the wrong way. hit the dump truck and caught fire around 3:00. you can see the vehicle smoking even though the fire is out. investigators remain on the scene trying to get things investigated and cleaned up here. coming back out to the maps. you want to exit 55 northbound by the time you get to landis avenue and stay local on vineland through 47 or delsea drive instead. a couple of spots police activity this morning on the boulevard by the acme, the other in southwest philadelphia at woodland and 50th, i would stick with springfield and 49th to get around that. the vine street expressway, looking good this morning, no overnight construction overnight closures resume next week. this week you're without them, traffic moving so far so good. >> a mother is reunited with her young daughter after a tense night.
a repo man made off with her minivan, but her child was asleep on the back seat. katherine scott is in southwest philadelphia trying to figure to determined what happened with the chain of events. luckily, the child was not hurt. she slept through the entireyouy what could have happened if the minivan was towed to a minivan and left there, if the child woke up and wandered around are their guard dogs in the lot. the 26-year-old mother is sitting with her 7-year-old daughter. police say it unfolded at 2:30 a.m., the mother ran into her job at 45th and chestnut. while inside a repo tow truck driver arrived who had been tracking the gps in the car. he had the paperwork to repossess it. he hooked up the minivan not
knowing that the girl was asleep under a blanket in the last row. he said people started yelling there was a kid in the car, he thought they were lying. he turned the corner and got out and checked and still didn't see them lying there. >> the vehicle to me appears unoccupied. there are two car seats in the t i could see from the mirror of my truck. i don't have to get out of my truck to hookup a car. >> tow truck drivers should not just pull up a vehicle and tow it from any scene not knowing if any people are inside. what if somebody is under the work or doing work on the car or changing a tire. >> meanwhile, the mother called police, the description of the car and tow truck went out and it was stopped ten blocks later by police at 50th and woodland in southwest philadelphia. an officer spotted the child. police say the special victims unit is investigating why the child was left alone in the car
