require the electors to vote for whomever won the state, but nothing in the constitution that explicitly requires them to do so. one elector in texas said that he will break with the state and instead not cast his society for donald trump, but historically that kind of break is a really rare, and since 1948 it has happened with nine people. so you can tell how unprecedented that would be. ultimately on january 6th, it is the vice president who presides over congress to count the votes and announce the results, and game it out. say that enough e electors would flip to prevent donald trump from getting to 270 and what then? it goes to the house of representatives and that means that it is virtually republican, and that means no chance that donald trump does not end up in the white house. >> thank you, haley jackson. and now to a delicate situation in syria where where thousands of people are waiting to be evacuated from

people is incalculable. this e evacuation could signal the end of the siege of the warfare that has been so cruel, so brutal to the civilians on both sides. es p especially for children, and many of them orphaned who have known nothing but war. matt. >> all right. bill kneely, thank you very much. breaking overnight, the russian defense officials say that one of the military planes crashed in northeast siberia with 39 people on board. it was apparently trying to make an emergency land iing near a soviet military base, and no one was killed, but 32 people had to be air lifted to local hospital, a and officials say that high winds may have played a role in the crash. corpus christi, texas, has lift ad ban on the drinking water after test results showed no contamination due to a chemical leak. the mayor said that they can resume using the water for bathing and cooking and drinking, and a ban had been

>> reporter: in wittier, california, the sound of chainsaws in a park as emergency crews pull victims out underneath huge branches and a toppled tree trunk. >> i heard a loud sound and i was looking up. >> reporter: these witnesses say they were just under this tree for a quinceanera and then a huge wedding party gathered around to take their pictures. >> they didn't notice it until the tree fell and the tip got most of them. >> cell phones from all over the park showing strangers coming to help. >> and there was a lady with a little baby and i didn't know what to do, but she was screaming, and soy held the baby and put it down, and she had a very big bump on the head and bleeding and boat of them were bleed

bleeding and blood all over. >> reporter: the firefighters were pulling out people who were cru crushed by the tree and this small child prayed nearby. and in the chaos, they talked about the bride. >> they had the bride in their arms and the limbs on the way of getting out and so me and another gentleman and my husband went to yank a huge chunk of the tree the off. >> reporter: overnight, the family confirmed that the bride was killed and others taken to the hospital and including a 4-year-old girl in critical condition. the entire park is closed off until ann arborist can determine why the tree fell. we are told that the 4-year-old girl had injure troy the head, but she is expected to recover. the accident happened saturday afternoon, and it did rain h heavily friday and they are looking into whether this caused this tragic accident. >> a

thank you for joining us. >> happy holidays. >> you had me for prime rib. >> every man that works here are going to be in the kitchen after this. >> and talk about the ingredients. >> we have the prime rib and the key is to ask the butcher to cut it off of the bone and tie the bone back on. >> how do you do that? >> cooking on the bone, but it is easier after you cook it to slice it. super simple. garlic and salt and pepper is all you need. for the gravy, flour, beef stock, cherry and vinegar and dee john mtard. >> and so this is what you to make little slits to put the slices of garlic and you want to do that? >> yes. >> how much do you need? >> a few pieces on each side, oso when it goes on the oven and the fat starts to cook, it will baste itself in the garlic flavor. >> and you did that so my fi

garlic all day long. >> yes. >> and the salt crust, and this is going to look like a lot of salt, but this meat needs it. so salt and pepper, and mix it altogether, and put it all over the prime rib and you want to make crust around it. this is going to the sit for about 30 minutes. >> it is important, sint? you need to rest in this position. >> and for a couple of hours if you'd like, but take it out of the refrigerator for 30 minutes and let it come to room temperature before it comes in the oven. >> and you put it in the nice big roasting pan and you have room around it? >> that way, you will have even cookg. so t ithovch is at 450 degrees, and that is going to give it a nice sear on the outside, but as soon as it goes in, you want to turn it down to 350 so that it will cook lower and slower and you will get the nice even cook iing. >> and up front, professional tasters. >> and oh, my gosh. >> and this is terrific. >> and i mean, all it

the salt and pepper, and man, this is crazy. >> and carson and al have died and bone to heavgone to heaven >> you take it out, and 120 degrees and then let it rest. so while it rests, let's make the gravy. the brown bits here and quarter of a cup of the fat left in the pan. add to it, flour, and cook the flour for a minute until the flour flavor cooks out. and matt, pour in the beef stock. so you pour in the beef stock and you can't ever have too much gravy, because everybody loves, that and you want to whisk this and get all of the flour mixed in and stir in the dijon mustard and you put in thyme
