them to a national title tonight. good morning, 5:30, april 4. let's find out about the rain with david murphy and karen rogers is watching the stricty situation when it comes to the commute. >> reporter: northern and western suburbs are getting wet you can see it near allentown and reading a second cell is heading in your direction. everything is down to the latitude of lancaster and it's possible that philadelphia and delaware county pick up a little bit of those lighter sprinkles later this morning. generally speaking the action is farther north early on. satellite shows cloud cover to the north. and we've clearing skies in the south in places like southern delaware and the shore. the clouds will thicken up and we'll see a little bit of rain most of it holding on until later in the afternoon. 43 degrees in philadelphia. 38 in allentown. 39 in trenton. 41 in reading, 42 in wilmington, a little milder the farther south you go, that's going to be the story as we go through the day.
milder south, cooler up north. mainly dry on the bus stop. we have a chance of dipping into the upper 30s by 6:00 a.m. low 40s by 8:00 a.m. 64 degrees by 1:00 p.m. 66 is the high by 3:00 p.m. notice how we are mainly cloudy occasionally a sprinkle or shower in the morning. a better chance of showers in the afternoon or evening. we have a freeze warning overnight kids. 1:00 a.m. it kicks in. tuesday morning it ends. it's highlighted, bring the potted plants in. >> reporter: we are continue to follow mass transit. service is restored on amtrak between philadelphia and wilmington you want to expect delays, the problem he had continue the accident investigation, they will be sharing tracks one and four with amtrak and septa, track also two
and three are will not be running. service is restored, but expect 30 minute delays. no outbound service from darby station to highland station, they will be running down to newark, no outbound station to highland station, they run express to marcus hook. there are a few disruptions. we have an accident involving an overturned vehicle northbound on the boulevard all lanes blocked. this is on the outer drive stick to the inner drive. the outer drive blocked northbound on the boulevard near 9th street. one more issue, burlington bristol bridge scheduled to go up right about now as you head out. service has resumed on amtrak lines affected by the deadly derailment, it's the second one to happen in the area in less than a year.
katherine scott is live on the scene this one in trainer, delaware county. katherine. >> reporter: matt, the two people who died were amtrak employees. amtrak has not released their name or said why they were working at the track. the impact happened at chester, but the train traveled about a mile before it came to a stop in trainer. sir be advised a train hit a backhoe, multiple injuries reported. >> reporter: more than 300 passengers were on board georgia-bound amtrak train 89 sunday morning when it slammed into a backhoe on the track in chester causing the train's lead engine to derail. we hit something it was pretty, like you could see all the impact it was a big bang. rapid decellerration. it came to a stop. >> reporter: on the train ceilings cairveld -- caved in, passengers were knocked to the aisles.
dozens were rushed to the hospital. while the rest were taken to a nearby church waiting to go back to the 30th station. two amtrak employees were killed. we have recovered the data recorder and forward facing video from the locomotive. >> reporter: ntsb will look at mechanical components and hiewm hiewm -- human performance, the autopsy for the victims will be conducted today. live in trainer, katherine scott channel 6 "action news." a barricade situation in washington township ended peacefully. neighborhoods said a man inside was armed. it's unclear what triggered the standoff that lasted more than 6 hours. it's over and no injuries were reported. new jersey lawmakers will take a close are -- closer look

near 9th street. stick to the inner drive instead of the outer drive to avoid the problem on the boulevard. i talked to police in montgomery county looks like a water main break spring hill road at valley view road east norton, montgomery county. they are sending crews out there to investigate it. watch for water on the road causing problems this morning. west king road between powellton avenue. another accident in malvern, look for this. burlington bristol bridge up right now. head to the connector bridge instead. storm tracker 6 live double scan we're dry in philadelphia. you can see the showers up in the northwest, you have to go far to get mixed precipitation, we were looking at that in poconos, hazleton near i-81 and the northeast extension. allentown and easton, reading, it's rain in the area. watch for wet roads in that area. how about the temperatures we're
looking at 38 in marges creek. well above -- martins creek. 40 in saint david. 43 in center city. we're doing better in south jersey, 39 in browns mill. 40 in cinnaminson, 41 in glassboro, matt. firefighters in eastern canada stay a woman managed to get out of the car right before it plunged down a cliff. it happened at a popular historic site in new foundland. the woman jump out of the vehicle before it took a nose dive. she tumbled 150 feet down. they pulled her to safety. polls show ted cruz ahead of donald trump ahead of the wisconsin primary. trump won in new hampshire following a disappointing defeat in iowa. trump has leading in the new hampshire polls that is not the case in wisconsin.
