they've got your accuweather and traffic. good morning. >> all right, everyone, we're off to another okay start. there are some clouds that are building in in the overnight hours and by morning we'll have some sun with thicker clouds arriving as the day goes on. we're keeping our eyes on some sprinkles and showers by pittsburgh. there could be a light sprinkle or brief shower that comes through later in the day. 64 degrees is your current temperature so heading out the door it still feels fairly comfortable. 54 allentown, 55 reading, 60 wilmington and 63 if you have an early morning stroll on the boards. just a little bit cooler down there along the ocean than it was this time yesterday. it's going to be another warm 1f you're working out good morning for it, 65 degrees by 7 o'clock, 75 by 10 o'clock and then we do start to turn up the heat a little bit. 80 degrees by noon. by 3 o'clock 80 and we're actually going to get a high of 82. we'll probably hit that around 2 o'clock today and still holding pretty similar numbers straight through 6 o'clock this evening. there are some showers maybe even a thunderstorm arriving later tonight and in through the early part of tomorrow morning. we'll talk more about that
with future tracker6 and the rest of the seven day coming up. karen. >> all right dave. we expect major delays by rush hour in south jersey. we're looking live at admiral wilson boulevard. this is route 30 approaching 130. we have construction blocking the two right lanes. also that ongoing construction that's out there on 38 and eastbound past 130 also blocking the two right lanes. they have all kinds of signs warning you about this. it's been causing big problems and will do so again. we have light traffic volume right now. no problems early on but we expect that to build. this is the ramp from i-95 northbound to cottman. construction blocking the ramp but we expect this to be cleared shortly. not seeing a delay because again such light volume heading you out but if you're headed out early watch for that. vine street expressway let's take you there live. all lanes have been closed in both directions. starting to see some of the ramps reopen. that's why we're seeing traffic move right now. we can still see police blocking it off. for the vine crews will return again tonight at 11 o'clock. until then we should see it completely clear by about 5:00
a.m. tam and nydia. >> thank you karen. developing right now, it hurts the heart to tell you this story. police in florida are desperately searching a lagoon at an upscale disney world resort. an alligator dragged a two-year-old boy into a water despite his parents' all out efforts to try to grab their child back. katherine scott is live in the satellite center with the details. good morning katherineism good morning tam. that alligator is between four and 7 feet long yet those parents went into the water thereafter alligator and their little boy but they were unable to save him. now a team of law enforcement is out trying to find him. the search stretched throughout the night for the two-year-old boy from nebraska who was dragged in the water by an alligator at disney's grand floridian resort and spa right in front of his family. >> they were just simply relaxing out in the area and wading just in the water there along the lake's edge at the
time that the alligator attacked the child. >> reporter: the father went into the water trying to rescue his son. the mother went in, too, but they couldn't get him. law enforcement personnel, two marine units were dispatched. a man watched from his nearby hotel room. >> all of a sudden we saw a search helicopter search with a bright search light over the lagoon all that you can see are boats and helicopters inch the attack happened in an area of the seven seas lagoon where no swimming signs are posted. disney which is the parent company of 6abc is cooperating with authorities. >> everyone here at the walt disney world resort is devastated by this tragic accident. our thoughts are with the family. we are helping the family and doing everything we can to assist law enforcement. >> as a father, as a grandfather, we're going to hope for the best in these circumstances but based upon my 35 years of law enforcement
experience, we know that we have some challenges ahead of us at this time. >> reporter: and law enforcement personnel say they plan to continue to search until this little boy is recovered. we're live in the satellite center katherine scott channel6 "action news." nydia. >> such a tragedy. problems with the water supply hampered efforts to battle two alarm blaze in lansdale montgomery county. the flames broke out late last night at the clemons uniform rental company on the 800 block of west fifth street. the business had been closed for the day. no one was inside and there are no reports of injuries at the scene. it took crews an hour and a half to contain the flames. five people are recovering this morning after gunfire erupted on the streets of wilmington. three of those victims are juveniles. "action news" reporter annie mccormick is live at the wilmington police department with the latest on the investigation. annie, good morning. >> reporter: good morning, nydia. and according to wilmington police there are five shooting victims several of them juveniles, at least one a
teenager. at this hour no word on if they have identified the shooter or shooters. well, this is video from the scene. it was around 9:15 last night that officers responded to elm street and south van buren street. multiple calls of shots fired came into 911. officers found three shooting victims on van buren and two others on harrison. police say the victims are juvenile one as young as 13. that young girl and the rest of the victims were taken to area hospitals and are listed all in stable condition. now, back out here live we were told that not far from tuesday night's shooting on monday night around the same neighborhood there was a 24-year-old man that was shot and wounded in the shoulder. at this hour police say that they are not connected, it just appears that there was a lot of gunfire in that one center of the city and of course police are still looking for any information so if anybody was there, any witnesses they're asking them to come forward. reporting live in wilmington, annie mccormick channel6 "action news."
