southwest. the actual center of the storm is over northern west virginia and what this will do is track to the south and then move up the coast as a coastal storm and that will bring parts of our viewing area heavy rain. it's raining right now in delaware, beginning to move n isolated pop-up over the poconos but this is a storm system that's really going to be focusing its moisture on areas to the south. so a flash flood watch is in effect through saturday afternoo this has changed since yesterday. the national weather service has basically taken out the counties north of the pennsylvania turnpike, so real the heaviest weather will be areas farther to the south really closer to the center of that low pressure. that low pressure has shifted a little bit farther to the south. so, these are the latest details on the accuweather alert. delaware and south jersey will be the hardest hit areas and unfortunately these are the same areas that get that very heavy rain last weekend. widespread flash flooding. we're looking at south of
philadelphia, two to 4 inches of rain, locally could get more than 4-inches especially areas that get some thunderstorms. so impact scale shows tonight 10 o'clock, 3 o'clock in the morning, 7 o'clock, this is the highest impact. this is when we'll be seeing the heaviest rain. then the rain begins to taper off by mid morning, low by 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon. the second half of the week looks better than the first. details in the full accuweather forecast. line. >> let's turn to "action news" reporter trish hartman live in atlantic city. trish you talked to some beachgoers today. some are ready to wait out the storm but quite a few others are changings been a mix, brian. we're here in atlantic city. no rain just yet. it is overcast and the winds are starting to pick pup. i'll show you behind me, people are still out on teople e packing it in. we've seen a couple people head back out to the beach. atlantic county officials are tell your plan and leave town just

he allegedly murdered possibility of robert depaul and his girlfriend dempsey. he admitted to shooting is the couple in the head outside oftr. now, he claimed he was acting in self-defense and was originally released by police. right now though he is back in police custody. >> we have an update to a story we first told you about as breaking news here last night. wilmington police have now charged a man with attempted murder following an officer-involved shooting. 23-year-old jonathan dry burg is suspected of stealing a woman's purse along the 1100 block of west dover road. as police tried to stop him nearby they exchangeed gunfire with him who then took off running. investigators say more shots were fired during the foot chase. offi him. he was treated for a broken ankle. police also arrested 19-year-old kevin palela and a 16-year-old girl both accused

avenue where that truck has gotten stuck beneath that bridge which as you can see is obviously used by trains. now, it's used by njwhh hasn't l word on how this might impact the afternoon commute as far as train travel goes but as our chopper heads a little bit to the right here you can see that one train is in fact stopped on the tracks right now. we're told that there is damage to that bridge. no injuries on the ground but again, that bridge is damaged so obviously this will have some impact on train travel here again nj transit this at river road near derousse avenue in pennsauken new jersey. we'll keep watching this and bring you any official road from nj transit as we get it. >> ♪ >> well, it stood the test of time but now camden high school is facing demolition. the hill to come down and make way for a new katrina mccombs is the deputy. >> inside we're dealing with >> ♪ >> reporter: the 2017 graduation class is the final group of students to earn their diplomas from the historic building. the plan is to replace the aging structure with a $133 million state of the art facility at the same location. well, it sounds like a great on. >> there are two objectives. >> reporter: keith vincent is president of the camden part of a lawsuit aimed at stopping the demolition of the school. >> this is on 18 acres. th back. put the new school back there. >> reporter: deputy superintendent mcc new construction is about the future of students. >> my question is why is it that our students in camden should not have lights and access to the top utmost best facility.he's not opposed to a w school but wants to see a plan keeping the iconic building

more than a dozen felony charges today for allegedly insurance fraud alleged insurance fraud and identity theft. a grand jury indicted 53-year-old carl mcintosh from wilmington. over two years the doctor is accused of submitting claims for office visits that never happened by using patients' personal information without them knowing. mcintosh is accused of receiving more than $100,000 in reimbursements. >> the ohio state fare is starting to reopen some attractions following wednesday's deadly accident. the fire ball ride broke apart in midair killing a teenager and injuring seven others since then 28 low rides in the children's area have been given the all-clear to start running again this afternoon. more than half of the state fare's rides w closed until they can be reinspected. >> north korea has done it again. the u.s. navy says north korean leader kim jong un

