racist graffiti vandal left behind in his north jersey home. >> good morning, everybody, karen rogers is off, we have matt pellman and david murphy has the chilly weather. >> reporter: we've been talking about this all week, we have sunshine for most of the day, clouds will move in, we'll call it mostly sunny. 31 degrees as you step outside this morning in philadelphia. 30 in allentown. and trenton, still just 29 degrees in reading. we've just slid to 29 in wilmington and millville. 33 in cape may. that's not the end of the story. winds moving through in the teens and low 20s that's giving temperatures feeling like 21 in philadelphia. upper teens in reading, wilmington and millville. in lancaster it feels like 15. if you're in the poconos you're greeted by a windchill of nine, very raw out there. windy and cold the rest of the day today.

questioned by police. he was arraigned charged in the death of his own mother on lower hill top road. neighbors say the mother and son lived there alone. they were called there after zachary copy wearing shorts and flip flops stopped a car and told the driver he killed his mother. officers found the body of rebecca cope inside the kitchen at 3:00 p.m. >> it was apparent she suffered blunt trauma to the head and stab and cuts wounds to her body. >> i'm shocked i wouldn't think anything like this would happen. he seemed like a nice guy. >> at this point there's no word on what may have prompted the attack. cope is being held without bail. live in lower makefield township. katherine scott channel 6 "action news." >> happening today, a federal judge will hold a hearing in center city on whether to begin

a presidential recount in pennsylvania. green party nominee jill stein insists the voting system is vulnerable and hackable and antiquated. a judge in michigan recently halted that state's recount. a similar motion goes before the courts in wisconsin today. >> president-elect trump continued his thank you tour in des moines iowa. he will eliminate regulations that hurt small farms and businesses. trump's pick to head the department of labor puzder said increased minimum wage will lead to job cuts. earlier in the day, donald trump met with the victims of

the attack of many on campus. while there, word came of the passing of john glenn. president obama described him a man who lifted the hopes of the nation. he was a marine and spent 24 years in the u.s. senate. public events are being planned in ohio before his burial at arlington national cemetary. john glenn died yesterday, he was 95 years old. it was a night of tribute and night of grief for new jersey state trooper frankie williams, hundreds gathered in front of the leesburg fire department in maurice river township. his mother attended the candle light vigil to honor his memory. >> i love the way you care for my son, i appreciate what you have done for me, every time i fall down, you pick me back up. thank you. >> investigators say 61

that are not totally locked down might wiggle a little bit for you. right now they are making snow and why not it is cold enough for that and then some. the temperature in philadelphia is 31 degrees. the wind out of the west at 13 miles per hour. up at spring mountain you're in the upper 20s this morning. most importantly with the strong wind and temperature the windchill is making it feel like 20 degrees or the upper teens in just about every neighborhood this morning. bundle up, coat, scarves, all that extra stuff, hats and gloves. as we look, we have cloud cover off to the north and west with lake-effect snow pushing across the border from new york. we'll go with an optimistic sunny forecast. some clouds building in later on. the big story how windy and cold it will be.

30 degrees by 8:00 a.m. 32 by 10:00 a.m. noon, 36. high of 39. the windchill will be in the teens and upper 20s this afternoon. high temperature, 39 in philadelphia. trenton and allentown. about 40 in reading, wilmington and millville and cape may. again, you cut ten degrees off these temperatures you will get what it feels like. here's a chart showing that to you, new model in over the last hour or so, shows 17-degree windchill by 8:00 a.m. in the morning. at the height of the afternoon in philadelphia, feels like 28. it will be raw if you're heading out tonight for a movie or dinner or something else. for the weekend, saturday is dry, sunday a build up of clouds. sunday afternoon into monday morning there's a chance of precipitation, most of this at night into monday morning. looks like this will be mainly rain as warm air beneath the warm front pushes across the region.
