armed suspects ambushed a driver in southwest philadelphia. a man was trying to park his car on the 5600 block of ancora terrace when the suspects chased him down when he tried to get away. the victim is 34 years old remains in the hospital in critical condition shot in his head. police stopped two people they took them to southwest detectives for questioning. let's go to the scene in southwest philadelphia where you can see police investigating on the 5600 block of angora terrace. this happened at 1:00 a.m., the victim was parking his girlfriend's car in in in front of her house where where he was living. officers on patrol heard the
gunshots and found the victim lying between two parked cars with the gunshot wound to his head. the victim was able to get out of the car and run across the street where shots were fired at him and he was shot in the head. the shooter ran west on an gore i can't -- angora terrace entering a green minivan. police did find surveillance cameras about a block away, they hope to pull footage to give them more details of whatever is behind this. katherine scott channel 6 "action news." new this morning, fire forced out a family in philadelphia's feltonville section. the action cam was was on east loudon street around 1 5:00 a.m. the residence got out safely and the fire is under investigation.
a 6-year-old boy is recovering this morning from a hit-and-run in montgomery county. surveillance video shows the moment of impact in norristown. a gold colored toyota camry hit the bike. the driver slammed the car in reverse, you see that and headed out. police found the car a few blocks from the scene and the driver is on the loose. the chaild is in stable condition at -- child is in stable condition. a robbery at a chinese restaurant on philadelphia pike last night. the male employee is expected to survive. delaware state police are asking anyone with information to contact them. chopper 6 was over the scene along darby creek road at water view circle. one person was killed in this
multi-vehicle wreck after 7:30 p.m. haverford township police are releasing few details as they investigate. philadelphia police have charged john cook with vehicular homicide and leaving the scene of an accident. a deadly hit-and-run cottman and bustleton avenue. cook was driving at a high rate of speed when he ran into a bus canopy. the man sitting in the canopy was struck and killed. one person is dead and three others were wounded following a city inside a new york city concert venue where t.i.was supposed to perform. investigators say the shooting happened back stage in the vip area. a 33-year-old man was shot in the stomach and later died. a 34-year-old man was shot in the chest and in critical condition. a third man and a woman were
