yesterday was a crazy weather day with highs near 70 around the noon hour with rain showers, and then the cold front moved through and a brisk nw wind dropped temps into the 40s and 50s with rain and drizzle all evening. the clouds overnight and temps dropped into the 30s with patchy inland frost this morning. despite a lot of sun, today is the coldest day since mid may with highs only in the mid 50s. tonight will be clear and cold once again with lows in the 30s and patchy inland frost.

deputies are heading to north dakota to help with ongoing protests. their help comes as tension continues to rise over the pipline access there. 10 dane county deputies along with five other wisconsin agencies are relieving the north dakota officers.. who have been standing a post for nearly 60 days.more than 120 people have been arrested since august for involvement in these protests. a green bay police officer is getting a lot of praise for an act of compassion.a teen accused of stealing food from a store told the officer he was hungry couldnt pay.rather than arresting him... the officer offered to buy the teen something to eat, then delivered groceries to his home. a woman who witnessed the interaction posted about it on facebook. the post has been shared nearly a thousand times. check this piece of hardware out.it's west allis fire department's new off -road
