scan live radar. >> the heat warning started at noon today and lasts straight through saturday evening. we are talking about an extended period of excessively hot air. it will feel like over 100 each day. we heard the thunder here in the studio earlier this morning when the storms rocked through. we have a few cells, you see them starting to form near harrisburg, north and west to see the better chance of the storms pop. we have a shower pushing off the coast now in surf city, and currently dry through the region, lets look at the numbers and that did nothing to break the heat. 90 degrees is the new number in martins creek and 88 in slatington and pottstown 94 and 94 in coatesville already, they have sunshine out to the west. and clouds in philadelphia, a few passing clouds held the

numbers down. 87 in center city. in new jersey, 90 in browns mills, 90 in ewing and 92 in vineland and 93 in smyrna, delaware. you see the numbers and it's not just the heat but the humidity is oppressive. the dew points are in the mid-70s at this point. that means oppressive air, any time you hit 70 you feel how thick it is out there. i want to show you this, this is a graphic that tracks the heat index. by 2:00 today feeling like 101, and at 8:00 if you are sit can at the eagles game it will feel like 96 degrees. the heat and humidity this is the beginning of it and building each day through the weekend. i'll tell you when it finally gets better in the seven-day forecast. >> thank you. some folks did not let the storms get in the middle of their dale quiworkouts while others stay earn doors to avoid

orchestrated the cover up and leaking of information, he is the latest of a parade of current and former staffers. among them adrian king, once her top adviser. >> kathleen kane arrives for the third day of testimony for the case against her, her one time law school boyfriend and later top administrative aide, adrian king. they say that kane used king to illegally link material to josh morrow and that later ended up in this daily news article that triggered the probe that led to kane's arrest. under tough cross-examination kane was pushed about changing his testimony. a clearly annoyed king, i did it when it became clear that the

two people were killed and more than 100 others out of their home because of a massive apartment fire in maryland near washington, d.c. they told they were literally flown out of their beds from the explosion. people were forced to jump from windows to safety and parents lowered their children to safety to bystanders on the ground and five people remain missing.

eww. >> lets take a look now at stormtracker 6 live double scan. we are dry through most of the region now. we had storms earlier, as you look to the west you start to see cells trying to pop up and we can go closer with this with double scan, that is the best way to pinpoint what is happening. seeing lightning strikes out near harrisburg but this little cell near reading just popped up in the last few minutes. lets go outside and show you what it looks like. the action cam was out and about and we had rain and it make its greener in fairmont park, a beautiful shot, 87 degree right now in philadelphia. 88 in allentown and 90 already in reading. 87 in trenton and 90 in millville and 90 in cape may, and the heat index in the city is already 95, that is what it feels like, oppresssive humts and we feel the change with that. the clouds are starting to break a bit and we had cloud cover

earlier, we see the showers and thunderstorms trying to pop up and we are watching for that today and most especially in philadelphia and areas north and west and future tracker 6 is not showing a whole lot happening and 6:00 a shower or two is popping up. this is the radar at 10:30 a shower or two popping up. things can pop supquickly. the shore you have the moderate risk of rip concerns and the jersey beaches, 87 for your high and delaware beaches 89 and still oppressive humidity even at the shore. 93 is your high in philadelphia and even in the lehigh valley low 90s you are dealing with it. 90 in trenton and millville. 93 for your high in cape may and 91 in dover, delaware. look at this hour by hour 2:0092 degrees and clouds and sun and philadelphia north and west

clouds or thunderstorms to fire up and 93 and 6:00 p.m. 90 and 8:00 p.m. 88 degrees and if you head to the eagles gail, the preseason game, people are bringing their water bottles and dealing with it. it will feel like the 90s and kickoff 88 degrees in the fourth quarter and feeling horribly muggy, the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast hot and humid and 93 for your high and tomorrow no relief 95, and saturday scorching heat 96 degrees for your high temperature. a chance of a shower or thunderstorm each day, sunday stifling and 95 and monday not quite as brutal. 91 degrees, the front finally comes through and brings a few showers or thunderstorms. on tuesday you feel relief and warm at 86, you will feel the difference.
