the wrong people. annie mccormick is live at police headquarters, she's got the story, good morning, annie. >> reporter: good morning, tamala, police have confirmed to go "action news" that the people inside the home at the time of the raid were not the people they were looking for. now that southwest philadelphia family said they are traumatized after the raid happened in the middle of the night. coming out of the shower there's a pump action rifle in my chest, he is like put your hands up. i'm like whoa. >> reporter: this man said s.w.a.t team came to his home using surveillance video police believed potential suspects from a home invasion were inside the home. it traumatized me so bad i had to go to the doctors this morning. >> reporter: a woman is physically impaired after an

ex-boyfriend shot her in the head. the officers left behind an broken door and bruised shoulder. after they were brought in for questioning, police realized they had the wrong people. they said we had you mistaken for someone else it was a misunderstanding, they were going to give us a ride home. >> reporter: reporting live in front of police headquarters, annie mccormick channel 6 "action news." thank you for that. happening today, counselors will be on hand at george reid middle school in new castle, a youngster was struck and killed while trying to run across a busy highway, police say the teen stepped into the path of a toyota camry. police said the driver stopped and will not be charged.

a two car crashed happened at midnight. the crash was so intense, the towing company had to pry the vehicles apart. the drivers are in serious, but stable condition. 15 district police were on patrol near the 4700 block of oxford avenue when they heard gunfire. they found the victim lying on the sidewalk with three bullet wounds to the back. cameras recorded a potential suspect running from the scene. they are looking for him this morning. a reading man is behind bars accused of trying to kill his boy friend by pouring fabric softener endear mouth. he forced her out open and

under arrest for stealing the mayor of wilmington's suv. the 2004 blazer was taken from north madison street on tuesday night. police tracked down the vehicle minutes later. the 17-year-old driver tried to runaway and was apprehended.
