yesterday. doesn't look like we're going get any rain today but it will be on the sweaty side. and high temperatures across the region, 89 degrees in allentown, close to 90 in trenton, 90 in reading, 88 in wilmington, 87 in millville and down the shore, it's more like the low to mid 70's. even though these numbers look pretty good on the beach though and that ocean water certainly looks good do remember that we still have looking at that combination of heavy surf and rip currents not only today but probably straight into and maybe even through the holiday weekends. future tracker6 shows you that overnight tonight we've got an issue with a thunderstorm that could rumble through a couple of neighborhoods maybe wake you up and then tomorrow it does look like at times there is the channel of a pop-up shower. most of this will be in the morning in philadelphia if we see it at all. probably over toward the shore if you buy this latest model run with sun coming back in the afternoon north and west but we'll have to keep an eye on that as there is that channel of a lingering shower. in the tropics hurricane gaston now moving away from us as a big category three. tropical depression eight and nine still depressions and not tropical storms yet although
it looks like that will change and we talk about this yesterday. it didn't look like that low pressure center was really going to make it all the way into north carolina. it did not. watches are down there now. but this probably will form into a tropical storm today and again push that on-shore flow on our coastlines producing the heavy surf and rip currents. you got number nine which also becomes a tropical storm slowing down a bit thursday night into friday when it will cut through northern florida. the track is farther north. i don't think orlando and tampa have much to worry about. over the weekend as this goes past outer loop coastline as a tropical storm it does look like it will continue that heavy surf and rip current issue and bend in toward cape cod. if you're planning on going up to new england for the holiday weekends you might want to keep your eyes on that. hatteras will also have problems with that storm this weekend. your seven day 91 is today's high, hot and more humid out there. tomorrow morning showers possible after an overnight thunderstorm. we're hoping for some drying in the afternoon and some brightening skies with lower
