of green and those patches of yellow are now pushing to the east of philadelphia. they're in central south jersey, central delaware, around dover and then those big yellow cells over in burlington county and ocean counties all pushing up to the northeast. and then to the west of philadelphia we're beginning to really see the rain either slacken off to just drizzle or very light showers highlighted in lighter shades of green. things are in the process of improving but the roads are still wet for now. as you take a look there's a lot of cloud cover behind this rain and a few more sprinkles and showers coming in this afternoon. the heaviest of the stuff for the day is right now. 57 degrees in the city, 53 in allentown, 56 degrees down in millville. not as chilly as yesterday but still jacket weather and of course the umbrella probably a good idea in a lot of spots. cloudy skies on the bus stop. in a lot of neighborhoods it will be raining between six and 8 o'clock and temperatures hovering in the mid 50's. this afternoon the numbers don't go very far. by 1 o'clock we're at 59 with any lingering shower activity dying away. by 3 o'clock, 60 degrees. there could still be a light
spotty shower in a couple of neighborhoods but i think most you are just looking the clouds this afternoon and then by 6 o'clock 58 degrees. so, your high just 60 this afternoon. it will be cool. unfortunately karen it looks like we're stuck in a very similar pattern through friday but things do get better over the weekend. i'll have details coming up. >> all right, dave, our accident started at 3 o'clock in the morning and they haven't stopped. so this is one of the big ones that happened very early on. things are improving now. this is lower chichester township delaware county. i-95 southbound right at the delaware state line we had an accident where an overturned truck ran off into the woods. we had emergency workers here. we still have one truck on the scene at this point but at least your southbound lanes are opened on i-95. no longer jammed at this point but that was a big accident this morning. and in this shot you see the raindrops all over the camera lens just indicating what it's like out there. we're backed up here on i-95 southbound just some building volume approaching cottman. traffic moving okay right here. let's check the vine street expressway. no overnight construction. you see the reduced visibility. the rain coming down and that
westbound traffic already jammed approaching the schuylkill. we've got a couple of accidents out there that are new. one here in chester county on route one oxford bypass southbound approaching 472. another in pottstown right on the ramp from armand hammer boulevard to route 422 eastbound. you always have to be careful on those ramps. there's just a lot of water on the road that you're driving through. a large tree branch partially blocking the road on perkiomenville road at salford station road. they have been trying to move that branch out of there. they've now allowed traffic to come by here on perkiomenville road. accidents, a lot of rains out there and problems with parts of trees coming down tam. >> thank you karen. let's take another look at what it looks like out there. we've got mobile6 making its way around the city right now. it is on its way it looks like it's trying to get on the ben franklin bridge to head over to new jersey and you can just see how much water's coming down. those wipers constantly moving. reiterating what karen is saying, it's a stormy morning out there. make sure you add a little bit

"action news" reporter katherine scott is live at upper dublin high school. she's got details on what's going on. good morning, katherine. >> reporter: good morning, tam. ly and this teacher faces 12 counts of institutional sexual assault. police say this relationship with an 18-year-old student lasted five months. she's now been suspended by the district spendin spending te outcome of this case. 39-year-old rose limuli of lansdale taught english at upper dublin high school for three years. she's charged with having a sexual relationship with an 18-year-old student. pennsylvania law prohibits this type of relationship even if the student is an adult. >> good teacher.
