>> and we're doing pretty good isn't we're doing pretty good. tomorrow we may go for another record high. ooh. but it's only one day. storm tracker6 live double scan shows that you we're dry this morning and as we take a look outside we have had a little obnoxious problem with some clouds that have been stubborning hanging over the airport extending up here into channel6. in some areas nearby though you're already looking at clearing and i think these clouds will probably kick out before too much longer but some of you dealing with that. 64 degrees currently in philadelphia. your dewpoint up a little bit today but that 61 isn't bad. it's just barely across the threshold for what we consider humid air and a lot of suburbs are still in the 50's so not that humidly i wouldn't worry too much about that and winds currently are you running calm. as we take a look at satellite, looks like we're clear as a bell, right, but if you look real carefully right in there where it says philadelphia that's the cloud cover developing just over the last hour or so and we'll try and kick it out before too much longer. overall we're expecting it to be mostly sunny across the region today. 63 by 8 o'clock, 71 by
10 o'clock. shady spot for your lunch if you're going to be outside. by 3 o'clock that's your high 85 degrees. a little warmer than yesterday. by 5 o'clock we're down into the he low 80's. that's your 12-hour forecast. kind of warm this afternoon. getting up to the mid 80's in trenton allentown reading wilmington, low 80's in millville and upper 70's down the shore today. for the ball game tonight phillies had a nice one last night against the pirates. clear comfortable for you baseball fans. 76 trees for the first pitch. in the nine ago inning 71. and then tomorrow things change temporarily. cold front comes in. we get a more pronounced southerly flow. that heats us up to about 90 or so and it's going to be more humid during the day too but that front is going to come in trigger a late day evening shower or thunderstorm. behind it things get better again. in case you missed yesterday's noon forecast right before we went on the air tropical storm ian was formed. the good news here, it looks like the storm is going to not strengthen all that much and head off into the north atlantic and miss us and miss
bermuda and miss nothing but the fish. your exclusive accuweather 7-day forecast we've got 85 on your thermometer today sunny and warm not all that humid. tomorrow near record heat with a high of 90 and it will be more humid tomorrow with a late day evening shower or thunderstorm. that zips through. thursday and friday look gorgeous. upper 70's lots of sun low humidity. weekend sun giving way to clouds. 83 is the high. if we get rain it probably isn't until nighttime. that's nice. then sunday looks pretty muggy but the high is only 82, so mostly cloudy a couple of thunderstorms around at times but not terribly hot. monday for now we're going dry. there's only one model that still wants rain to hang around on monday. >> thank you david. >> yeah. >> 6:40. disorder on the dance floor protestors stormed the stage during the premiere of "dancing with the stars." we have brand new video from behind the scenes. >> cooler heads prevail when a school bus bursts into flames with students on board. karen. >> check out this parking lot that we call the schuylkill expressway. literally not moving.
>> 6:43. bad news on the schuylkill expressway. let's go to karen rogers for the update. karen. >> serious accident a multi-vehicle accident causing major traffic delays. this is the schuylkill eastbound and past girard. what we're looking at is an accident right here. we've got a dump truck here. there was a car off to the side. we've got a tractor-trailer here and it's hard to see from this shot but there's a car wedged between the tractor-trailer and the
barrier wall. a number of fire crews on the scene, ambulance on the scene. they've been blocking all lanes on the schuylkill expressway eastbound and we can see a number of emergency workers. it looks like they're trying to get somebody out of that car that's wedged between that tractor-trailer and the barrier wall so that's what's indicating how serious this is and why they've got all these lanes blocked. the ambulance has been here awhile but it hasn't left so no one has been in that ambulance and driving off. it looks like a terrible scene on the schuylkill expressway eastbound and i think the worst of it the concentration of the emergency workers seems to be right on that vehicle that's wedged between the tractor-trailer and the barrier wall so it looks very serious. a lot of people out here trying to deal with this. in the meantime you can kind of see some of the drivers are getting out, they're walking around 'cause they're just literally not moving on the schuylkill expressway eastbound. a major accident blocking all lanes past girard with so many fire crews on the scene trying to assist with this. look at the numbers that we're seeing now. from approaching belmont to
past girard we're looking at 3 miles an hour, 2 miles an hour. you're driving on the schuylkill expressway. and how about the gaper delay even westbound. the accident is eastbound but westbound you're moving about 6 miles an hour. because of that extensive gaper delay now the vine street expressway westbound is jammed. look at the vine. 82 your not moving on the vine and that's because on the schuylkill westbound you're not moving. even though traffic is opened everybody has got to stop and slow down and check it out. so that horrible accident having a lot of repercussions. we can see school buses out here on the vine street expressway they're barely moving as well so it's a real jam and certainly a major accident and a serious accident. now we're looking live at spring garden street by the art museum. we he have been talking about president obama's visit and the delays that that's been causing so at 6:00 a.m. they started shutting town everything around eakins oval and now in just a little bit at 7 o'clock they'll be shutting off traffic with spring garden street and with all the other closures detours coming off of kelly drive, martin luther king drive, spring garden street and by 9:00 a.m. the entire area shut down. but the big story of course is
