others before shot and killed by a off-duty deputy's sheriff. >> reporter: it was about 7:00 local time when a man crashed a vehicle outside a home in taunton, massachusetts. about 40 miles south of boston. >> after the crash, the individual, who has been identified as arthur darosa, 28 of taunton, exited his vehicle and gained access to a home at 270 mirror street in taunton. once inside, he stabbed two women. >> reporter: one of the victims, age 80, died. a short time later, the suspect crashed a car into a store at a nearby shopping mall. >> we saw the car jolt right in and after that, my mom said hurry up and we went the other way. it happened the fastest thing y by. >> reporter: once inside, authorities say darosa assaulted several people and one died. >> i was

i didn't know what was going on. everybody started running, including the employees. so we started running. >> reporter: off-duty sheriff's deputy shot the assailant and was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead. >> it appears the actions of the deputy there may have been other victims. >> reporter: police don't believe terrorism was the actual motive for the attack. the actual motive is under investigation. bernie sanders captured the west virginia primary last night taking 16 delegates to hillary clinton's 11. it forces clinton to continue a costly and long battle. the vermont senator remains a distant second in the delegate hunt. he told a packed oregon crowd he's in the fight until the end. >> this week, we won a really great victory in indiana. and, tonight, it appears tha

country's most prominent white nationalists and they say the inclusion was due to a database error despite the campaign formally choosing its delegates. johnson has said since he would withdraw his selection as a trump delegate but a spokesperson for the california secretary of state says johnson will remain on the trump campaign's certified list heading to cleveland. trump made news regarding a possible supreme court pick that is reverberating across the political world. >> well, they will be pro life and see about overturning but we will -- i will appoint judges that will be pro life. >> planned parenthood released the following statement. it backs it up with a policy agenda that is dangerous and ignores the very real issues women face in this country. trump discussed his meeting thursday with house speaker paul ryan and said this about the

democratic leaders will hold a press conference today to discuss the house legislative agenda ahead of trump's meeting. the latest into the investigation into the death of prince. authorities returned to his paisley park compound yesterday evening to search his complex. one of the doctors has been identified and police got a search warrant. >> reporter: among many of the unanswered questions about prince's untimely death, did a local doctor in minnesota treat him in his final days? a search warrant says dr. michael to do schulenberg, seen in this video made for a local university, examined prince twice. once on april 7th before his plane made an emergency landing in moline, illinois. then again on april 20th, the day before prince died. the warrant, which was issued to obtain prince's health record says dr. schulenberg was dropping off test results to prince at psl

during questioning by police, dr. schulenberg said he prince and the unspecified prescriptions were filled at a walgreens. dr. schulenberg is a family physician. he told investigators he worked for north memorial clinic. that hospital tells nbc news that he is no longer an impl employer. this comes after an attorney for dr. howard kornfeld an addiction specialist in california says a representative of prince called his client the night before the pop star died for what he described as a life saving mission. stephanie gosk, nbc news. minnesota. a man has come toward saying he is prince's son. on friday, the judge cleared the way for dna testing to be conducted o