very surprised. >> she was always very helpful and like looked out for kids. so, you know, you hate to see something like this. >> i am absolutely disgusted about it and appalled that this is happening. i feel like it's an epidemic. >> reporter: according to the criminal complaint the two began talking through snapchat phone calls and text messages late last year. police say the inappropriate touching began in the back of the classroom and starting in december, the two allegedly repeatedly engaged in sexual contact at a dog park and once at the victim's home while his mom was at work. the affidavit claims limuli showered the student with gifts like a dirt bike sneakers clothes and a thousand dollars. when administrators heard rumors of the relationship, they called the police. >> and it's unfortunate that at times these relationships go too far. they cross the line. >> reporter: she was released on $50,000 unsecured bail under the condition that she have no contact with the
victim or any other student. live in upper dublin katherine scott channel6 "action news." >> thank you katherine. developing right now a shooting in north philadelphia left two cousins seriously wounded. the gunfire erupted near broad and somerset streets just after 1:00 a.m. police say the trigger man unloaded a barrage of bullets on the 16-year-old boy and his 20-year-old female cousin. now both were able to run to a random house to get help. we'll have much more on this story coming up in a live report at 6:30. an investigation is under way into what lead to a deadly shoot outside the dollar general on the 200 block of buttonwood street last night. witnesses tell police two men were arguing. both pulled out guns and started firing at each other. some of the bullets hit the store and shattered the doors. one of the men was rushed to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the head. he later died. investigators say the other man ran from the scene but later called police and is cooperating with authorities. >> it is now 6:06 and jury
selection continues today in the corruption trial of pennsylvania congressman shack fats. fattah and four others face a list of charges including racketeering and bribery. federal prosecutors say fattah took bribes and misused campaign funds and charitable grants. testimony however will not get going until may 16th. fattah lost his bid for a 12thly term in congress last weekly law defeated by state lawmaker dwight evans in the primary. >> our parent company disney is working on a way to allow all of those cord cutters to still watch 6abc programs. maribel aber is live at the nasdaq in times square to see what is the deal with hulu. maribel. >> reporter: good morning, matt. well, hulu may soon stream some cable and broadcast shows online. abc espn and fox news expected to be among the channels the networks offer. hulu expect to do launch the service next year for about $40 a month according to the wall street journal and the service is hoped to appeal to consumers who don't subscribe
to pay tv. stocks ended up higher yesterday as the nasdaq snapped a seven session losing streak. right now futures pointing to a lower open. we've got the latest on motor vehicle sales due out later today. and google chrome has knocked off microsoft's internet explorer as the number one web browser. chrome had 41.6 percent of the market share for web browsers last month according to the analytics firm net market share slightly higher than internet explorer. mozilla firefox was third. wonder what the worldwide web is going to look like in another five years. >> we both like that google chrome. >> i think it might be less democratic. >> what does that been. >> not as much wild west. >> oh, yeah, maybe, yeah, maybe. >> i see regulation but hopefully not. >> it will be hard to do. >> yes, it will. >> it will be hard to get through this morning because of all this explain it's starting to let up in some western suburbs. i got some twitter followers
who are kind of matching what you see on radar. take a look at storm tracker6 live double scan, some of you out in the northern and western suburbs reporting that things are getting a little bit better as we take that two dimensional view you can see on the other side of norristown downingtown coatesville you're slackening off top light showers and maybe drizzle. still in philadelphia still looking at steady rain with darker shades of green still showing up. the heavier stuff is now pushing into burlington county and ocean county with a little bit down in central or southern gloucester and camden county and northern atlantic county probably pick up some of that before too much longer. i'll start this up for you real quickly and you can see how all of this is pushing up into the northeast and slowly sliding to the east and if we leave you with that wide view, looks like those of you in south jersey even places where it isn't actively raining now still have the longest to go but in philadelphia over the next hour, hour and a half we're going to start to see the lighter stuff get on through. as we take a look outside we got cloudy skies, wet conditions. there's the commodore barry bridge. you can see the clouds above