tam. >> annie thank you. new information this morning on the case of a woman found handcuffed stabbed and shot to death in fairmount park near the mann music center. philadelphia homicide detectives have identified the victim as 26-year-old toi bryant of chester. police think the murder happened somewhere else and that the body was dumped on the 5300 block of north georgia hill drive on monday night. >> now to the latest on the orlando shooting massacre. the fbi is investigating whether the gunman has led a secret life as a gay man. omar mateen opened fire at the pulse gay club on sunday can killing 49 people and wounding 53 others. there are now reports that patik was seen regularly at the club and that he approached other men at the bar and used gay dating apps. >> it's not like he just sat there and stared at people. he was an active person that tried to find somebody, maybe
to go to bed with that night. >> investigators are also investigating mateen's wife noor salman and have taken her into custody. they want to determine if she knew in advance that her husband intended to attack the club. she could be charged. some reports say she tried to dissuade him from carrying out his plot but then drove him to buy his guns and drove him to the club to case it out. one of the survivors of the massacre a college student from philadelphia is speaking out about the attack. we'll hear from her coming up at 5:00 a.m. >> it is now 4:38 and there's still so much more to come on "action news." newly released video shows students at a university out west fighting back against an armed gunman. >> a good samaritan jumps into a river in north jersey to save a woman from her sinking suv. david. >> all right, guys, 82 is your high today. it's going to be warm, right around the average high. 64 is the overnight low which is also right smack on average. we have some overnight rain coming in, maybe a couple of thunderstorms. i'll have that for you on
>> a north jersey man is talking about how he rescued a woman from her sinking suv. the vehicle crash landed in the passaic river yesterday morning. jay moss was on the other side of the river at his gym. without hesitation he jumped in the water and pulled the driver from that suv. >> as soon as i realized there was no one coming, it was a little bit of a scary moment looking at someone and conscious in the car thinking that if i can't get it open she's probably going die. >> moss carried the 50-year-old woman safely back to the river bank. it's unclear what caused the woman to crash into the river. she is expected to be okay. >> he was the right person in the right place at the right time. >> no kidding. all right. so, another warm one today and maybe a little rainy overnight tonight into tomorrow morning. as we take a look at storm tracker6 live double scan right now no, rain out there for your morning commute. as we take a look outside we
have some sunshine expected up over the horizon. you can kind of seat skies still somewhat clear over atlantic city with just a few clouds but those clouds are going to get thicker as the day goes on. temperature currently is 64 degrees heading out the door so not all that bad. the dewpoint a little bit higher than yesterday but still below what we consider humid levels so still pretty comfortable. winds not as strong as the last couple mornings only running at 5 miles per hour in philadelphia. satellite shows you the thicker cloud cover out to the west. we're also tracking a couple of little showers creeping through southwestern pennsylvania and as we get into the afternoon in particular there is the chance of a pop-up shower here or there but it's going to be dry for the majority of the day and some of you might not see any rain at all today. it's just a little blip. 67 degrees by 8 o'clock, 75 by 10 o'clock, 80 by noon. we're going for a high of 82 probably hitting that at 2 o'clock and we'll slowly slide into the upper 70's by about 5 o'clock with again clouds dominating things the farther we go through the day. 82 is the high in philadelphia, 85 up in
trenton. some of these areas to the east and north are going to be a little bit warmer. allentown 83, 82 in reading and then 78 in wilmington, 77 in millville. i could see things cooling down a little bit later in the afternoon as a front gets closer to us and we start to get more of a flow in off the ocean but we're still looking at highs in the mid 70's down the shore a-little warmer early this afternoon than it was the last couple days. blue jays tonight arrive after that first half of the home at home in toronto. now they're here in philadelphia. mostly cloudy tonight, probably dry during the game. 77 for the first pitch and 70 in the ninth inning but as we get later into the evening hours, say, after 11 o'clock, there is the chance of a sprinkle beginning to build in. you might see that before the end of the day -- or the game tonight i should say but by the time we get into the early morning hours of thursday, 5:00 a.m., when we're on the air tomorrow morning it does look like we're going to see some showers, maybe even a thunderstorm popping up here or there. now, this is all coming in a little bit faster on the models so it does look like by the time we get to noon you start to see this breaking up a little bit and then later in
the afternoon we should be dry. by 5 o'clock we could see some sun coming back. your seven-day from accuweather today's high is 82 degrees increasing clouds, probably dry for the union and phillies and then that rain overnight just a little spotty shower during the day. damp early tomorrow and then drying out later in the afternoon a high of 76 and then clouds early on friday with another slight chance of a shower but it does look like we'll get some sun later in the day with a high of 82. we're now going back to mostly sunny for both saturday and sunday as that concern we had yesterday with the coastal storm on sunday is now off the models so it really looks like a great weekend including father's day and heating up on monday, 91 degrees for the official start of summer and tuesday hot and humid with a thunderstorm possible late. 91 is the high there. remember, when we're not on the air here you can always get the latest weather information by going to 6abc.com/weather. and let's see, tomorrow morning will be a time to keep an eye on things because there could be some showers around and maybe even a thunderstorm. >> i'll put the umbrella at the door.

