matt. >> reporter: we're starting out cooler, but not as cold as yesterday. we can see sunshine, the clouds to the west will be part of the package today, though, we're looking at an increase in clouds today, especially tonight there could sprinkles and showers you see out west of pittsburgh. 54 degrees in philadelphia. still in the 40s in trenton and allentown, but again, better than yesterday. 54 in millville. 51 in cape may. for now the winds are not that strong, a couple of spots starting to pick up in the low teens. 59 degrees by 9:00 a.m. 11:65. changes today you'll see the temperatures climb and the clouds increase and it will get windier. 3:00 a.m., we'll be up to 73. it will be blustery, but very warm. 74 degrees around 3:30 p.m. or 4:00 p.m. pollen count is high today, but
tomorrow with the rain arriving it will go down. speaking of rain, we could see a gusty thunderstorm or heavy downpour. i'll show you that on future tracker 6. >> reporter: i'm sure that will be an interesting experience. for now it's dry on the schuylkill expressway and traffic is moving well close to the boulevard, westbound go the tail lights a gathering crowd. there's the exit for lincoln drive and kelly drive. if you're hopping on to lincoln drive northbound there's a broken down vehicle at rittenhouse street. you have to be swerving, something you should be aware of. it could be a dangerous situation. water main break in west philadelphia yesterday afternoon. crews are making repairs. walnut is shut down between 49th and 50th likely until 6:00 p.m. market or baltimore avenue will be better belts. on better bets for you.
main line, we have an accident shutting down bryn mawr road. we have a crash five miles north of the lehigh valley interchange, a lane is blocked. heading toward the poconos expect slowing. commodor barry bridge we're getting word of a broken down vehicle one lane is getting by coming in from south jersey, the commodor barry bridge not your best bet on this thursday morning. a gruesome discovery in a delaware county home, police found a woman beaten and strangled to death, her body dump in a running shower. annie mccormick is live in seacane with the details on the tragic story. >> reporter: good morning, tam, the friends and co-workers who work with the victim noticed she was not at work that day, they were concerned and came to the apartment complex a manager let
them in, they made the gruesome discovery and called police. here's video from yesterday when police were on the scene including the crime scene unit. the victim, a 36-year-old woman was discovered dead left naked in the shower with the water running before 5:00 p.m. yesterday. now, police say it appears she was beaten and strangled. preliminary -- preliminarily, it looks like there was no forced entry we'll leave it at that. when i say disarray, items were thrown around, tossed around, almost like it was some type of fight some physical altercation. it's very peaceful, when i am home in the evening we sit out all hours of the night. you never experience anything like this. >> reporter: neighbors reported they had not seen anything out of the ordinary, just when
police arrive, they saw them out here for several hours. they say the woman, the victim called friends just the night before. so police are working on a time line and working to figure out who is responsible. reporting live in seacane, annie mccormick channel 6 "action news." police in delaware released surveillance pictures of a burglary suspect he broke into first state orthopedics 100 south main street on saturday and stole several laptop computers. he may have a lymph or -- limp or favoring his left leg -- right leg. new castle county authorities took everyone out of the wilmington apartment complex where four people were killed by carbon monoxide poisoning. residents move back in over the weekend, but code enforcement
officers deemed buildings g and f as unsafe. a transit rider saved a man's life during a desperate time of need on a septa train platform. 56-year-old calvin wilson said he was on at the vine street subway when she noticed a woman trying to stop her husband from jumping off the platform. the navy war veteran ran to help and keeping the man on the platform until the police arrived. i guess it was not his time to go, i was the angel, i flapped my wings and went over and saved him. the man was taken to the hospital for observation. flying in and out of philadelphia and some of the nation's other large airports may not be such smooth going. baggage handlers will be back on strike. the workers are subcontractors who walked off the job last

dawn, we expect early sunshine probably need shades on on the highways and byways. we're looking out for rain, but nothing more than spotty shower tonight, the more significant rain is tomorrow. up in the lehigh valley, sun and clouds, it will get increasingly winds as the day goes on. we'll see gusts up to 30 miles per hour at times. it will be mild in the lehigh valley. high of 70 not bad, right. down the shore, the draw will be off the ocean water, the ocean temperatures running in the 40s right now. high of 62 in atlantic city. down in cape may, probably about 60. inland in philadelphia. it's going to feel nice. sun and clouds, winds again after a break in the wind yesterday. winds gusting out of the southwest 30 miles per hour. the high temperatures will be 74 degrees, we'll hit that around 4:00 p.m. it's going to feel nice. overnight tonight, it stays mild, 61 degrees is the low.

orleans as apartment complex and that's when they made the discovery and found her body. this is video from yesterday, police were here with the crime scene unit. the victim was discovered dead in the hour with the water still running before 5:00 p.m. yesterday. friends concerned she missed work came looking for her, the manager left them in. police were immediately called. the investigation is in the early stages. once inside, discovered the body of a 36-year-old black female laying naked in the tub with the shower running on top of her. the apartment is in disarray, there was some type of struggle. she is obviously dead, we're awaiting currently for a search warrant so we can continue our search. right now preliminarily it looks
like she was strangled and beaten. >> reporter: police say there were no signs of forced entry which leads them to believe that her killer may have been someone that she does know. some friends say they talked to her the night before, so police are working on the time line working to get to the bottom of it. if you have any information you are under to contact them. ann anne channel 6 "action news." thank you for that. this is an update into "action news," a shooting victim in wilmington, delaware has died. gunfire erupted on the 200 block of elm street. a 40-year-old man was shot. he died an hour later. a driver hit a 5-year-old in tioga nicetown.

just learned an early morning crash in delaware county that left a vehicle unrecognizable was a fatal one. katherine scott is live at the scene in bryn mawr with the details, katherine? >> reporter: matt, police are on the scene investigating we do know that the victim was an adult male, but police have not released his identity yet because they have not notified family members. you can see the car here is just destroyed and there is debris everywhere on the street here. this was a one car crash he was the only occupant. the car is on the front lot of an apartment complex behind the fence in bryn mawr. the crash is under investigation, but police say the car have been traveling southbound on south bryn mawr avenue before 3:30 a.m., there
are tire marks by the american college. somehow the car veered off the road through a fence and evaluated over the driveway and crashed on the lawn of the parents. a fellow driver saudi brie and thought -- saw the debris all over the road and thought there was a crash. this stretch of road will be closed for the next couple of hours as they piece together the accident. a violent crash in bryn mawr. one adult male is the victim of the crash. his name has not been released. tragic. thank you, katherine. now, let's go over to matt pellman who told us about that as it came into the traffic center. >> reporter: a sad morning in bryn mawr. chopper 6 hd live over the scene
