biden. he is taller. >> reporter: we have a winter weather advisory that kicks in at 10:00. it doesn't expire until 1:00 p.m. friday afternoon. we're up past philadelphia and lower bucks and montgomery county and points south we have the possibility of slick roads developing because of light snow coming in. those of you farther to the north will see some of this, but not as much. satellite we are off to a sunny start, it's going to be cold, 28 degrees in philadelphia currently and 23 degrees as you step out the door in reading and allentown. at that in trenton. 26 in wilmington, 27 in wildwood. not a lot of wind out there, but enough to give you windchills in the teens in some areas and out in reading. feels like 12 degrees this morning. bundle up a bit. heading out to the driveway or bus stop, clear and cold and
brisk. temperatures in the upper 20s. 31 degrees, below freezing by 10:00 a.m. high of 39 degrees at 3:00 p.m. wind not a strong, but the clouds increase as we go later into the day. we get light snow arriving later tonight. i'll have the arrival and depart of that on future tracker 6. >> reporter: the roads are dry heading out, not too bad, a couple of early morning accidents that cleared. that's northbound traffic moving at creek road no problems on 42. all the area bridges showing nice conditions, tonight and tomorrow morning may be a different story with light snow coming out in spots. for now it's a good commute, so get out and enjoy it. i-95 at street road we had of a an accident at commodor barry bridge that has cleared. we have an accident not far off from that location, street road eastbound blocking the eastbound
lanes between reading road and old lincoln highway. stick to bristol road to avoid that problem. we're talking about the big accident in the lehigh valley county shut down between route 1, everything is moving fine. we are learning more about the fiery crash that left five people dead in the lehigh valley. police say a car collided with a tractor-trailer route 222 in upper macungiey township. katherine scott is live in the satellite center. >> reporter: the matt opened up after an extensive accident investigation. police do not know who caused the subaru to travel over the median and hit the tractor-trailer. five people died in the crash. but the driver of the tractor-trailer walked away. this cell phone video shows the devastating crash on 222.
thick flames and black smoke after a car and tractor-trailer collided shortly after 4:00 p.m. there was a tractor-trailer 222, a vehicle traveling north was traveling north and crossed over the center median over the grass an caused a head-on collision with the tractor-trailer. >> reporter: it happened at the route 100 split. two people inside the super riew were thrown from the vehicle. all five inside the car were pronounced dead at the scene. the driver of the tractor-trailer of allentown suffered minor injuries. we'll reconstruct the crash and bring in all available resources. 13-year-old daniel stout saw the scene unfold outside his window. i saw a line of fire and i saw the truck engulfed in flames on its side. i couldn't see the scene.
>> reporter: the road was closed for more than 9 hours for the accident investigation. you don't know who lost their live, very sad. >> reporter: an autopsy is being conducted today. forensic testing is necessary to positively identify the victims. katherine scott channel 6 "action news." thanks, katherine. we have obtained sure remainance video of two men who were shot this queen a 65-year-old man and his wife were walking home from their south street business, they approached the couple, he has a license to carry the weapon. it is case of self-defense and considering charging the wounded men. from our new jersey newsroom, a gloucester county woman want police to track down the person who stole more than material possessions during a robbery. someone broke into her home
along bridgeton pike, they targeted her son's room taking his wallet and apple iphone which containedmental items. he died in january from brain cancer. she is pleading for everyone to return her son's items. technology detects the sound of gunfire and pinpoints the location to get to the crime scene faster. the number of shootings in atlantic city dropped 35% from
2014 to 2015. judge convicted christopher wheeler on 25 counts and sentenced him to 25 years in prison. the supreme court search warrants were unconstitutionally broad. the state department of justice had no comment on the ruling. happening today, mayor jim kenny will present the first budget of his administration to city council. the 4 billion-dollar spending plan will call for $1.1 million to equip 800 police officers with body cameras. kenny asked city council to have the city fund half of the cost and look to fund the rest through grants and donations. you hear the word snow it's not the amount it's the timing. >> reporter: one thing we have going for us, it's getting kind of late in the year, sun angle

clouds, windchills in the 30s. later this afternoon, sun to clouds and chilly in philadelphia. going for a high of 39 degrees, winds light at 6 to 12 miles per hour. you'll feel around the freezing mark maybe better than that at times. overnight tonight, 31 is the low, snow arrives later tonight, the wind picking up as well. future tracker 6 at the end of the rush hour tonight, no problems, just more clouds. we see at 1:00 p.m., the possibility of pop up snow showers. as we get past midnight it will be more intense and 4:30 we'll have storm tracker 6 live on double scan, it will be light, by 9:00 a.m., you're looking at snow wrapping out of the northern and western suburbs at that point. by noon it will wrap off the coast and it should end by the shore quickly in the afternoon hours.
by then it will be so far above freezing it won't be sticking anywhere. how much are we expecting one to 3-inch. in general accuweather feels there's a chance of 1 to 2 inches from the poconos into wilmington. if you're in the southern two-thirds of delaware and extreme south jersey, you could go over two inches. i don't think anyone will get over 3 inches. 6:00 p.m., most of us outside of the shore will be close to or above freezing. by 9:00. most of us are above freezing you can see how we're above freezing later on. we should see quick melting of the snow after we get past sunrise. sun to clouds, 48 degrees, light snow tomorrow, 39. 45 on saturday, 48 on sunday, morning rain or snow shower on sunday, no biggy. turning milder on monday, in the 50s, 68 tuesday, 72 on wednesday. cha-ching!