and rain on the camera lens. 53 degrees right now in allentown. temperatures are in the 50's north to south. and, yeah, the cloudy and damp but at least it's not quite as chilly as it was yesterday morning when we were in the 40's at this time. in terms of the rain, well, we are looking at it getting out of here fairly quickly. by lunchtime looks like we'll be down to light sprinkles and maybe some drizzle and for the rest of the afternoon still kind of cloudy but not as much rain later on today and tonight there could be a little more avenue spotty shower or drizzle action going on. cloudy skies up in the lehigh valley today. damp certainly especially in the morning. 58 degrees is the high. so, it will be cool today. down the shore, cool as well. a high of just 56 degrees. a rainy start giving way to afternoon drizzle for the most part and in philadelphia 60 is your high with that rainy start that you're experiencing right now. again, giving way to afternoon drizzle and maybe just some light spotty showers. i'm planning on getting my walk in this afternoon because it will be less rainy than it is right now. i think the rest of you can probably get outdoor stuff

>> ♪ >> welcome back. you're taking a live look here the view of the platt bridge there. you can see the rain continues to be an issue this morning. it's 6:15 and 57 degrees. >> what do we need to look out for karen? >> you need look out for right now 422. we're looking at wet roads out there and it's been causing a lot of problems. so there's a lot of water on the roadwaysly you want to slow it down. right now we're looking at 422 past oaks eastbound volume coming in from pottstown right now and you can see from limerick or collegeville you've got that eastbound volume building n pottstown now high street is blocked at college drive. we've got some flooding here
and also the ramp from armand hammer boulevard to route 422 eastbound we've got an accident coming in there on the ramp so you want to watch for those handful of accidents that keep coming in. in pottstown here we've got charlotte street remaining closed between king street and chestnut street and that's causing a problem as well because of the structural integrity of a church they're worried about. they shut that down and it's been shut down for a while there. hanover street is your alternate to deal with that. also in chester county we had an accident route one oxford bypass southbound approaching 472. that just cleared. westville gloucester county an accident on 295 northbound past 47 cleared as well so a bunch of problems out there. some flooding now coming in that we talked about and here's why. storm tracker6 live double scan slowing that heavy rain that came through so see the area of yellow, that was pretty intense for awhile. it crossed the i-95 corridor. it's now in south jersey. as we go in a little tighter in this you can see it now on route 70, 206 near medford lakes, route 40 near elmer as well as parts of delaware and
as we look at the city you can see we're just soaked here as well so that's part of the problem this morning so we're soaked in philadelphia, in media, chadds ford, coming in from malvern. you're kind of on the back edge of that steadier rain but even beyond that you can see to the west. we're looking at some showers and drizzle so the steadiest coming through for your morning commute but we stay with clouds and drizzle through the morning, matt. >> thanks karen. brand new here prosecutors in virginia decided to not charge the police officers in connection with a man who died in police custody after repeated tasing. video here shows officers stunning linwood lambert while he was in handcuffs and in the back seat of a patrol car. an autopsy found that he died of acute cocaine intoxication. the fbi is conducting a separate investigation. >> this is also new. fbi agents are searching the home of a reputed mobster in connection with a art heist from a boston museum. agents were egg didding up the lawn and checking the home of robert gentile. the 79-year-old is considered

still jammed northbound from the betsy ross bridge to approaching cottman, i-95 going slowly right now. new accident in marlton. will be i just showed you on storm tracker how some of the heavier rain was near route 70 in marlton. that's what we're seeing. an accident on the shoulder 70 eastbound approaching troth road and that's an area dave that's pretty busy route 70 so now you have an accident there. >> all right karen we have rain on storm tracker6 live double scan that continues to shift over towards the east. right now it's mostly south jersey and delaware that are covered by the bulk of the heavier stuff but philadelphia wilmington trenton still trying to get rid of this. generally speaking the western suburbs better than the i-95 corridor and points east. if you're dressing the kids depending on where you are you might want rain gear on the way in. this afternoon they probably don't need it. your exclusive call from accuweather 56 degrees by 7 o'clock, 57 by 9 o'clock. most of your rain in the morning, just some drizzle and real light spotty showers in the afternoon, a high of 60 and we'll be sitting on that for a couple hours this afternoon. at the airport no major delays

