credibility in hopes of getting a new glial another rollercoaster gets stuck at a popular pennsylvania amusement park. >> i think we've gotten a perfect 10 for the weather forecast. here's matt and david. karen is off. >> nice breeze blowing and in a lot of ways today is going to be a repeat. you see a lack of cloud cover so obviously we have sun on the way. temperatures a little bit cooler. down to 64 in philadelphia. if we get down to 62 it will be the coolest morning since mid june so a couple months since we felt the way we feel right now. in some of the suburbs we're in the mid-50's. trenton allentown readin readinl these numbers very comfortable and refreshing. dewpoints down below that 60-degree threshold for humid air. we're in the 50's. that means dry air. as we plan the next 12 hours, 63 degrees by 7 o'clocking by 10 o'clock, 72, another beautiful morning for a run or just to have a walk to the bus stop or to the train station. 78 degrees by noon, another great day to have lunch

outside. and then today's high a couple of degrees below yesterday's high. we're going to wind up getting up to about 82 trees. less wind hasn't yesterday but lots of sun and low hume. it does look like we're going to creep that humidity back up toward the end of the week and we'll have another couple hot summer like days coming up matt. that's ahead in the accuweather 7-day. >> but it sounds like a great day to plan some time outside. >> oh, yeah. >> maybe just not on this chunk of the schuylkill expressway right now david. here in king of prussia there's an accident and fuel spill taking out the westbound left lane on the schuylkill as you head toward 202 and toward the pennsylvania turnpike. you can see the pen to the cleanup crews -- penndot cleanup crews. at this point traffic can get by in the right lane. we've seen people tapping their brakes as you can see right there but at this point no huge delays on the westbound side of 76. overnight construction on westbound 76 in university city is gone. as is work on the southbound roosevelt boulevard near fox street. now construction on the vine

street expressway has also cleared in both directions, all lanes reopened but crews do return tonight at 11 o'clock and at that point they will close the vine again in both directions. some overnight work still going on for the next hour in egg harbor township. watch out for it on the garden state parkway southbound between the white horse pike and the black horse pike. right lane out of commission there until 6 o'clock. tam. >> okay, thank you, matt. raging flames have fire crews raising to a scene -- racing to a scene in west oak lane. they found two women on the ground dealing with serious injuries after jumping out of that burning home. "action news" reporter annie mccormick is at the 7800 block of mitchner avenue. >> reporter: when firefighters arrived 33 found them on the ground in the rear of the home in the backyard. that's because they jumped from a second floor window. we do know that one woman who was 30 years old did suffer head and leg injuries.

a 17-year-old did break her leg and she also suffered smoke inhalation but take a look behind me. you can see that this is still an active scene. the fire was out in just 15 minutes thanks to the firefighters here but right now they're still making sure that all the hot spots are out. they arrived here to the 7800 block of mitchner avenue around 3:30 in the morning. flames were shooting from the upper floor of the home. firefighters again got it under control in just 15 minutes. now, when they arrived in the rear of the home they found the 30-year-old victim on the ground and the 17-year-old also on the ground. some neighbors that we talked to did not wander to go on camera, said that they also walked into the back comforted the woman and called 911. and as you can see, firefighters still going in and out of the home. now, as for the other homes on this block, as you can see they're pretty close together, those neighbors who did not want to appear on camera say they have smoke damage but luckily since this was put

under control in such a short time nobody else was injured and no other homes were affected. we are told that both of those women were taken to einstein hospital. we're still waiting to hear a condition. for that now reporting live in west oak lane annie mccormick channel6 "action news. back to you. >> thank you annie. an eight-year-old girl is pleading for her dad's killer to turn himself in. he died after being stabbed inside the bleu martini nightclub in olde city early saturday morning. andrew hazelton's family says the attacker stabbed him in the neck with a bottle. it happened while hazelton got caught in the middle of a couple's argument. police are still sorting it out. hazelton's daughter cherish had this message for her dad's killer. >> turn yourself in. and be in jail for the rest of your life. >> and she is seen here with a text to her late father saying daddy, i miss you. >> it was a ride home that changed a drexel university student's life forever. she says an uber driver sexually assaulted her in university city.

the driver she says first dropped off other people and then started touching her. she was able to get out of the car and scream for help. both uber and philadelphia police are investigating. >> it is 5:06. an alarming mailer is causing controversy and raising some eyebrows as it circulates among parents in northampton questioning the safety of liberty high school and urges families to send their teens to a new charter school instead. the advertisement makes reference to a student's drug arrest last year. it then says "why worry about this type of student at school. come visit arts academy charter school. the bethlehem school superintendent is appalled. >> liberty high school students families parents grandparents have gone to liberty high school deserve better than basically a political hit piece that came through the mail. >> officials with the charter school strongly deny that they had anything to do with that flier. the state auditor general insists he's committed to find out who sent that mailer out and why.

