10:18 am
winds are up to 125 miles per hour and more strengthening is possible. we are looking at west palm beach up to melbourne toee t significant effects from this storm with winds tomorrow morning perhaps up near 145 miles per hour. keep in mind, hurricane-force winds only extend about 25 to 40 miles outside of the center of this storm, so if this storm is only 15 miles offshore, we could see the entire east central coast of florida be raked with hurricane-force winds causing damage, causing coastal flooding. that storm surge, and also siif it should weaken to a category 2 storm as it is just off the coast of georgia, and then it takes this weird loop all the way wrapping back around which we'll see what happens at that point. but we are looking again for as much as up to 12 to 15 inches of rain in florida and three to six-foot storm surge along with winds up near possibly 145 miles per hour.