light showers over new castle lancaster county and the steadiest rain right now is over southern delaware and this is all gradually movingth t and this will be overspreading our region as we head through the evening hours. today, though, with some of the sunshine, temperatures did manage to make it up into the mid 80's in philadelphia. currently it's 86 degrees, allentown 84, trenton 85 and win currently 80 degrees. satellite and radar showing kind of the big picture. the center of the storm system is over northern west virgin would be exiting the coast over northern virginia. now it will be exiting off the coast of southern virginia so that means reallythe heaviest rg to the south so future tracker showing 11 o'clock tonight we've got a steady moderate to line in philadelphia but some heavy downpours over kent down delaware. tomorrow in the wee hours of
the morning still pouring in portions of south jersey and delaware but as we head through the day it does get better. lots of clouds, some lingering showers along the shore. at 9 o'clock in the morning and then the clouds will gradually break for some late day sunshine on saturday and sunday is looking really good. the problem is the rain is falling on already saturated ground and you can see future tracker showing the rainfall amounts, how really the focus wi and delaware, two to 4 inches expected there, philadelphia probably about an inch of rain. so, south jersey and delaware is where we really have the highest risk of some localized flooding so what this means overnight tonight early tomorrow morning, roads and streams a high risk of flash flooding there t-low lying areas, areas that typically flood could flood again, creeks and streams major rivers only a moderate risk of flooding. looks like this will be more of a small river event. the four day at 4:00 showing tomorrow not a pretty day but if you're patient i think we'll see some sunshine breaking out especially west of philadelphia late in the day a high 76, after clouds

the county prosecutor tells me this morning someone showed up with a loaded 357. not good.a muchanic channel6 "action news." brian. >> all right, nora, thank you. the search is on right now for two men who's faces were caught on camera just before police say a 57-year-old woman. the men can be seen walking along the 1600 block of sansom street in philadelphia's cobbs creek neighborhood. once out of frame, police say they grabbed the woman, then stole her handbag. the men then fled on foot before getting into a white car and driving off. if you know who these guys you're asked to contact philadelphia police. >> police in bucks count identia possible child predator. officials in yardley borough released this sketch of a man who allegedly approached two boys fishing at lake aston on july 17th. the suspect who had another child with him reportedly asked the boys to get into his car so that they could fish
somewhere else. the man left when the children refused. if you have any information on the luring suspect you're asked to call police. a delaware woman is accused of stealing more than $27,000 from a local booster club. 42-year-old stephanie trimmer was the president of the boy's high school lacrosse booster club in the cape henlopen school district. the detectives say she wrote checks out to herself for cash from the account until there was nothing left. trimmer was arrested yesterday and charged with felony theft. scery right in the middle of olde city philadelphia. coffins filled with human remains on the site of the future apartment complex. well now officials say some of the bones have up and disappeared. sleeping but there's really a tremendous gradient across our region as far as how much rain. areas north of philadelphia less than an inch but up to about 4-inches to the south, so the focus of the heavy rain and the potential for flash flooding is over delaware and southern new jersey, same area that got the heavy rain last weekend but the good news is the weekend is not a washout. sunday high pressure builds in and that will be a gorgeous day. so we really just have to make it through tonight. so double scan live showing we're beginning to see some of that moisture streaming in. south jersey and delaware we have a few showers, cape may right now reporting some light showers. also we have a steadier rain across kent county delawarene cd that rain is pretty heavy and that's beginning to lift up to the north and the east. but today we did see some sunshine and with that temperatures made it up to 86 degrees in philadelphia. allentown and reading. actually a pretty nice day. 84 trenton, 85 you can see the
areas getting some of the showers and the thicker clouds, cooler cape may 77 and dover also 77. the center of the storm system is over west virginia. it's tracking to the south. it should be moving off the coast of probably in the wee hours of the morning so future tracker showing 11 o'clock tonight this is when we dollar do get some heavy downpours. south jersey and delaware that's the area that will see the heaviest rain. tomorrow morning around 5 o'clock still some heavy rain along the coast and parts of southern and central delaware but as we head through the day, it begins to improve. we begin to get drier air mixing in so 11 o'clock in the morning lots of clouds, a few scattered showers, nothing heavy. by late in the day around 5:30 i think we'll still have a a lot of clouds along the coast and future tracker does show that but areas west we likely will see some peeks of sunshine and then sunday and remo builds in and that will really dominate our weather much of next week. bright sunshine, beautiful,
