taff. we're following breaking news, in wilmington, delaware, as you look live right now, firefighters in shock this morning as they process the death of a fellow firefighter battling a fire overnight in wilmington, the 1900 block of lakeview road this is how it look as the flames destroyed the row home. flames emerged from the top of the row home. many, many firefighters responding to the scene. at some point, the scene became so disruptive, that the house, the roof of the house collapsed at that point we believe one firefighter was killed and two others are in critical condition this morning. and this is how it looked as firefighters did the unthinkable pulling the body of their fellow firefighter from the rubble of that destructive scene. that body is wrapped in an american flag, two others were taken to christiana hospital we believe by helicopter this
morning. they are in critical condition. we know that five people were inside the house when the flames broke out and moments ago we heard from the person who owns the home. >> all my kids running away, fire, fire, the fire started in the basement, we don't know how and we lost everything. >> that was one adult, there were four children inside all of them unharmed this morning that is the good news, but this is the dramatic video as police and first responders provide an escort for the body of the fallen firefighter. we should be clear this morning, we do not know if the firefighter was from the wilmington fire department as several others did respond to the scene, including elsmere and claymont which is known to have a special clams unit. of course the -- collapse unit, of course, the home did
collapse. there were many, many firefighters on scene, we do not know the identity of the firefighter, again, another look this morning as firefighters process their grief, they need standing like this all morning today reflecting on what happened trying to put out the hot spots of that fire, they did see the body emerge from the rubble, many running to help carry the body with respect from the scene, you saw the results of that, we have many, many reportsers and photographers on the scene working to get us the latest information from the devastating breaking news this morning, but, again, one firefighter dead in wilmington, delaware, two others in critical condition as we speak. now to the accuweather forecast. sky6 live hd looking live at atlantic city this morning, you can see some high clouds in the sky, that will help keep things a little bit on the cooler side as we check in with meteorologist chris sowers to tell us what's in store for the weekend. >> reporter: good morning to you brian, if you're just now waking

