over toward the shore at this point but in philadelphia and some of our most commonly biggest traveled roads you are looking at rain. that will probably have a tendency to slacken off a little bit by the end of the rush hour and then this afternoon we're going to be into much lighter precipitation, just a couple of light spotty showers around. maybe some drizzle for some of you. temperatures not as bad as they were yesterday. we were in the 40's yesterday. today 57 degrees in philadelphia. 53 in allentown. 55 in trenton. still cool enough for jackets but the big combination this morning is the jacket and the umbrella or some sort of rain poncho. on the pus stop this morning you're going to need it. cloudy skies rainy conditions, 56 degrees by 6 o'clock, 56 by 8 o'clock, so just hovering in the mid-50's. and as we roll through the rest of the day it stays cool. 57 degrees by 9 o'clock, 58 by 11 o'clock. by 1 o'clock 59. again the bulk of your rain in the morning hours, less in the afternoon but a cool high today of just 60 degrees. that's all we'll see and we'll probably just be sitting on or
about that for most of the afternoon. we are under what we call an upper level closed low for the next several days karen. that's going to keep us cloudy and somewhat unsettled but things are improving in time for the weekend now and i'll have that change coming up in the seven day. >> something to look forward to light at the end of the tunnel, dryness at the end of the tunnel in addition to the light. we have a tough morning commute. a lot of rain that's still coming through and the rain that we've already had has left so much water on the roads. this is one of the big accidents this morning, i-95 southbound right at the delaware state line we have an accident involving a tractor-trailer overturned into the woods so here's the live update. we now have the two left lanes getting by at this point so things are moving better. at one point traffic was stopped. mobile6 throw through this area where you could really see how we saw the emergency workers on the scene with this with this overturned tractor-trailer flipped over into the woods. for awhile traffic was just crawling by on i-95 southbound in lower cloy chester. thingchichester. things are slowly improving
but we're still jammed from 452 to the delaware state line and now that we've got more lanes opened that delay is easing a little bit. let's look at this one. we've got a large tree branch kind of hanging down blocking the road on perkiomenville road at salford station road in upper frederick township. an accident on the pennsylvania turnpike westbound near fort washington has cleared. we had another one that cleared here that was route one northbound at franklin corner road but a bunch of early morning accidents with so much water on the road, tam. >> let's take a look at those roads live now karen. there's mobile6 out there on the move 76 westbound that's where it's headed and you can see the wipers are going and you can see how slick the roadways are. a lot of rain out there this morning. reiterating what karen is saying, a good morning to take a little bit of extra caution. with heavy rain and thunderstorms in the forecast, be sure to keep 6abc.com/weather close at hand. storm tracker6 live radar is the perfect way to know when and where the heaviest of the storms is going to hit. going on now, montgomery

streets for the report of a disturbance. a witness posted this picture on instagram. it shows officers arresting philly jesus whose real name is michael grant when he refused to leave the store. grant is charged with defiant trespassing and disorderly conduct. he was also arrested for disorderly conduct at dillworth plaza in 2014. >> it is 5:07. jury selection continues today in the corruption trial of pennsylvania congressman chaka fattah. fattah and four others face a list of charges including racketeering and bribery. federal prosecutors say fattah took bribes and misused campaign funds and charitable grants. now testimony won't actually begin until may 16th. fattah lost his bid for a 12th term in congress last week. he was defeated by state lawmaker dwight evans in the primary. >> let's turn to accuweather. it's really rainy now but you say it's going to get better later. >> yeah, it won't be as rainy this afternoon as it is now. storm tracker6 live double scan shows you we have green across most of the region.
if we go he in closer you can see that there are some heavy cells highlighted in reds oranges and yellows and that is a pounding rainfall that's really slowing you down and putting a lot of water on your windshield. going a little bit closer in a second but you can see how it's pushing up pretty much par local i-95 and right now right along the new jersey turnpike or at a lot of just off to the side of it and that's going to be starting to cover the turnpike before too much longer so if you are anywhere from about gibbstown through woodbury up toward cherry hill and you're planning on cutting over toward the turnpike you're likely going to find slow conditions there for at least the next half hour or so. the heavier stuff looks like it's beginning to push away from philadelphia although out to the west there is still some additional darker shades of green which is not exactly know rain and as we go out to that wider view, again, as we get past the morning rush hour, we're likely to start to get into this broken pattern that you see down in baltimore and will eventually transition into much less rain as we go later into the morning and afternoon. taking a look outside, lots of

