yes, disney says the suits misrepresent facts. but the employees claim disney is looking to save money by replacing american workers with immigrants. and it's not just the two filing suit-- 250 tech workers were dismissed from the giant entertainment company. two americans leo perrero and dena moore both filed class-action lawsuits in federal court in tampa this week. the suits say disney consulting cognizant --- knowingly brought to replace americans, despite ratings. the workers claim the companies colluded to break the law by using temporary visas to bring in immigrant workers. perrero's lawyer in sarasota claims disney lied under oath saying no americans would lose their jobs. disney is vigorously denying the accusations, saying it requires its
all laws. adding that all but 95 of the tech workers laid off in orlando were rehired to other positions or moved on voluntarily. in the studio, sarah hollenbeck, 10news wtsp a lockdown at a north carolina college is lifted this morning after reports of a gunman on campus. it happened monday night at winston salem state university. police say someone showed a gun on campus, but no shots were fired and no one was hurt. police did a sweep of the campus and didn't find the gunman. new this morning, president obama is proposing a plan to expand retirement plans. he'll reveal the proposal to congress next month. the plan would allow about 30 million american workers to have access to retirement obama says part of the plan will give companies that enroll employees in plans. a health alert the spread of the zika virus. affected more than a countries and is expected to spread. zika has been linked to birth
right now.. women in brazil and colombia have been asked to avoid getting pregnant. 13 people are safe this morning thanks to the quick rescue of the coast guard. take a look at this video. this is about 13 miles off the coast of fort lauderdale. a yacht started taking on water at about 6:00 monday night and sank less than two hours later. rescuers say a mechanical issue may have led to the problem. rescuers say the boaters were lucky that it happened so close to shore making it easier for them to be rescued. pirates are hoping to take over the city of tampa today! the captain of ye mystic krewe of gasparilla has demanded to meet with mayor bob buckhorn at noon in downtown to negotiate a peaceful surrender of the city. if mayor buckhorn does not surrender the "key to the city" and negotiations are not met, the pirates will return for this saturday's
