today. here's the rain, light and spotty in philadelphia. you can see the heavier showers pushing through the south through places like lang -- lancaster and before we are finished with the rush hour we expect steadier rain to come through. the other issue comes after the rain ends this afternoon. we have a wind advisory that kicks in at 2:00 p.m. and doesn't end until midnight. during that time we could have gusts 30 to 50 miles per hour. something keep in mind as you drive around later today. there's the rain again sweeping in from the south and west, obviously it will be with us for a while with clearing later today. 47 degrees in philadelphia. so a bit of a cool start. 33 in reading an lancaster. 44 in trenton. 49 in millville. 50 in cape may. heading out the door this morning look for showers and cloudy skies otherwise and temperatures holding at 47 between 6:00 p.m. -- 6:00 a.m.
and 8:00 a.m. the rain will die down as we head toward midday. 11:00 a.m., 53 degrees, showers, 1:00 p.m., 58 degrees, 3:00 p.m., 64 we'll see a high of 66 around 4:00 p.m. before dipping to 60 by 6:00 p.m. this afternoon look out for the strong winds. gets cooler tomorrow before we start to warm up again, karen i'll have the details on that coming up. you have an issue on the roads. >> reporter: roads are wet we have an nasty accident on the boulevard southbound at fox street we can see one vehicle facing the wrong way. one up an embankment. fire crews ambulance police blocking the right lane. boulevard southbound you can see it near fox street accident blocking the right lane. watch for that roads are wet take it easy out there. look live at i-95 southbound at cottman. you see light volume heading toward center city. we see light volume we could
have issues when we have the wet roads we're dealing with watch for that this morning. let's switch over to the vine street expressway it is wet on the vine no other problems or construction, no traffic, all lanes back open right here. we have north broad street jfk boulevard and spring garden you want to watch for construction that's causing problem until 5:00 a.m. a man fired shots into his girl friend's family north philadelphia home. a bullets went into a window and into the bedroom at 1:30 north 16th street. the girl friend does not live there, but 8 families do, including small children. the man barricaded himself into another home and surrendered an hour later. a young delaware county is telling how her uncle saved her
from a knife-wielding robber. he has the scars to approve it and the suspect is talking. annie mccormick is live outside upper darby police headquarters with the story. >> reporter: a brave 17-year-old girl and brave family. the victim was at the front door looking for her keys when she was grabbed from behind. her father opened the door and realized something was wrong and her uncle jumped in to help. ashley -- ashley lamy was robbed at knifepoint by sultan akbar-abdullah in front of her upper darby home. my dad opened the door.
>> reporter: lamy's uncle did not want to show his face on camera, but his injuries up close. he tackle sultan akbar-abdullah after chasing him to the nearby alley where he waited to police. the suspect confessed to police he committed three recent armed robberies authorities are considering him a suspect at least two others, lamby is grateful for her uncle's quick reaction. he risked his life for me, i didn't think there was a time he would have to do that. >> reporter: and the suspect has a long rap sheet we are told he is in jail on $100,000 bail. reporting live in upper darby, channel 6 "action news." the chester upland school district is looking at the damage that vandals did.
they targeted four buses parked next chester high school. the students are off today they return from their easter break tomorrow. we have another case of vandalism in berks county someone smashed the windows of 14 cars along the # hundred block of north 12th street in reading. police are choking into whether anything was stolen from the vehicles. police are looking for anyone with information to give them a call. a suicide bombing at a children's park in pakistan. this attack coming on easter. four americans are confirmed dead in the attacks in brussels. the tension there is very strong. abc lana zack is following the terrorism concerns beginning with the attack in pakistan. >> reporter: bomber targets christians celebrating easter.
