new things so yes that should be included tam absolutely. coma little bit of cloud cover over by the coast. you see that on satellite. overall we're expecting to to py skies. 72 degrees under building sunshine in philadelphia. allentown has actually slipped to 59 cool and comfortable degrees right now. 60 in reading and upper 60's through much of south jersey. the dewpoints are still a little bit high down south but they are beginning to dip. we have some numbers up above 70 a little while ago. still a little humid across south jersey and most of delaware but gettiwe go throughs we run through the day it also gets warm again. 72 degrees by 7 o'clock, 84 by noon and by 3 o'clock 87 degrees, that's your high. we're back down to 78 by 7 o'clock, partly sunny skies, a spotty afternoon shower can't be ruled out and it has arrived. today is the summer solstice. it officially rang in at 12:24 a.m. that was the exact moment that

watch for delays. we're already seeing that begin with an accident that just happened a minute ago eastbound on the vine as you travel just past broad street. also this water main break causing some big issues here in cheltenham. they had to shut down mount carmel avenue between houston and tyson so you could stick to jenkintown avenue or glenside avenue instead but one of the issues is also septa's regional warminster line can only travel about 10 miles an hour over mount carmel avenue because of this so we'll see some delays with that as well, tam. >> okay, thank you, are still on the scene more than 12 hours later after dangerous chemical explosives were found inside a bucks county home. overnight the shelter-in-place order for nearby residents was lifted. the action cam is still there live on the 8700 block on easton road in ottsville. bomb teams and hazmathe night to dismantle a.m. cache of weapons and explosives. our dann cuellar was filing a report when this happened. >> reporter: it's unclear if

the materials -- whoa. >> quite a boom there. it is believed that at that moment officials were performing a controlled detonation. "action news" reporter katherine scott has been following all the latest developments and she brings them to us now live in the satellite center. good morning, katherine. >> reporter: good morning, tam. and this morning the house remains closed off but nearby roads have reopened. so, they have been making progress. authorities are speaking with the resident and so far it's too early to know if any charges will be filed. let's go to video from that scene in ottsville bucks county. this all started yesterday on the 8700 block of easton road when authorities were serving a mental health commitment warrant on a 70-year-old man. that's when officials uncovered chemical explosives and a large number of weapons and ammunition on the property. you could see responding units wearing protect tiff gear. they removed weapons, boxes and boxes of ammunition and

what was said to be a explosive liquid chemicals. they also took materials from a back shed. you can hear periodically controlled detonations. some neighbors say they were told to shelter-in-place. >> my dad called me and he's part of the fire department. he told me that something was going on, to stay inside, no no-no not go out. >> it's a little nerve wracking. i don't know what's going on but we need to get out of here. >> reporter: and state police remain on the scene this morning. authorities say there's still work left to do today. live in the satellite center katherine scott, channel6 "action news. >> katherine thank you. new this morning, the certain is on for a schuylkill county man accused of killing his father. pennsylvania state police issued a warrant for michael marchock. his father was found dead in his ryan township home on monday. police have not said how marchock was killed but an autopsy is that scheduled for today. >> it is 6:05 and an executive

at a nursing home will be back on the stand today to testify against philadelphia district attorney seth williams. after opening statements kathleen defrees took the stand. she was asked questions about money that williams allegedly spent on himself instead of on his mother's healthcare. williams is accused of taking more than $20,000 that was actually earmarked for his mother. he faces 29 federal criminal charges including bribery and corruption. the defense argues williams has made mistakes but thathat constitutes criminal activity. we could soon learn the identities of the jurors involved in the bill cosby sexual assault trial. this morning the judge will decide whether their names should be released to the montgomery county d.a. kevin steele says he fears releasing their names could have a negative impact on future jurors needed for cosby's retrial. cosby's attorneys also oppose the release of the names. lawyers for several media outlets argue the juror's names should be public to ensure transparency in the

just 59 cool degrees in allentown. cooler up north but down south a little bit milder an bit more humid the farther we go down through south jersey and delaware although that situation is improving. cloud cover across the southern tier clears out fairly quickly this morning. as we head into the afternoon you see on future tracker6 where there's a chance of pop-up showers and thunderstorms by 2, 3, 4 o'clock in the northern and western suburbs. late in the day and early evening some of that may survive down into the i-95 corridor and then it looks like most of it's off theo'cloc. so, not a lot of rain out there later today and tonight but some spotty stuff. lehigh valley's forecast then partly sunny overall with a possible passing spottydershowes the high. not all that humid during the afternoon certainly. even now. 82 at the shore a-little sticky in the morning, probably less so as were he go through the day. ble andsunny and pleasant with partly sunny, not very humid in philadelphia, a high of 87 degrees and again late in the afternoon or early evening

