good morning. i'm ann sterling. i'm vince vitrano.let's start off with a check on the weather... with meteorologist brian gotter. despite clou showers, yesterday was warm and humid with highs in the lower 70s. t'showers developed late last evening and overnight ahead of the cold front with heavy rain at times. there is still a chance for showers this morning, then it clears out for this afternoon. temps this morning are in the upper 60s, and that will be the high for the day as a brisk nw wind increases to 20 mph, and drops temps into the 50s by noon. tonight

miles-an-hour later today. . meanwhile people in the bahamas are in clean up mode after hurricane matthew tore through the islands. the storm left trees down... and homes in ruins. so far the storm has taken more than 3-hundred-30 lives while injuring hundreds of others. we will have continuing coverage on hurricane matthew throughout the newscast -- and online at tmj4- dot- com. an inmate is back in custody this morning -- after he was accidentally released from wau-kesha county jail. inmate is "dustin palu-bicki". he turned himself in around 10 last night.he was released yesterday from the jail -- because his sentence was over... however he is currently wanted in forest county for not paying child support. the mistake is causing neighbors in the area to question this could even have happen in the first place.. what's going on(- somebody wasn't doing their job over there and so they should take a good look at that because if they release him who's next it doesn't matter if he's a threat or not they should still let the people know

"i can say with certainty that we took out the leadership and the greater chunk of the gang membership in the area." investigators are asking for help finding two of the gang's

authorities are hoping tips from the public will help bring them in. the fire department in la cross is illustrating the growing drug problem in its city.mapping out ??each spot where a needle was picked up in the last two years... including spots near the children's museum... parks... even schools. matthew this morning. a state of emergency is declared for florida and south carolina.. mandatory evacuations are also in place for florida... the carolinas... and georgia. state officials say.. it's now up to residents to leave or put themselves in the path of destruction. we are not going to drag anybody out of their houses against their will but the mandatory evacuation designation is significant, it's the highest warning we n give to as ople the urgency right now the death toll of the hurricane continues to rise. stay with us as we follow the storm the rest of the morning. the slogan for homecoming at a wisconsin high school appears to have a political connection... and not everyone is happy about it.new london's homecoming slogan is "make homecoming great again".it was voted as this year's homecoming catch phrase -- by
