philadelphia and there is new information about the man that threatened a baltimore television station. but the big story on "action news" is a pair of emergency landings that led to a ground stoppage at philadelphia international airport. two planes ran in trouble on their way to philadelphia. that made for tense moments for passengers and a number of delays. katherine scott is live now where more flights are still running behind. >> reporter: particularly on that flight where the pilot reported seeing smoke, it seemed like there was harrowing moments for passengers but in the end everyone evacuated safely. airline officials say it was coincidence, two emergency landings at philadelphia international airport in 15 minutes. one passenger woke up with an oxygen mask hitting him in the face and stressed how great the crew was. 55 people were on board the
eagle flight operated by peidmo peidmont. just prior to landing the pilot reported smoke in the cockpit. minutes before republic airlines airline 518 also bound for philadelphia landed after reporting steering problems. an airport spokesperson says that the flight landed normally and taxis under its own power. no planes going in or out and was lifted shortly after 9:00 a.m. but some delays remained. >> it was a ground delay at philadelphia. >> a passenger from dulles heard the announcement of the inter come. >> there was a plane that could have had smoke in the cockpit and a delay and nothing was going in or out of philadelphia. >> friday morning, 8:00 a.m. is a busy time at the airport and there is a lot of volume so you

poconos and 52 in trenton and the same thing in beach haven at this hour. and here is satellite 6 along with action radar we have a mostly cloudy skies and a couple of showers across the region and as we go throughout the rest of the afternoon we are tracking another piece of energy in the ohio valley. we have steadier moisture developing through the late afternoon hours into the early evening, we are tracking the precipitation and the chance of rain looks to be high today. a 90% chance of finding the moisture on saturday, we get a bit of a reprieve just a 10% chance of showers and by sunday a 90% chance of moisture returning across the delaware and lehigh valley. returning into next week, a 50% chance of finding the rain around monday into tuesday. here is the setup for us as we go through the rest of the weekend. high pressure is to the north, a milder day tomorrow. in at 64, early clouds are
possible and late day breaks of sunshine as we track the area of low pressure that works its way eastward, it's one of the days kind of split, north of the city, a better chance of finding breaks of the clouds and points to the south looking to be cloudy with a few peeks of clouds throughout the day. and sunday it's cloudy and rainy and a cool one as the area of low pressure moves on through, high pressure only coming in at 60 degrees. and something to keep in mind heading over to or attending the broad street run. we have the chill in the air and steady rain is likely. 8:00 in the morning on sunday a temperature of just 49 degrees and 10:00 in at only 51 and 54 at 11:00 a.m. the average this time of year is 69 and we are well below that into sunday. the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast it's cloudy and cool today, high temperature of just 55 and a dry break on saturday, a high up to 64