>> happening today, jerry sandusky returns to center county court for what could be the final day of his appeals hearing. the former penn state assistant football coach wants his child molestation conviction overturned. he claims his original lawyer didid not adequately represent him. sandusky's new lawyers are focusing on conflicting statements from man who settled a child sexual abuse claim with penn state but did not testify at sandusky's criminal trial. santos key is currently serving a 30 to 60 year sentence. >> president obama will be in southern louisiana today to see the flooding devastation firsthand. it has killed 13 people and left 60,000 homes damaged. >> almost 3,000 people are still living in shelters more than a week after the rains came down. others are still stuck in their neighborhood surrounded by high water. roads including major highways are still closed while the cleanup continues. the devastation according to the red cross is the worst natural disaster since super storm sandy arrived in 2012ly. >> those pictures are hard to

look at. a lot of hurt there as we deal with some incredibly beautiful days. >> yeah we've got another really nice one on tap today. double scan shows you we're dry as we take a look outside we're looking at the arrival of plenty of sunshine a little bit later on. right now it's clear skies over the commodore barry bridge spanning the delaware river near chester. temperatures are cool and comfortable this morning. we're at 64 degrees in philadelphia. 54 in allentown. 56 in reading. a lot of area in the 50's and it's been awhile since we've had numbers like this across the breadth of the region. lots of sunshine on the way so get the sunglasses ready if you're headed out to the highways and by ways across the region and it stays bright today. up in the lehigh valley mostly sunny and pleasant, winds lighter than yesterday. yesterday was real breezy, not so today with that high of 82. down the shore it also looks like another nice one with mostly sunny skies, a high around 80 on most beaches and the ocean temperature currently running 73. low risk of rip currents down

the beach today, too. 82 degrees, mostly sunny and pleasant in philadelphia. there are those winds, much lighter than yesterday and with low humidity it really is going to be another nice one. i was out late yesterday afternoon getting some yard work done and it would be another good day for that today. clear and comfortable overnight dipping to 65 in philadelphia. winds light and variable overnight. over to the tropics we go. it is getting to be the busy season over the next several weeks is typically when we build the action. we've got it right now. tropical depression fiona missing bermuda the way things look at this point. then we have a tropical wave to the east of puerto rico that has about a 60 percent chance of developing into a tropical storm. the name very likely would be hermione unless something else pops up and we've already gotten tropical storm gaston off the coast of africa so let's see where these guys are going. tropical depression fiona looks like it's going to miss bermuda and now just sort of meander a little bit and fall apart into an extra tropical lopes center. we'll see if that moisture

makes land. this depression that could become hermione is also on its way toward the east. this one covering to the spaghetti plot models has most of the tracks going close to the turks caicos and maybe into bahamas pennsylvania also into that florida. some tracks have it going farther north and tropical storm gas stone looks like it's going to grow into a category one hurricane and probably slide up into the central atlantic but that's another one we'll be keeping our eyes on. your exclusive accuweather 7-day forecast today's high 82, sunny and beautiful. tomorrow warmer, 87 but humidity still low. a bit more humid on thursday with a high of 89. and then hot and humid again on friday with a high of 94 degrees and some thunderstorms around in the afternoon and evening. and then behind that front 93 and hot. probably not as humid on saturday. that would be good news for union fans headed to the match saturday night. sunday partly sunny very warm 89 and monday getting even more humid again. i could see that being an oppressive day on monday way thundersrm.

