organ hosted their holiday party. staff pitched in to help santa pass out dolls and games and winter gear and holiday cheer too. this is mald madam organ's annual community christmas party. the angel tree project was kicked off with a huge distribution day today. almost 14,000 needy children around our region are served with gifts. >> looksed like -- merry christmas. >> merry christmas. >> the 4-year-old boy named akaro in southeast d.c. today received a new avengers bicycle and five gifts to open christmas day. his mom was on hand. you know, last year for the holidays they were leaving in a homeless shelter. this year they have their own apartment. there's our chris lawrence. he also helped deliver packages to another parent today. nbc 4 helped collect more than 100 gifts for kids in our

through, we have wind chills. 2 in gaithersburg. 14 in frederickburg. 2 in martinsburg. it is freezing cold. we have winds maybe gusting to 20, and that's about it. snou, as far as the radar is concerned, we're not seeing anything right now, but back it our west. we are watching another system. first off, the lake-effect snow keeps going up towards parts of new york. this is where our storm system is coming from. it's a warm front. you can see the snow associated with it. it will hit chicago first and then migrate our way. we'll start off with sunshine. then notice here by 5:00 we have the clouds. the clouds are here. watch what happens around 11:00 tomorrow night. snow back to the west with the front as it's moving across our region. notice how it does not extend into most of the region. now, the next round of rain starts to move our way. next round of precipitation starts as freezing rain. look how much of this is leesburg, frederick, hagerstown, baltimore, just north of d.c. that's at 6:00 a.m. 7:00 a.m. may move all the way down to the d.c. metro ar
at 8:00 as warmer air starts to move in. the other thing to notice, a little different that than what we were thinking yesterday. watch the rain here around noon. the big-time is in the morning. we have a winter storm watch into effect tomorrow night into noon on saturday for the areas here highlighted in wlu. i would expect this to be an advisory, maybe it's a winter weather advisory or rain advisory. something we're going to be watching for. now, next couple of days. 30 degrees tomorrow. 48 on saturday. really by midnight. probably 53. then we move into the middle of next week. not bad. chance of showers. maybe snow on friday. christmas eve. eve. we could see notice snow, and we couldkr

and roar and get off stage. and it was going to be good. but my mane fell off. i had a mane. [ audience aws ] and it was at a -- like, my very first artistic, like, crisis, as a performer. and i felt like, "do i go back and pick up the mane? do i just go ahead and roar? will they know what i am if i don't have a mane?" like, wha -- >> jimmy: you just, like, an orange dude, yeah. >> yeah. [ roars ] >> jimmy: you're wearing a a onesie, yeah. >> yeah. >> jimmy: exactly, yeah. >> and so i went back, picked it up. i did the roar. i got off stage. and afterwards, rosa parks, like, patted me on the head and smiled at me. >> jimmy: no. >> which was pretty amazing. and then -- >> jimmy: really? >> so i've been, since then, my whole career has been trying to recapture that feeling of approval, and that's what i'm looking for. so it's not just about, like, being on "saturday night live." it's kind of about working through some early childhood trauma.