>> police arrested the plan known as philly jesus at the center city apple store. police were called to the store at 16th and walnut streets for the report of a disturbance. a witness posted a picture coming up -- this is complete -- there you go. here's the picture that they posted on instagram. it shows officers arresting
philly jesus whose real name is michael grant when he refused to leave the store. grant is charged with defiant trespass and disorderly conduct. he was also arrested for disorderly conduct at dillworth plaza back in 2014. >> terrifying situation in new york. a seven-year-old girl with autism is recovering after falling out of a four story window in the bronx. the surveillance camera captured the moment that the child crashed to the pavement yesterday. it is heart stopping to see that. seconds later you see her pick herself up and stumble around. a 13-year-old neighbor heard the commotion and you see the boy guiding the child back inside. that's where his mother called police. investigators say they're having a hard time figuring out exactly what happened here because the girl is nonverbal. >> 6:27. and police are sorting out the details of a double shooting that put two young relative into the hospital. >> new this morning crews pull a car out of the water and police say this is not weather related. it could be criminal. >> ♪

county with a little bit of that as well. also a we take a look at the wide view lots of cloud cover behind the rain. we do expect it to stay generally cloudy today. witness we get rid of this morning batch of rain we'll transition to a cloudy afternoon that has nothing more than a little drizzle and maybe a real quick light spotty shower. 57 in philadelphia not as chilly as yesterday but jacket worthy weather. in a lot of areas as fewer stepping out the door you'll also water main rain gear. 57 degrees by 9 o'clock. temperatures aren't going that far today. you can see that by 1 o'clock we're still in the upper 50's and your high today is going to be 60. we'll be sitting on that for a couple hours this afternoon including 3 o'clock but at least it won't be as wet this afternoon as it is right now. karen rogers when i step inside we've got a similar forecast for the next several days. cool, cloudy and at times damp but things are getting better heading into the weekend and i'll have details on that coming up. >> it's such bad timing to have the rain come down during are morning commute.
we've got flooding, we have accidents. looking live at the schuylkill expressway and this is right near the roosevelt boulevard. that's your westbound traffic. already really jammed from the boulevard to gladwyne on the schuylkill expressway. i-95 here we are southbound, already a 26 minute ride here from woodhaven to the vine on:95 southbound as you head towards center city you're jammed already this morning with so much water on the roads, particularly in pottstown. we're getting reports of flooding here and it's causing a problem on high street. they've had to block it here at college drive. stick to king street to get around that area of flooding. also an accident right on the ramp from armand hammer boulevard to 422 eastbound that's causing problems as well. another accident this one is new and coming in to us and it's on lindbergh road at 412. this is in bucks county so lindbergh road a problem there. in marlton we have an accident a busy area of route 70. you know how jammed that is anyway. eastbound approaching troth road. police are on the scene with this but that's just creating an extra slow go in the rain this morning. let's go live in new jersey and that's 42 northbound
traffic already looking a little slower than normal we'd see at this hour, 42 northbound coming in from deptford or turnersville you're dealing with that building volume now, matt. >> thanks karen. developing overnight a shooter takes aim at two young can cousins in north philadelphia. they manage to stumble to a house while wounded to get help. annie mccormick is live at temple university hospital where they're being treated. annie. >> reporter: matt, that's right, both victims, both shooting victims were taken here to temple university hospital. they were listed in stable condition. one of the victims is just a teenager. well, take a look at this video that was taken overnight. police say that this all unfolded around 1:00 a.m. near broad and somerset in north philadelphia. two people were shot, a 16-year-old male was hit four times in his legs and elbow and his 20-year-old female cousin was hit on her back. police say both ran several blocks to a ran to my house in o
