate, the two used commercial spaces like one in old city to run their business, but to keep up to the ruse they had to move often. authorities believe they stole more than $130,000 from their clients. camden county prosecutor's office revealed two dozen alleged victims were duped by lisa smith and her son. both would advertise properties on craig list or by word of mouth. they made the process look legit

"action news." a trailer burst into flames in chester county last night damaging a nearby restaurant. the customer's rv was at the cracker barrel in downingtown. fire officials are trying to figure out what the fire started. the cracker barrel is expected to open on time at 6:00 a.m. surveillance video from the whole foods in jenkintown has police searching for a group of thieves. it shows a man snatching a wallet from an unattended shopping card. a second man acts as a shield while she bags bagels. the victim said it's not the fraudulent charges that hurt the most, it's her father's stolen dog tags. just to turn your back for one second, one split second and

the president is staying away because his security detail would be disruptive. donald trump is toning down his reaction to the criticism by pope francis. he believes the pope's remarks were nicer than first reported which was that pope francis said anyone who wants to build walls and not bridges is not christian. i think he probably heard one side of story which was by the mexican government. he doesn't see the strain that's on this country with the illegal immigration. for now, trump said he has great respect for the pope, but noted that the vatican is surrounded by walls. south carolina holds their first primary tomorrow. hillary questioned bernie

sanders' devotion to the party at a town hall last night. maybe senator sanders wasn't a democrat until he decided to run to president. he doesn't know what the last two democratic presidents did. if anyone things that the anyone in the senate or house has to agree with someone in their own party who is president all of the time that's not my understanding of the democracy. the televised events talked about privacy. penn state starts thon weekend. the largest student run philanthropy in the world. they raced millions of dollars for childhood cancer. it's amazing to see. if they want to take some breaks
