new this morning, 10 navy sailors being held by iran are expected to be released within hours. the sailors were taken into custody after their ship accidentally drifted into territorial waters. right now, they're being held at an iranian base on farsi island in the persian gulf. 10 news reporter emerald morrow is on top of this story... emerald...have any of the sailors been hurt? allison--good news. as far as we

and one woman are reported to be okay. and according to the washington post...the iranian officials are interrogating the sailors and demanding an apology before they release them... the sailors were traveling from kuwait to bahrain--but a mechanical breakdown led them into iran's waters where they were accused of trespassing. the sailors were captured just hours before president obama's last state of the union address. and many were expecting him to tweak his speech to address what was going on. however, the only mention of iran at all was about reaching a nuclear deal with the country. iranian leaders have come out and said the sailors acted unprofessionally... but we have learned though that the iranian foreign minister spoke with secretary of state john kerry. we have reports that he personally assured him that the sailors would be allowed to continue on their journey. this is all happening just weeks after iran set off a rocket near

in the meantime, we're watching to see when those sailors are released. we'll let you know when it happens. live in the studio, emerald morrow, 10 news, wtsp. developing now, at least 10 people are dead and a dozen hurt after police in cameroon say two female suicide bombers attacked a mosque. cameroon is just southeast of nigeria. it's fighting to wipe out boko haram, a terrorist group which became an affiliate of the islamic state group last year. president obama has laid out his vision for the u-s during his final year as commander in chief. obama said both parties need to work together to fix some of the broken policies. while he didn't mention any of the g-o-p presidential candidates by name.. he did warn about the attitudes and words used against islam. president obama also urged american voters to replace him with a democrat who would continue his policies on health care, climate

following the president's address, south carolina governor nikki haley delivered the republican response. she focused on the threat of terrorism in our country. she also said she hoped the next president would help fix a broken government. right now, an investigation is underway after a motorcyclist and a deputy collided in st. petersburg pinellas county says the deputy was pulling his unmarked car out of a parking lot and onto martin luther king street north at 62nd avenue north. that's when the motorcyclist struck his car. he was taken to the hospital with life threatening injuries. deputies say it does not appear that speed or impairment are factors in the crash. in a few hours, former pro wrestler hulk hogan will be in court. there will be a hearing for his trail against gawker. he is suing the website for 100 million dollars for releasing a sex tapes. his attorneys accuse gawker of

scammers selling shares of powerball tickets on the internet. the scam's website features the official florida lottery logo and more information about florida lottery games. it also says they are a "usa powerball syndicate." it looks pretty legit. the site says that players purchase shares of powerball tickets and any winnings are divided equally between each share. sounds great-- if it wasn't a sham. so will we finally have a winner in this record powerball? some well known economists broke down the numbers and said there's a 97 percent chance someone wins this mega money. live in south tampa, sarah hollenbeck, 10news wtsp we all know one and a half billion
