early. >> hurricane matthew is lashing the bahamas with fierce winds and rain at this hour. the strongest caribbean storm is expected to reach the east coast of florida by tomorrow. people are under evacuation orders in georgia, south carolina and florida. it has left a path of destruction across haiti. we'll keep you updaten on matthew throughout the morning. a drive by shooter shot and killed a woman in west kensington neighborhood. it happened along east sterner street at 7:30. the 47-year-old woman was standings in front of her home with a group of people when a green chevy trail blazer pulled up and the gunman opened fire. >> i heard gunshots, non-stop gunshots. it was crazy and i was scared, because i had my little niece.

>> the victim was hit three times in the head, neck and shoulder. she died at the scene. the green suv was last seen driving on 8th street. police are looking for any surveillance footage that may help in the investigation. the search is on for a gunman who fired into a parked car in allentown killing an 8-year-old boy. johnny lopez was shot and killed friday night. surveil ascertains video captured the moment lopez tried to drive away and careening into a stop sign and garbage can. grief counselors will be at allen wood high school where the teen went to school. tim kaine will visit pittsburgh today after a stop in philadelphia. he addressed a crowd of supporters at the sheet metal union hall on columbus

52 is the overnight low, a few clouds move in overnight. there could patchy fog here or there by tomorrow morning. winds are expected to be light. we take a look at future tracker 6 for friday, starting in the morning and going through the afternoon it's another bright day. occasionally we transition to partly cloudy. tomorrow morning we'll see more clouds form and there could be a sprinkle or shower around, the model has this in the afternoon and over toward the east. it could be placed differently as we go into saturday. this could be technically moisture from matthew, it will be drawn up by a cold front, not the hurricane. speaking of which, matthew is a category 3 and expected to turn into a 4 as it gets closer to the florida coast and make

landfall around cape canaveral. saturday night, looking at a category 2 of a georgia, after that looks like the storm will take the clockwise roll out to sea and degenerate to a tropical storm by monday night and tuesday night. after that it might make a run at the bahamas, but it will be a weaker storm with the second pass. 73 mostly sunny ennice and nice today. tomorrow, 73 another nice day. saturday, 72 degrees. i have the parkens son walk. it will be nice for that and dry. sunday, 66 degrees, mostly sunny and breezy. monday, sunny and cool, tuesday, yom kippur arriving, 67.

risk. new on "action news," an incredibly sad story, a mother in texas believes her son was set on fire by other boys. he was burned so badly he was air will have airlifted to a tes hospital. they were playing in a field when one boy threw gasoline on him and set him on fire. the truth of the awful incident is still under investigation. the trial of a georgia father killing his toddler son will go into recess as hurricane mass thiewt heads toward the u.s -- mass that you heads toward the u.s. they say he intentionally killed his son cooper by leaving him inside a vehicle. attorneys said the death was a tragic accident. the trial is set to ravine on friday. it is expected to last several weeks. a contractor working for the national security administration is under arrest
