most of us are dry, there are showers moving east of baltimore popping through central new castle county, delaware and northern berks county, so some of us will get wet this morning. there's additional shower activity that will slide south of philadelphia as we head to midday and early afternoon. creek we can see things clouding up, too, i do expect the return of sunshine later today. 65 degrees currently in philadelphia. so it's very mild to start out. 56 degrees in allentown. 63 in reading. 67 in wilmington, 66 in trenton. and even 60 in cape may. winds are light out there. as we roll through the day, it does get mild again. not as warm as easter, but warm. 69 degrees by noon, 74 degrees we'll hit that at 4:00 p.m. and hold 70 by 7:00 p.m. tonight. the pollen count is running high today in fact for the next several days, keep that in mind,

the murder capped a violent weekend in the city. jennifer joyce has more. >> reporter: mass it was a violent easter weekend with police investigating 15 separate shootings. that violence continued this morning. hours ago we are hearing of two separate shootings one of the people is dead this morning. just hours ago police say a 27-year-old man was shot in the chest in southwest philadelphia along the 2200 block of felton street. the man was pronounced at the scene. another shooting in the feltonville section. two men extra woman arrived in a private vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds at temple hospital. they were told an unknown man shot them in a confrontation in east wick hocken street.

15 others were shot two others were dead. their killers are on the loose. the map shows the shootings took place across the city. handguns were used in each case. no arrests were made. >> we had numerous shootings over the weekend, summertime is coming, warm weather today, you know, we get shootings that peak and valley during the warm weather, but we have, we have enough police out here to respond to any of these assignments. >> reporter: homicide count is up so far this year about 13% compared to this time last year. now police commissioner, said this is a deadly mixture of poverty, gums and lack of conflict solving skills. reporting live at police headquarters, jennifer joyce channel 6 "action news." >> developing overnight, police in new castle county are searching for the gunman who

shot a 15-year-old boy. it happened at 11:00 p.m. in edgemore. 911 calls led officers to the scene where they found the 15-year-old shot in the stomach. he was rushed to christiana hospital in critical condition. no arrests have been made and no word on what sparked the shooting. firefighters pulled a person from a fast fast-moving house fire in montgomery county. it broke out on the 2700 block of besser lane. the victim was rushed to abington hospital. no word on their condition or what sparked the fire. destructive forest fires continue to keep florida firefighters busy. there are 110 active fires covering 120,000 acres. they pan from georgia border to miami. officials say their attention is focused on two fires in central

florida. dramatic video shows a car in a parking lot submerged by floodwaters. cincinnati, ohio was hit by severe thunderstorms heavy rain and hail. in some neighborhoods in the region, floodwaters reached over 6 feet high. ohio got 3 inches of rain and wind gusts up to 40 miles per hour. meteorologist warned the impact the storm would have in southwest ohio, southwest indiana and kentucky. >> i wonder how many people put on the air-conditioning yesterday. >> reporter: ours came on, but i thought let's not do that just yet. we're dry in the area, if we go in tighter you can see light sprinkles and showers pushing toward new castle county, delaware. another batch north of harrisburg that could be making its way toward northern berks county and allentown so spotty

shower activity around during the morning commute. as we look outside, we have sky6 live hd, center city, looking okay here. drier conditions for the first part of the morning commute. temperatures are mild, 65 in the city. 67 in wilmington, 56 degrees in allentown. up in the cooler suburbs up north it feels failure comfortable. 66 in millville. trenton and 60 in cape may. cloud cover shows you it's extending back through pittsburgh. there are showers out there. looks like this batch will come through in the morning. this survives in the southern part of the region into the afternoon. future tracker 6 shows you between 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. there's a chance of showers popping through, we hope it pushes to the south quickly this afternoon, although the farther south you are toward the shore there's a possibility it lingers into the afternoon. 73 in the lehigh valley, clouds and sun, mild afternoon, dry up

north. down the shore there's a chance of spotty shower at times. clouds perhaps mixing with sun otherwise, and 72 degrees there. in philadelphia, clouds in the morning, sun in the afternoon, a spotty shower can't be ruled out and 74 is the high. it's breezy at times, too. right now the winds are not that bad, but later in the day they could pop up a bit. overnight 49 degrees the overnight low, partly cloudy skies, initially with more and more clearing toward morning, the winds dieing down, the suburbs going down into the low to mid 40s. 48 degrees in philadelphia. as we head in the afternoon, 3:00 p.m., 3:30 p.m. we are getting into the mid 60s and low 60s in spots. the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast, 74 today, clouds and sun arc spotty shower can't be ruled out. tomorrow, 65, late-day shower possible.

gunfire being fired at coney island amunicipality park set off a -- amusement park set off a stampede. several people were hurt from the chaos. authorities insist no shots were fired. this comes two days after a gun report went over at penn station caused a similar panic. a brawl inside a walmart sent a person to the hospital and one to jail. witnesses say two women were arguing right before fists flew, their husband's jumped in and one was knocked unconscious and suffered serious injuries, another man was arrested and charged with battery. some bank robberies wear elaborate disguises, as you can see not this woman she has been robbing banks wearing pajamas,

place to live. good morning, everybody 5:30 a.m., april 17. tam is off, nydia han joins us. >> i hope you had a nice weekend. >> reporter: we're rolling out of a warm sunday, it was beautiful out there, i hope you had a chance to enjoy it. we've mild conditions and change is building in from the west. some coming in from maryland and eastern shore and heading into new castle county delaware. there's stuff that will make a chance running at us later. you can see showers falling a part by pottstown. it's possible that some of the light showers make it through northern berks and perhaps the lehigh valley later this afternoon. as you look wider on storm tracker 6 live or satellite and radar, i should say there's additional shower activity by pittsburgh. that should be on the way in. generally speaking we're looking at spotty activity in the morning and clouding up later in the morning.