[laughter] >> thanks, david. >> president obama delivered a bruising attack against donald trump and trump's response to the orlando attack. the president took particular you shall with trump's plan to ban all muslims from entering the united states. in the past obama has dismissed trump as a because of fan to or huckster but yesterday he challenged trump as a dangerous threat to the safety of religious freedom and diversity. donald trump held a rally last night in greensboro north carolina. he stood by his reaction to the orlando massacre and said all muslims had a history of terrorism even though mateen is a american born in new york city. trump continued to use mateen as justification for the ban. >> the primary season wrapped up with washington, d.c.'s democratic primary. hillary clinton had won there. she met privately with democratic rival bernie sanders in washington last night.
the 90 minute meeting focused on unifying the party. earlier yesterday clinton held a rally in pittsburgh where she echoed president obama's rant against trump. >> new on "action news" for the first time we're seeing the heroic take down that stopped an armed gunman on the campus of seattle pacific university two years ago. surveillance video shows the accused gunman trying to reload his gun after shooting spree in 2014. a student confronts him, pepper spraying him in the face. the student manages to tackle him and wrest tell away the gun. one person died in this shooting incident and two others were hurt. he's set to go on trial in september. >> new on "action news," a pilot in kansas will to call 911 when his plane tried to take off without him. video shows the single engine aircraft spinning in circles in a field. this kind of plane can be started from the outside. officials believe a back wheel got stuck so it suddenly started spinning. they were stumped as to how to stop the plane so they just waited until it ran out of gas. that's one way to do it.

>> good morning. look at that shot of the commodore barry bridge. a beautiful start to the day. we see just a few clouds out there. kind of cool to start you off. a nice high of 82 degrees. let's take a look outside right now. we've got construction on the roads. you got to watch for that as you're heading out early. this is 202 approaching route 30. we're watching them right now back up trying to pick up some of these cones. it continues to block the left lane but should be completely clear at about 5:00 a.m. it's not causing a delay yet. it's early so you're looking okay. we're seeing traffic move okay. watch for that construction still out there at the moment blocking the left lane. also in berks county i-78 eastbound they have shut it down now between exit 45 and 49. that's 863 and route 100. construction out here causing the problem. stick to 222 as your alternate while that's still shut down through the overnight hours. how about in lansdale. fifth street at mitchell. we've got a building fire we've been talking about right here so watch for emergency crews on the scene with this one. also northeast extension
southbound past lansdale we've got construction blocking the right lane. so a couple of issues out there as we look near lansdale n lower southampton more construction out there right now and this is street road westbound blocked near stump road so if you're in this area stick to bustleton pike as your alternate for those construction crews that are out there. live on the vine street expressway it reopened nice and on time even a little bit early. usually expected by 5:00 a.m. but right now westbound, eastbound you're in the clear looking pretty good. we're dry and staying dry during the day time hours today. tam and nydia. >> all right, thank you karen. now for the first look at business. we've learned that atlantic city's revel will not be reopening today as originally planned. city officials say the resort doesn't have all of its permits and inspections still need to be done. "action news" did spot new owner glen straub on site last flight as last minute work was being do. he hasn't revealed the property's new name though he has been hinting it might have an asian theme. the city says the facility will not be opening until thursday at the earliest. more money is going to the

of walton avenue. the suspect described as a man in his 30's remains on the run. a judge has ruled the police interview with the new jersey father charged with murdering his young son will be used as evidence in his trial. during the hearing yesterday part of the hour long interview was played. david creato jr. allegedly told police that his then 17-year-old girlfriend resented his son brendan. prosecution alleges creato killed brendan and left him in a wooded area last october to appease his girlfriend. >> she doesn't really like the fact i have a kid with another person and she is always fighting with me. >> the defense argued to have the video suppressed saying he was not read his miranda rights. a judge ruled that creato gave the information freely so it is admissible. >> three crew members are okay after their navy helicopter crashed near newport news virginia. the chopper went down in the james river during a routine training mission yesterday. thankfully boaters were nearby to help rescue them from the
