precipitation in areas, let's turn to david murphy and karen rogers, good morning. >> reporter: dry this morning, not as cold as yesterday. we have showers in the northern suburbs and getting steadier in northern allentown and northern berks county with the darker shade of green. farther north you see blue toward the poconos. we have a freezing rain advisory until 11:00 a.m., in the poconos, lake harmony and jim thorpe. if you're driving up in the poconos be careful we have icing up there. we have clouds today, out by pittsburgh you see that bulk of rain that will be here this afternoon and start to die down through most of the region not just the northern areas getting the rain right now. 46 degrees no longer in the 30s across the region. in fact we're up to 53 in cape may. in the poconos, 30, 30 degrees, so cooler up there and again, the icing. cloudy skies today here's how it will go, 42 by 7:00 a.m.
54 by noon, high of 58 pretty much the same story by 6:00. the best chance of rain for most of us in the afternoon hours. i'll track the arriving rain on future tracker 6 in just a few minutes. karen, what what do we have on e roads. >> reporter: i-95 at cottman, southbound traffic, building volume but no major delay, that will come later, so not jammed just yet on i-95. this is an area where it is raining. northeast extension southbound the off-ramp to the lehigh valley blocked with the accident. watch for crews on the scene. if you travel farther north up near the poconos you'll get the freezing rain. right here it's rain, and south of here it's rain. but we're watching the freezing rain in the poconos. blue route, 55 near the route 1 media bypass. even the schuylkill expressway 51 miles per hour at the
boulevard. i-95 starting to see areas of slowing like 36 miles per hour near girard, but not a major jam. we have an accident in hunting park involving a police car and another vehicle on its side, broad street at pike street, old york road to avoid any congestion there, matt and tam. >> breaking right now, a violentout burst leaves a woman -- violent outburst leaves a woman dead and another man with a gunshot wounds. annie mccormick anne is live where it happened on the 2600 block of welsh road has the full story. >> reporter: matt, crime scene investigators wrapped up a short time ago, and homicide detectives just left the scene. i want to give you an idea how many gunshots were fired during the time of the this double shooting and homicide last night. it happened around 1:30 a.m. there you can see in the video, you can see that there were at
least two windows, separate apartments that were shot and vehicles, as well. it happened in the 2600 block of welsh road. now the women's body was discovered behind the apartment complex in between two parked cars. a call of shots fired came into police and female victim was pronounced at the scene. police found 12 shell casings and appears the victim and another man was shot at close range. here you can see the video at nazareth hospital police are processing the scene of a minivan that arrived at the hospital. 35-year-old man arrived in the minivan with the gunshot wound to his face and arm. the shooting victim who survived said he was with the woman killed and another man in the apartment complex parking lot when two people walked up and one opened fire. >> preliminary information is that our shooter met with our two victims and the third male
who was not shot back in the parking lot, we're not certain why they met at this location. however, our shooter is described as a male 5'7", 5'8" in height. he weighs 180 pounds and the shooter may live in the immediate area. >> reporter: even though you saw the bullet holes in the windows, we are told nobody in the apartment complex was hurt. the one where you saw all the glass shattered that's vacant, the other one they went inside and check washington, -- with tr and the couch and tv was near where the bullet went through. annie mccormick channel 6 "action news." back to you. >> a philadelphia police officer and another driver were hurt in a cruiser crash in the hunting park session. the collision at north broad and
pike streets caused the civilian vehicle to flip on its side. that briefly trapped the driver. the female officer was responding to a burglary call when she crashed. they are both in stable condition. a villanova university student is at the center of a massive investigation involving hidden cameras and child pornography. 19-year-old vincent kane surrendered to police. it started a month ago when they found a hidden camera in a bathroom where he is a part-time student. >> he was a quiet kid and didn't say much. >> reporter: detectives found a hard drive in the broomall home with 51,000 similar images and videos some taken at cardinal

police say 35-year-old man arrived at the hospital with a gunshot wound to the face and arm. he said he was with the woman who was killed and another man in the complex parking lot when two people walked up and opened fire. the homicide victim was found in between two parked vehicles, the other than came outside -- the owner came outside and this is what she had to say. >> i see blood on my car, and bullet holes all over, what is going on? >> the homicide detective spent a lot of time at nazareth questioning the man who did survive, but shot twice in the face and alarm. he was able to -- left arm. he was able to give information about the third man and the

breaking news coming in right now arc 6-alarm fire is burning on manhattan's upper east side. this is coming in from new york city. it broke out on the top floor of the buildings east 93rd street. one person was killed and two others injured. we learned from the live coverage, firefighter used the rope to rescue someone from the structure, as they were going back down, the rope caught fire and they got town to safety just in time. quite a mess and situation on the upper east side of manhattan where a building is on fire. >> highly residential section of new york city, that's very frightening. >> let's go over to karen rogers and see about the commute this morning. >> reporter: this is southbound traffic on i-95 trying to head toward center city.
a 28-minute jam from woodhaven to the vine because of an accident on i-95 southbound at cottman so you're jammed from woodhaven to the tacony-palmyra an extra slow go on i-95 southbound. getting new information on this accident, this is the northeast extension southbound, the off-ramp to the lehigh valley was blocked, but now they have pushed it off on the shoulder, so traffic is moving. but it's wet and there's a traffic on the ramp, be careful on the northeast extension. popular and elm street and washington, we have a car stuck on the tracks. it's not only creating a problem with congestion in the area, the norristown line with septa is running 30 minutes late. earlier was 20 minutes late, we have updated it to 30 minutes. i tweeted that out, so be careful of that. an accident west chester pike in
haverford, we're seeing slowing in the area and traffic moving 13 miles per hour west chester pike. storm tracker 6 live double scan we're looking at showers even in the immediate area we're seeing them near the city right now. we want to go up north this is the area, we have the freezing rain happening in the poconos, scranton, lake harmony, mountain pocono, freezing rain if you're traveling north of i-80. starting to get wet in malvern, willow grove and doylestown. >> brand new a houston area man said a tow truck driver took his ride out without his permission. the tow truck driver had no idea that a dash camera was rolling. he unloaded it at his house and driving around with his friends. owner of the car had it towed to a dealership on sunday, it didn't get there until monday. after that the tow company called to apologize.