the 1100 block of glenwood. victims so far have only told police a plan approached them and started firing. >> after being shot we found both victims sitting on the front steps of a property in the 1100 block of glenwood. so we don't have a motive for the shooting at this time. we couldn't find any scene. there was no ballistic evidence, no shell casings, no projectiles no, blood. so, there's no crime scene. >> reporter: and police say they still have a lot of questions about this and they're even questioning the story if both of those shooting victim. they say the intersection where they say that this shooting did occur is a known drug corner. also they live in the immediate area so police are wondering why they ran to that random home rather than to their own home which actually would have been closer for them to run to during the gunfire. now east detectives are handling this case. of course police say if you have any information you are urged to call them. for now reporting live outside of temple university hospital, annie mccormick, channel6
"action news." back to you. >> thank you, annie. also new this morning dive teams pull a stolen car from a lake in mount laurel, new jersey. the action cam was there as crews arrived at north lake road and birch field drive. they were able to tow the car to the shore line. it's unclear how the car ended up in the water or who stole it. >> ♪ >> to politics now. ted cruz stop trump movement faces a big test in indiana. win or lose cruz is vowing he'll stay in the race. >> donald trump cannot clinch the nomination even with a big primary win today but his pathway to the convention in cleveland would get a lot easier. let's take a live look at some voting taking place or at least not at this moment but the polls have opened in the state of indiana, did so at 6 o'clock. this is a polling station in carmel where you will see voters stream in shortly. >> now the stakes are a little bit lower on the democratic side. hillary clinton holds a commanding lead over bernie sanders. in fact she secured 91 percent of the delegates that she needs to win the nomination. neither clinton nor sanders
will spends the day in indiana. sanders has been making stops in kentucky while clinton's team has moved on to states that will be critical in the general election. in other news now back here in center city, the search goes on for two bank bandits who held up different branches on the same day. a pair of republic banks located just three blocks apart. someone held up the branch near 16th and walnut yesterday evening. that suspect was wearing a coat hat and glasses. but he dropped the money a block away when the dye pack exploded. a different thief demand cash from another republic bank this time at 16th and market yesterday morning. investigators say he's a suspect in at least one other center city bank robbery in recent months. >> 6:36 and the severe weather system that is bringing us our rainy weather this morning battered the midatlantic states. a homeowner in indian valley virginia recorded hail blanketing his back deck. ice pell let's in raleigh were falling in a gas station
marketing lot. flashes of lightning came fast and furious across cape may new jersey overnight along with heavy rain. this is the view from our sky6 camera over the jersey shore town earlier this morning. >> time now to get your accuweather forecast. what a night. lots of thunder boomers in my neighborhood. >> i slept through them or they didn't go off in my neighborhood. rain will be diminishing a little bit over the next several hours. as we take a look at the bird's eye view you can see that the heavier stuff continues to push over ocean county, burlington county and southern camden county at this point. philadelphia has a little bit of steady rain but it's, you know, mostly highlighted in the lighter to moderate shades of green and generally speaking we are starting to get into the lesser variety of rain. some of this is extending back in through montgomery county and there's a little bit of a heavier cell that is also pushing up toward reading and i'll go ahead and start this for you. the entire region is looking
at this rain pushing through over toward the east-northeast and if we leave you with that wide view of course most of south jersey is currently under rain at this point. we didn't have as much in atlantic city, maybe an hour and a half ago but it has pushed in there and a couple of spotty heavier cells pushing into areas close to cape may and just inland from sea isle city. the wide view, though, again shows you that there is drying out to the west. lancaster county, western chester county, beginning to dry, even baltimore beginning to see less rain and all of that will be pushing through over the next couple of hours and getting over toward the east. as we take a look outside, we do have cloudy skies in philadelphia, still a little bit damp in the city and of course your roads are wet even in areas where the intensity of the rain has slackened off. 57 degrees currently in philadelphia, winds at 10 miles per hour. it's cool, just a little bit breezy. you'll want a jacket this morning and of course some rain gear in those areas that are still seeing the rain. and as we take a look farther to the west, a lot of cloud cover behind this immediate portion of rain and later this afternoon we'll still be looking at cloudy skies and a
