several vehicles couldn't help but ram into each other.. let's take a live look outside this morning... welcome to live at daybreak on today's tmj4. i'm vince vitrano.and i'm susan kim. let's get a check of your weather and traffic together... yesterday was cloudy and seasonal with highs in the to upper 30s that melted a lot of sunday's 2-4" of snow. this morning remains mostly cloudy and chilly with lows in the mid 30s along the lake and upper 20s inland. after some morning patchy fog, today is mostly cloudy and seasonal

and the chief of police in wauwatosa is explaining how dashboard camera video helped clear his officer. ann sterling is live with more. the video is 28 seconds long. it's grainy ... and graphic. the family has said they want the public to see this video. but we do want to warn you, it is disturbing this is what transpired between the officer and jay anderson. just released dash cam video. this is back in june.. officer joseph men-sah was checking on a suspicious vehicle around three in the morning in madison park in wauwatosa. he found jay anderson sleeping... a gun next to him. he radioed that information to dispatch -- asking for backup. a minute after that jay anderson would be dead. officer mensah says during that time -- he told anderson to put his hands up and at first anderson listned. but then the officer says he dropped his right hand three times. in the video you see

back up and then back down ... and that is when the officer fires.officer mensah shot anderson 5 times in the head and once in the shoulder. the medical examiner found anderson was legally drunk and had marijuana in his system. under that statue -- the district attorney found officer mensah acted in self defense and cleared him of any wrong doing.mensah is expected to return to active duty soon. jay anderson's family is in disbelief over this decision. they say anderson was groggy and was not reaching for the gun. we have been covering this story since june. you can find all of our stories on our website ... tmj four dot com. more news now - milwaukee police are searching for the two men who robbed a woman at gunpoint.. demanding her car.

hampton.. charletta harwell- payne says she was cleaning out her car on the street when out of nowhere the two men walked up. she says she was then pulled out of her car and slammed to the ground. 14:23:55 "i thought that i was going to die that night." 14:26:49 "i just told god please just watch over my baby, take care of my daughter."along with the suspects.. police are looking for a 2002 navy blue pt cruiser. a community continues to cope with the ic young father and his daughter. racine police posted these photos on its facebook page - showing students at red apple school receiving 'comfort items' from officers.kevin dalley and his daughter 9- year-old emily dalley were killed after a suspected drunk driver crashed into them last month in caledonia. the west allis police department is searching for a woman who vanished after leaving potawatomi hotel and casino.43-year-old tiffany san felippo was last seen driving

week ago. here's the license plate... it's 8-4-9-s-p-x. the car was found a week later in milwaukee. if you know where she is, you are asked to call the west allis police department at 414- 302- happening now -- police are looking for a gunman who shot an ohio firefighter while responding to a house fire. it happened in youngstown as the firefighter was riding in a fire tru the firefighter was hit as the bullet went through the door of the truck.no word on the condition of the firefighter. the suspect fled on foot... police believe the shooter used a rifle. governor scott walker says he's open to having the state help pay for a new juvenile corrections center in milwaukee county.right now-- the state's two juvenile facilities share a campus north of wausau. lincoln hills

president-elect donald trump continues his "u-s thank you tour 2016."the tour is essentially a victory lap covering the battleground states where he defeated hillary clinton on his way to the presidency.today trump holds a campaign-style rally in fayetteville, north carolina. the 2016 capitol christmas tree lighting will take place today on the west lawn of the u-s capitol.the tree will be lit by speaker of the house paul ryan and a fifth grader from boise, idaho named isabella gerad.the tree is from the payette forest in idaho.. and will be adorned with ornaments made by idahoans. beyond wisconsin this morning - the georgia father convicted of murder after leaving his 22-month-old son in a hot car was sentenced to life in prison without parole.justin ross harris was convicted last month of malice murder and other charges.the judge handed down the maximum sentence and said the court found harris had "intentionally and unnecessarily" inflicted