temperatures since spring. higher elevations in the poconos could see patchy frost first thing monday morning. clouds to start, limited sunshine this afternoon in association with the cold front that's in the process of pushing through. breezy and cool high of 75 degrees. look at the overnight lows first thing tomorrow morning, 45 in allentown. 44 in reading, poconos, 41. philadelphia, 50 degrees, believe it or not it gets colder monday morning, it would not surprise me if places in allentown and the poconos get down to 39 or 40 monday morning. so some cool stuff is on the way, get out and enjoy it. i know a lot of of you have been frustrated with the weather. i hope we're done with the heat and humidity. when i come back i'll show you the cool comfortable week ahead. >> a car crash left a driver in
critical condition. the car flipped over and rolled over at bustleton avenue and county line road in somerton. the driver was flown to hanheman happen. protests are underway in the wake of a shooting of a black man by a black police officer in charlotte, north carolina. these protesters took to the streets in atlanta at that. the wife of the -- atlanta, the wife of the man who was shot released the video of a police stop. >> police told him to drop the gun. >> reporter: he doesn't have a gun, he has a pbi. he has to take his medicine. keith don't let them break the window, come out of the car. >> drop the gun.
>> keith, don't do it. >> drop the gun. >> keith get out the car. keith, don't do it, don't do it, keith, keith, don't you do it. >> police have said they thought keith scott was armed, two image also show a gun not -- image also not far from his body. it's not clear to whom the gun belongs. police say the wife's video does not provide full context of what happened. officers were there to serve a warrant on a different man. 40-year-old terrence crutcher will be laid to rest. he was shot by a white officer in tulsa, oklahoma. court records said he was not able to see any weapons. she shot crutcher when he tried to reach inside the car that
came after her search for the weapon. crutcher had his hands up and video shows the windows of the car were never down. a camden man is behind bars charged in the shooting death of 8-year-old gabby carter. u.s. marshalls took tyhan brown into custody at his uncle's home in tennessee. he fled there after the shooting of gabby in august 24. the mother said he did not believe he intended to kill the little girl and had this to say to him. >> it was an accident i know you weren't trying to harm my child, you know, wrong place at the wrong time. i would have felt more comfortable if the person would have come out just saying that. earlier this month, the police arrested the mother and girlfriend for falsifying alibis and hindering investigation. >> police are asking for your
help identifying a person of interest in the murder of a woman in yeadon. natasha gibson was found dead on bailey road. officials initially thought her boy friend was responsible for her death. now the investigation focuses on a different man seen in a beer store 59th and katherine in west philadelphia. a blood trail led authorities to that scene. now to the race for president. we're two days away from the first debate of the two nominees, a poll shows hillary clinton leading donald trump by 7 points. both candidates are getting rallied for the debate. it will focus on making america secure process -- prosperous and the direction in which our country is running. republican senator ted cruz said he will vote for the
outspoken billionaire. cruz said it's time to stand behind the party's nominee, but did not offer much about why he changed his mind. 3:00 a.m. this morning, dozens of firefighters tackled this blaze in the 1900 block of lake view road in wilmington. we now know that one firefighter is dead. many other are hurt two of them we are told are in critical condition this morning when one floor of that row home you see collapsed with firefighters inside. we have new video just coming in now of what the scene looks like right now. it is light outside, you can see the results of the fire gutting that one building and doing great damage to the structures on either side of it. again, many fire departments and crews turned out this morning from wilmington, elsmere, claymont and elsewhere, the call went out at some point today when it became clear this was not just a fire, but now a devastating scene of destruction and as mentioned one firefighter is dead. there were five people inside the building at the time, four of them children and one an
adult all did get out safely, treated for non-life threatening injuries, believed to be smoke inhalation. this is how it looked as firefighters pulled the body of the deceased firefighter from the rubble. you cannot make it out from this picture, but the body is draped in an american flag and moments after that scene, it gave way to this one, when they loaded that body into an ambulance and that ambulance was escorted down the highway by police and first responders in a show of solidarity a tribute to the life of the officer. i'm told we have new recreation from the scene this morning. >> the fire started in the basement, we don't know how, and we lost everything. oh, my god, everything. i hear one of the firefighter
die in there, i don't know what else i can tell you, because i'm in shock. >> the homeowner telling "action news" the fire started in the basement he believes of his home. he was one person inside, we mentioned there were four children there. that is the body of the firefighter taken from the scene this morning. this is how it looked in the moments after as firefighters stood shocked processing their grief and watching that ambulance pass by, a moment of resignation and shock and grief among the firefighters in delaware this morning, the identity of the deceased firefighter not yet known, not yet made public. we'll get all the details surrounding the tragedy in wilmington this morning. we'll provide them as soon as we get them. in the meantime, we turn to our weather conditions, sky6 live hd looking live outside at

spree inside a maul north of seattle. five people are dead, brian clark has the latest. >> male ran into the women's macy with a long rifle. we're getting multiple calls. >> reporter: by the time all the police cars and ambulances converged on the cascade maul, the gun -- mall, the gunman escaped. he left behind three dead in a shooting spree with no known motive. >> it was more like a shot and two seconds later another shot, you know, so, crazy. >> reporter: the washington state patrol said authorities are searching for this man who walked into macy's and open fired. >> we believe it is one shooter. he was armed with a long gun, we're not getting specific as far as caliber or type of gun. >> reporter: he reportedly fled on foot. the mall 65 miles per hour north of seattle was quickly evacuated. >> reporter: now we have to clear the entire building before we can send ems in.
police set up a mobile command center in the parking lot as the manhunt got underway. we're looking for the shooter, caution people stay indoors and stay secure, if you see something say something. >> reporter: brian clark abc news new york. >> back here this morning, a young man is clinging to life after being shot in the street last night, police are looking for whoever pulled the trigger. this is new video from where the victim wallets -- was found, 4300 block of hunting park. he is in critical condition at temple hospital. investigators are looking for the clues for the motive as well as identity of the shooter. streets in philadelphia will be close to do traffic today, but wide open to pedestrians all part of the philly free streets program. the route goes river to river along south street up along the schuylkill river trail up mlk drive to the fall also bridge. streets in west fairmont park will be closed for activities.

breaking news in wilmington, delaware, this morning, it is one that we had feared and hoped not to report this morning, but a second firefighter has died in wilmington saturday of a house fire overnight there. this is video of one of the firefighters the body being pulled from the rubble draped in an american flag. moments ago, confirmation, a second firefighter has died, a third remains in critical condition. the fire in the 1900 block of lake view road broke out just before, just after 3:00 a.m. this morning. we expect to hear from the police chief at any moment this morning reacting to this horrible and grim news there. again, two firefighters are dead, one in critical condition.
