dry and it is friday, all good news here, tam. police in delaware are working the case of a murdered 15-year-old boy gunned down yesterday afternoon blocks from the school that's the school already reeling from a tragic death. katherine scott is live outside of howard high school of technology in wilmington with these details. good morning, katherine. >> reporter: good morning, tam, this has been an unbelievable tough month for the school, the victim was a freshman at howard high school. the grief counselors and the support staff will be at the school to offer support to the classmates. the 15-year-old boy was shot and killed a few blocks away from the school yesterday afternoon in wilmington. it happened on the 900 block of clifford brown walk at 3:00 p.m. he died from a bullet wound to his head. detectives are searching for evidence. this violence comes after the death of amy joyner-francis.
the 16-year-old died after a school bathroom beating. three girls have been charged in connection with the death. as to what happened to the 15-year-old boy it remains under investigation. there's a ten thousand dollar reward for information leading to an arrest. neighbors say it seemed like a typical after when suddenly they heard gunfire. i heard pow pow pow pow, i thought that sounds close to home. i want to look outside and i seen the individual lying on the ground and i heard everybody screaming. the principal said all of the howard community is pained by the loss of the young man, please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers. anyone with information is urged to call the police. katherine scott channel 6 "action news." new this morning, philadelphia police are testing a driver for dui after he slammed into the back of another car. this happened before 3:00 a.m. in the city's logan section.
the driver of the other car was injured and taken to einstein in stable condition. crews continue to scour the mediterranean sea for any wreckage of egypt air flight 804. the flight fell from the radar while carrying 66 passengers and crew to cairo. annie mccormick has more. >> reporter: u.s. intelligence officials are looking at satellite imagery and checking the background of all aboard the flight. in the meantime officials continue to search to find the plane. families are waiting information about their loved ones on 804. the flight disappeared from radar with 56 people on board, 10 crew members. the flight went missing off the egyptian coast after entering
egyptian aerospace. officials believe the plane went down because of a terror attack rather than a technical failure. the greek radar defense minister said the plane swerved and plunged ten thousand feet. the tsa remains on high alert for u.s. bound international flights. earlier reports made by egyptian air that wreckage that had been found was later disputed. no americans were on board the flight. that's the latest from the satellite center, annie mccormick channel 6 "action news." thank you for the details. two gay men beaten in center city are suing their attackers. the case made headlines when the men were beaten on chancellor street. the men are suing the three for unspecified damages. harry and williams pleaded
guilty and the other person lost and went to jail. diswhrncht -- police are looking for an attacker who grabbed a woman. police showed up with search dogs, but the man is still at large. christopher joe -- guiseppe is accused of attacking three men, authorities fear there can be more victims, anyone with information should come forward. allentown said all water at the their schools have safe lead levels. all but three were deemed
acceptable. the locations were replaced. they included two water fountains and sinks. a public memorial service will be held to celebrate the life of peter liacouras who died after a long illness. he was credited with transforming temple from a commuter college to a university with increasing stature and influence. the memorial takes place at the temple performing arts center. a bear wandering through delaware has its own twitter #. it is delebear. early yesterday the bear was wandering near homes and spotted near hockessin. officials think it is heading north, if you spot it, stay calm and contact them. stay away.

out and enjoy it. already planning on it. ice cream cone weather to me. the houston, texas area is on a flood watch this is the area that was drying out from devastating flooding back in april. yesterday police rescued a woman who stalled out in the flooding, they ventured back into the water to get items out of the car both got stuck, so rescuers had to go back and airlifted the women to safety. police are considering charging them for going back into the floodwaters. a maryland woman is arrested on charges she torched the woman's car because she believed he cheated on her. he saw the malibu engulfed in flames and her girlfriend was standing by. she said i set his car on fire
because he cheated on me. i can't care how mad you are, you don't set someone's car on fire no matter what the situation is. she faces arson charges that could put her in prison for 28 years. she said a music video gave her the idea to burn the car. san francisco could be the first city to have warning on a photo app. the message on the ads warn consumers about the risk of obesity, diabetes and tooth deindicate. it will be on poster and billboard adds, but not on radio or internet. they will be on menus or containers. public pools and hot tubs are ripe with health and safety violations. cdc found 80% of pools and other

wage an all-out battle against a multi-alarm house fire. the blaze erupted on the unit block of north 26th street. one person was taken to the hospital and expected to be okay. the fire went to three-alarms before firefighters got it under control at 9:30. a reading police officer turned himself in to face claims that he beat a woman and why he pulled her over. the video shows him punching the woman in her face and smashing her cell phone to get rid of the evidence. the confrontation happened last month. as the officer turned himself in yesterday, the laurie rejected the -- his lawyer rejected the charges saying the woman assaulted the officer first and the video does not tell the
whole story. trenton police will use body cameras in the next two weeks. the devices will be activated every time an officer responds to a call. the video will be uploaded to the cloud and stored by the camera manufacturer so it cannot be edited. they had meeting to explain the system to the public. donald trump weighs in making fun of chris christie details on what he said. a man is rescued from a chimney where he was stuck for hours and yes, he did not have anything on. we'll be right back.