in about 30 minutes. instead, prince charles will attend. >> we wish him well. hope he's out of the hospital soon. let's go to karen rogers taking a look at your traffic. good morning. >> that's right. good morning. you see the flashing lights behind me. we have ambulance police even fire crews on the scene with this accident. just happened on the vine street expressway a little bit ago. this is east of broad street so watch for this blocking the right lane and if you have the right lane blocked on the vine, you know it's going to cause problem. eastbound slowing past broad street where you see that ambulance fire crews police a number of emergency officials blockient on the vine street expressway. on the big picture schuylkill westbound between city avenue and 202 construction will block one lane today from 9:00 until 3:00. yesterday it was eastbound. today and tomorrow it's westbound with that construction. also we have a concert at 7:05. the phils play and a concert at 8 o'clock at bb&t pavilion. lots of reasons for some congestion a little later on this evening. let's take a look right now in

rolled down a new york city block hitting several parked cars before crashing in front of a church. this happened just before 1:00 a.m. this morning in brooklyn. the driver had just gotten out of the bus. i think they forgot to put it in park when it began to roll. one man suffered minor injuries when he jumped out of the way. changes are coming to pennsylvania driver's licenses. penndot released details about the changes that will take place this year. the agency says the new design has more to do with security enhancements. they'll feature is larger primary portrait and smaller ghost portrait. there will be a 2d bar code laminated with a special pattern with the state's motto virtue liberty and independence. however these i.d.'s not real i.d. compliant. the state will not be releasing those until 2019. >> uber's founder is out as ceo. >> travis kalanick resigned. his departure follows a series

philadelphia, a little bit on the warm side. take a look at satellite. re a south we have thicker couple showers popping up along the coast. if we go in tighter on storm tracker6 live double scan you can see some of this is is covering llewes delaware and up into cape may. it is shooting past you though and probably pushing off the coast be give it another couple hours and we'll see if we can't brighten things up. 72 degrees in philadelphia. how about allentown and reading, much cooler, 59 degrees, comfortable conditions in allentown, 60 in reading. little warmer down south. the dewpoints are still on the high side down south as well but these numbers are beginning to dip a little bit and like yesterday we expect the humidity levels to drop. anything over 60 is considered at least a little side and we'vt temperatures or dewpoints anyway that are indicating well more than a little bit of humidity in the south right now t as we go through the day, 72 by 7 o'clock. 84 by noon. your high today is 87 degrees at 3 o'clock with partly sunny skies. then later this afternoon we'll be on the lookout for a spotty pop-up shower or thunderstorm in a few places.

township police are looking for a older model mazda protege. a driver struck a 53-year-old woman on route 30 on sunday, then fled the scene. the victim is in critical but stable condition. the sedan will likely be missing a mirror on the driver's side. anyone with information should contact police. and police are searching for four brazen bandits who pulled off a double burglary off -- of a delaware county family. detectives say the four men first ransacked the family's home in broomall. inside they grabbed keys to the family's store in southwest philadelphia and broke in there as well. police believe the suspects watched and followed the family in the days leading up to the burglary. community and just, you know, steal what my dad has worked so hard for, it's just -- it hurts me, you know. it hurts us. >> and you are asked to call police if you recognize the men in the surveillance pictures. >> republicans held onto a hotly contested congressional seat in georgia.

there. the heavy rain means a high risk of flash flash flooding, especially for new orleans and southern mississippi. many schools, camps and government offices will be. >> uh-huh. >> let's turn now to dave murphy to talk about the weather around here. actually to start summer it's pretty beautiful. >> yeah, we're looking at a stretch of some pretty decent weather and there's some improvement for the forecast for the weekend. storm track sticks life double scan right now shows us that we are virtually dry. there are a couple of light sprinkles and showers popping up through coastal cape may county and coastal delaware. as we take a look outside we are looking at sunshine across most of the region. that includes center city philadelphia. we are also on at the warm side. temperature right now is 72 degrees now. if you're up in allentown you're looking at 59 right now, so cooler in the northern suburbs but mild in the city. dewpoints still up there at 67 but it's dropping. winds out of the south-southwest at 6 miles per hour. once we get that dewpoint down all that humid. maybe just a tad humid this morning. future tracker6 shows you the