finished with the somewhat rainy start, 56 degrees, cool there as well. and in philadelphia we'll get to 60 probably around 2 o'clock and just sit there for a couple of hours. a rainy start giving way to afternoon clouds and maybe some spotty drizzle. a little bit breezy, too. winds coming in offer the ocean at eight to 16 miles per hour. and then overnight cloudy skies with more spotty drizzle or an odd shower here or there, 51 the overnight low. tomorrow same story. area of low pressure passes by us along the coast an upper level cutoff low just kind of floating through the region will combine to bring us lots of clouds tomorrow, a cool high of just 62 and another possible shower tomorrow. your exclusive accuweather 7-day 60 today cloudy and damp. tomorrow 62, clouds for the most part, spotty showers and it looks like more of the same on thursday with spotty showers and clouds, 62 the high there. friday an area of low pressure brings us periods of rain at times, a high of 63. but it now looks like that whole unsettled system does clear out in time for the weekend or on saturday we wind
up partly sunny, a high of 71. mother's day 74, we can't rule out a afternoon shower or even a rumble of thunder. overall a pretty nice weekend and monday partly sunny and nice, 74 degrees. next week's actually looking really good for the start. >> next week looking forward to it. thank you david. 5:11. still ahead surveillance video captures a frightening moment in new york. a seven-year-old girl tumbles out of a fourth floor window and gets right back up. >> and the feds search a reputed mobster's home in one of the biggest art heists in history. >> look at the rain coming down. it is pouring out here. we're looking live in port richmond. aramingo avenue and somerset street, that poor guy doesn't even have an umbrella. we're going to check i-95 where we had an overturned tractor-trailer shutting it down for awhile. the latest details with there coming up. >> a flurry of silver will you say struss ansilver andfuturistd

we had and this was in lower chichester delaware county. i-95 and southbound right at the delaware state line we had an accident involving a tractor-trailer overturned into the woods. looks like we still have one emergency vehicle it's mostly off to the side. at one point it was blocking all lanes on i-95 southbound. we had a big backup. that has changed. you can see traffic is getting by the southbound delay has thinned. things looking a little better on i-95 but i think an example of what can really happen out there with these wet roads. let's take a look at some of the other problems. we had a vehicle fire happening here lower state road at squire drive in horsham. watch out for emergency workers still on the scene there. in upper frederick township we've got this large tree branch that's kind of hanging down blocking the roadway of perkiomen road at salford station road. stick to gravel pike as your alternate to avoid the problem. pottstown charlotte street remains closed near king street closed indefinitely because they're worried about the structural integrity of a church. stick to hanover street as your alternate. i want to show you storm tracker6 live double scan and we can see the heaviest of
rain is coming right now during your early morning commute and even beyond that we'll be left with some drizzle through the morning hours. so we're looking at this, the heaviest at this point the area of yellow and read it crossed the i-95 corridor, it's now in new jersey near 295, its new jersey turnpike. that's route 70 right here, route 38, some of your heavily traveled roadways really getting the heaviest of rain right now. also in glassboro near 55 and rowan university we've got another batch that's coming through so areas where people will be headed it's really soaking out there, tam. >> okay, thank you, karen. a terrifying situation in new york city a seven-year-old girl with autism is recovering after falling out of a four story window in the bronx. take a look at this. a surveillance camera captured the moment the child crashed to the pavement yesterday. seconds later you somehow see her pick herself up and stumble around. the 13-year-old neighbor heard the commotion and you see that boy guiding the child back insides. that's where his mother called police. investigators say they're having a hard time figuring out exactly what happened
