an officer witnessed a shooting in southwest philadelphia. the officer gave chase, but the suspect's car slammed into several parked cars near the intersection of 64th and grays avenue. police are looking for two people who ran from the scene. we know one person is in custody. the shooting victim is in critical condition. the search for answers continues after a carbon monoxide leak in delaware. four people and a dog died inside the apartment. jeff chirico spoke to one of the victim's relatives. the boiler room is the have center of the investigation after correspond boy -- carbon monoxide leak. my mother called.

>> reporter: dunphy said chief of police found the bodies of his brother and girlfriend and another friend and their dog. >> reporter: new castle county police say emergency crews found high leaves inside buildings f and g. residents were taken to the hospital including three children. it is clear this is carbon monoxide poisoning. at this point we have to determine it is environmental factor. >> reporter: the red cross is helping displaced residents find places to stay until it's safe to return to the buildings. dunphy is grieving. what do you want people to know about your brother? he is a good guy. police are not releasing the name of the victim until their families are notified. in wilmington, jeff chirico channel 6 "action news."

this morning, philadelphia police are investigating an accident that killed a postal worker. that worker was hit and killed on lindbergh boulevard near 74th street in southwest philadelphia last night. the victim's name has not been released. police say the car involved did stop. right now police are investigating another pedestrian accident this one involved a motorcycle. chopper 6 hd was over the scene around 8:00 p.m. near the boulevard and ryan avenue in northeast philadelphia. the motorcycle hit a 50-year-old man was he tried to cross the northbound inner lanes. that man was taken to the hospital in critical condition. as the presidential election teed up across the county another set of caucuses will be held today. in alaska, hawaii and washington state. 142 delegates are up for grabs. hillary clinton has a lead over
