that damage done after peaceful protests turn violent -- this is what it was like on the ground during the chaos. flash bangs, flares and tear gas hurled back and fourth between protestors and police officers.this all started after a black police officer shot and killed a black man. during the second night of violence in charlotte -- aside from the man that was shot -- four police officers and two the hospital. developing this morning:the county's director of health and human services expects to learn in the next several hours whether he will keep his job. hector colon's held the post for five years. but some county supervisors aren't convinced he should be reconfirmed. pete zervakis is live with a look ahead at the controversy. a county committee last week voted 3 to 2 to ?not reaffirm

infant daughter has been admitted to the hospital more than 20 times. one of the visits... 24-year-old kiara patterson told doctors her child had seizures, and another time, saw blood coming from her nose.doctors told investigators many of the tests to prove the baby was healthy.. were ?invasive and ?painful for this little girl. a no contact order was given to the miwaukee mother who now faces charges of physical abuse of a child.if convicted she faces up to six years in prison. a kenosha man will be today for trying to kidnap two women in seperate incidents. police say 62 year old leroy johnson tried to force a 52- year-old woman and a 14-year-old girl into his car last october. in both attempts johnson pulled a pellet gun. the victims were able to the former p-t-o presdient of hawthorne elementary in waukesha is looking for a lesser sentence today after stealing thousands of dollars from the p-t-o fund. jaime

for more scattered downpours throughout the day with muggy highs near 80. scattered downpours continue tonight with lows in the mid 60s. north dakota's national guard is getting more financial help as it helps law enforcement deal with protests at the dakota access pipeline. north dakota's emergency commission granted the state's national guard a six-million dollar line of credit to help pay for its work at the protest site. guard officials say they've already spent close to two

exxon mobile reaches a proposed settlement with the state of montana... and the federal government to pay 12- million dollars in damages over an oil spill on the yellowstone river in 2011.the money will go towards restoring wildlife and repair damages caused by the spill. exxon-mobil has already spent 1-hundred-35 million dollars to clean up the spill and restore damaged areas.the oil giant has also paid millions in fines for pollution violations. after months of super secret unveiled a massive solar plant... built in the arizona desert.the 13-thousand square foot building will power apple's data command center.... with the leftover energy it creates... going back to homes and businesses in the phoenix area. officials say the plant can supply more 12-thousand homes at once. officials in de pere wisconsin are going green at city hall... by taking the term environmentally friendly

breaking right now..if you have yahoo email address you are going to want to hear this. yahoo executives could confirm breach that exposed information of tens of millions of its users. according to the tech blog --recode , that confirmation - - if it comes -- would follow claims that surfaced in early august that a hacker was trying to sell usernames, passwords and birth dates of yahoo users on the dark web.if you've never heard of the dark web, it's essentially a black market of secret websites.all this is surfacing at the same time as verizon is looking to buy yahoo for billions of dollars.
