live on the ben franklin bridge, no problems here, yesterday we were jammed on the ben. very light volume, no big issue on the bridges. racial tensions are simmering at a high school in gloucester county, katherine scott has more. >> reporter: some parents took their kids out of school early yesterday, they are worried about tension flaring over once again. the district says he has been working with students and teachers at the school, he said he is trying to contain the problem and suspended a number of students for fighting and antiblack social media postings. >> reporter: this was the text thread laced with the "n" word that was the source of confrontation at the gloucester county high school. >> i guess a kid must have felt bad or scared for what he said.

>> using the "n" word in the text message. >> reporter: school officials say the hallway scuffle stemmed from racial tensions sparked by members of the football team. 8 students were involved in the incident. three spoke to "action news." they said they never resorted to violence and they were suspended. >> all we did was get in their face saying why did you say that. >> reporter: there was a silent protest staged by students. naacp is working with the district to provide cultural training for staff and students. last night parents and students voiced their concerns at the district for emergency meeting. >> going around the school and calling people. [ bleep ] talking about their racial skin color it's not the first time. >> school should be a place where your child is safe. as a parents, when you send your

marker 39 between lansdale and quakertown interchangeses. two people were hurt, none of the injuries appear to be life threatening. the man accused of a shooting rampage across two states is in jail on a 2 million-dollar bond. radee labeeb prince, say he killed two and drove to delaware and shot an acquaintance. the delaware attorney general office said he had 200 felony arrests and more than that in the state of washington. >> this guy had no business being on street posing a threat or taking lives. this is an individual by all looks at the record should have been behind bars. prince pleaded not guilty to murder and attempted murder charges. 5:06 a.m., camera johnson is charged with a vicious attack

on a woman in delaware county. he robbed and sexually assaulted a woman in her 60s while armed in the shotgun. the victim was accosted walking to the bus stop in chester. a woman stole a strangers car with a child in claymont. the driver left the keys and her child in the store on wednesday. the child escaped when he realized what was about to happen and jumped out the car. the police are looking for the thief and vehicle with delaware license plate 245559. >> happening tonight, the sixers are hoping to get their first win of the season at the home opener. joel embiid and the rest of the team will host the celtics at the wells fargo center. the sixerses had a a lot of positive moments -- had a lot of
