twenty-eight seconds recorded by a dash camera is the only video evidence of what happened the night a wauwatosa police officer shot and killed jay anderson . the video is grainy... but officials say it was critical in clearing the officer of wrong doing. ann sterling is live with more. the video is now being released because the wauwatosa police officer who shot and killed jay anderson will not face criminal charges. the d - a just made that family of jay anserson has said they want the public to see this video -- but we do want to warn you, it is disturbing this is what transpired between the officer and jay anderson.this is back in june.. officer joseph men-sah was checking on a suspicious vehicle around three in the
wauwatosa. he found jay anderson sleeping... a gun next to him. he radioed that information to dispatch -- asking for backup. a minute after that jay anderson would be dead. officer men-sah says during that time -- he told anderson to put his hands up and at first anderson listned. but then the officer says he dropped his right hand three times. in the video you see his right hand go down then back up and then back down ... and that is when the officer fires.officer mensah shot anderson ??5 times in the head and once in the shoulder. the medical examiner found anderson was legally drunk and had the district attorney found officer mensah acted in self defense and cleared him of any wrong doing.mensah is expected to return to active duty soon. jay anderson's family is in anguish over learning this decision.. but they say this means they're not stopping. the family calls it dishonest for all of the information to not be released on the same day. anderson's father

assembly is calling for more money for wisconsin roadways. to make his point - he went for a bumpy ride. pete zervakis is live to explain. this morning in madison a state assembly commitee will hold a public hearing on the department of transportation's budget request... which right now is about 1-billion dollars more than what the state says it to make the case for more funding towards roads... assembly speaker robin vos released this video. it shows vos riding - in a burlington rescue squad ambulance bouncing along on the streets of racine county. vos's cousin works for the ambulance squad and invited him on the ride. the speaker and other republican leaders in the assembly have called for at least considering an increase in the gas tax to help plug
budget. but yesterday... republican state senators duey stroebel and chris kapenga came out strongly against any type of tax increase. they say there are other ways to increase funding towards roads. the governor released a statement coming out strongly against a gas tax increase. saying he and other republicans were elected in 2010 to lower taxes... and they should not back out of that promise. live...pz... tmj4 the supreme court is tackling the issue of voter maps. justices heard two cases monday that tackle allegations of racial "gerrymandering". that's when voting districts are drawn by lawmakers to favor a specific political party or interest.the cases involve proposed voting maps created by republicans in virginia and north carolina. it's unclear when the court will rule on both cases. when a touch of arctic air arrives is just ahead in your