on this tuesday. it is 5:13, 64 degrees, getting up to a nice comfortable 82 later on. >> what's going on matt? >> one word for this weather. ahhh. >> yes, relief. >> love it. it has been great. yesterday was wonderful. today we expect the same but, oh, yeah, i'm here to tell you about what's not so wonderful and it's this. a crash and fuel spill on the schuylkill expressway this morning. this is the westbound direction in king of prussia. crews still out here cleaning up the fuel spill. so the left lane is out of commission. a slow line of traffic westbound in that right lane leaded toward route 202. we'll continue watching this, it's been out here for a little while and it's still out here occupying the left lane as you head toward the pennsylvania turnpike. let's hop on that turnpike. traveling eastbound approaching norristown overnight construction has cleared but farther east past willow grove the left and center lanes are still blocked. traveling westbound there's still work on the off ramp to norristown and then farther west between malvern and

downingtown the right lane is out of commission. northeast extension still some work there. northbound past lansdale right lane belongedy blocked. left lane out northbound approaching the lehigh valley interchange. all of these zones should be clearing shortly but they're not gone just yet n gloucester city camden county watch out for work along 130 northbound close to 42. yesterday a new closure got under way in bear, delaware. howell school road now shut down through early december after we're done eating our turkey. stick with porter road or red lion road to get around that one. time for the commuter report brought to you by the waze app. close to marlton middle school in evesham township watch out for animals on the road near marlton parkway. tam. >> thank you, matt. new on "action news" a nanny cam caught scary video of a thief armed with an assault rifle breaking into a georgia home. police say the thief broke into multiple homes including one where the homeowner was still inside.

barbara lyles sanderson says the man entered through an unlocked door and put a gun to her head. shortly after that police say the suspect hit another residence as well. during that break in the thief was caught on video with a gun in his hands. no one has been arrested. >> this is new on "action news," a 10-year-old boy is talking about how he was chased by police in newark, new jersey, with guns drawn and he didn't commit any crime. legend preston's mom posted this video of him crying following that confrontation. he told our new york sister station wabc that he was playing basketball when the ball went into the street. he went after it and says police chased him down an alley thinking he was a robber they were looking for. >> because they thought that i was -- i put the ball in the street on purpose and they were holding shot guns at he had like this trying to shoot me. >> police stress that officers never pointed a gun at legend in the alley. they arrested a man who bears similarities to the child. >> also new a new jersey teen

suffered serious injuries after a rollercoaster ride at six flags great adventure 19-year-old says she lost a front tooth when she was hit in the face while riding the el toro wooden rollercoaster. she says she's not sure what hit her because it happened so fast. park officials say the teen received immediate medical attention but she disputes that. she says she did not. six flags officials believe the object was a loose article from another rider. on for the second time in less than a week a rollercoaster at hershey park has gotten stuck. 27 riders carefully climbed off the sidewinder yesterday after it stopped working. the steel coaster is known for its twists and turns. no one was hurt and the malfunction is being investigated. on friday another rollercoaster at the park also became stuck mid ride for about six minutes. >> the phillies will visit chicago's south side for the first time since 2004. they opened a two game series with the chicago white socks tonight. carson wentz continues to nurse that rib fracture but he

threw lightly at practice yesterday. went will not play saturday at indianapolis. the eagles have one more preseason game after that and then the season opener against cleveland on september 11th. flyers preseason tickets go on sale. you can get them at 11:00 a.m. on the team's web site. the flyers host the islanders in their home preseason opener on september 27th. their regular season opener is friday october 14th at l.a. this will be the flyers' 50th season. >> it is now 5:18. the former wife of caitlyn jenner is opening up about their relationship. >> the american heart association just released new sugar guidelines for children. we'll break down the numbers next. >> ♪ ♪

road in the great northeast so far so good this morning. nice and dry and quiet. we will see midday construction along woodhaven. the next three days 9:00 until 3:00 they're going to be out roving about blocking the right lane for some overnight sign inspections. so mid days you might also find some delays along woodhaven road. had some people asking me yesterday do we have new schedules at all this week on any of the regional rail lines? no, not so far. they were scheduled to return more cars into service this week. haven't done that yet. they did add some new cars last week, some new trains and new service last week so we'll see as the week progresses if we get new trains but for now we're on the same schedules as last week. are we still live on facebook. >> we still are. >> okay, great. >> hold on a second 'cause i got to do this. all right, 63 degrees 7 o'clock this morning. it's going to be cool and comfortable. 69 degrees by 10:00. by noon 78 degrees and by 3 o'clock, 82. and that actually is going to be your high today, 82 degrees with low humidity. notes much of a breeze as
